We love to see our gear in action, thanks for the video! We hear you on the Gorkas. The K2 definitely stays to the original suit's roots so there are a few things that are old-school for sure, but a lot of people like that. We're working hard to further police the stitching/fraying issue you brought up, which did improve with our new manufacturer of our current batch of our KLMK inspired K2s. As always we encourage anyone with QC issues to reach out to our support and we'll get you settled 😉 Our "M"-model gorkas which have been on hiatus for a little while are significantly more modernized while still keeping some of the "gorka" spirit. The next M gorkas will be quite the leap, including compatibility with various kneepads as it's been a popular request.
That's really my only issue with the K2 gorkas I own. The stitching is fraying and coming apart like crazy. So much so that I'm worrying about using them anymore for fear of them coming apart.
It would amazing if he went full autism and got super jacked for no reason. He seems like the type where once he’s set on something he just….. goes… poker faced the whole way.
Call it a 'maybe'- I tend to think the Crossfire DZ-Rig we showed off in the load-bearing gear video is a better iteration on the concept. But we won't rule it out.
@@ExplosiveEnterprises Actually if you can you might also wanna take a look at british KitPimp MTP webbing. Valgear talked about that in his smersh video as being better than the original russian smersh and it's only 160 euro. Also looks surprisingly close to the DZ while being half the price
Oh my, I used to have a gorka3 set that I'd wear the pants of quite regularly until I blew the gooch out after like 3 years. I got them from a russian retailer so I couldn't find anyone who stocked them anymore due to the whole war happening.
Seems pretty solid, might get one as I'm looking to expand to chest rigs, should hopefully hold AUG mags, but is there a way to mount canteen pouches though?
@@ExplosiveEnterprises Thanks! The Canteen placement isn't great then but I'll find a rig eventually, thanks again and I love how informitave your videos are
I’ve enjoyed using my 84 rig with single g3 mags as it gives a kydex insert feel to the rig. I own an m1 gorka for events, the zipper up the middle is nice, the buttons are the same, and the stitching is about the same. The foot straps were terribly sewn on so i cut them off.
"for lack of better alternatives" personally id recommend the NI chest rig. either in triple 5.56 as issued or double 30 round L4 magazine by wyvern. (both have 3 cells for either 9 5.56 or 6 L4 bren mags) they can be had for about 45-65usd and minus the molle sections (and the price tag) seems very very similar. the wyvern one i have in green is still trudging along after being made in the mid 70s. so cant knock the quality of it.
Very familiar, and those are a great option if you like the layout and need a bit of sustainment with your mags. Arktis still makes them as the M170 Classic. Personally, though, I'm not a fan of rigs that put canteen pouches under the armpits- the P84's combination of bulk up front (full combat load of mags) but slimmer sides is the layout that's hard to find.
Honestly really liking the rig. I feel you on always hunting for a gear set up that works better. Any chance you're planning to check out the new run of vfc g36? Or a master video going over use of propane vs CO2 specifically for gbbr (there's so many conflicting things out there and sorting through the snake oil is painful especially while trying to decide which magazines Im gonna stock up on)
last time I had troubles with my rig so I was looking for something new, definitely gonna keep this one in mind! also, what AK were you using? it looks slick!
I prefer X harnesses over Hs because the Hs never synch down enough for my size. Guess I'm too smol. Xs also let me get the chest area higher up on my chest. Hs usually sit too low closer to my belly which is not ideal. I prefer it up higher.
@ExplosiveEnterprises will you ever do a tutorial on how to make the m4 beta c-mag? noticed it was homebrewed; I've been interested in making a ar-rpk and the drum would be a welcomed addition to the project. thanks lots
Great video! I’ve been using my p84 2.0 for a few months now and its versatility of different magazines has been unmatched! And is that gernade you are talking about next the breytac blank kit?
I have gorkish jacket from helicon, that is stupidly water proof, isolates great and usses original idea of air isolation by being buffy and big. I love it, but problem is with quality, i got terrible example, where one side of the whole jacket is higher then the other, how did this happen? Idk, but look's bad up close. They stiched it by doing some wichcraft and the fitted same lenght of zip on both sides, and it looked fine at first but it broke later on with use. I replaced it with diffrent zip and now it work great but look bad is you know where to look. Great to see another gear video, i use some general ideas you form here to make my own gear better and avoid problems you highlight from time to time.
We don't have any on-hand to test, but considering they can swallow a long Saiga mag or just barely stuff three stanag magazines in each pouch, we'd be shocked if paintball mags don't fit.
We've shown Nixieworks pouches in a couple of videos, but I'm really not a fan of the buttpack concept that is the cornerstone of the Lightfighter rig. Having to take the rig off to self-access is not ideal, and the buttpack is tall enough that it interferes with a backpack. We suggest looking into the Crossfire DZ-Rig or British-style webbing (eg JayJay's) instead.
You prefer this over your belt kit? Ive been invested in looking for that load bearing belt you recommend in a previous video but I'm trying to find a pencott greenzone or PL Wasp 2 Z3A equivalent which seems impossible. I was thinking of potentially grabbing a tmc battlebelt and putting h harness on it but it wont be the same.
Different gear for different purposes. Harnessed belt kit is better for carrying fighting gear + sustainment all day on foot, while this chest rig is a sleeker and quicker-to-access means of carrying just the fighting gear. It all comes down to figuring out what your needs are.
6:10 what would you suggest is changed to make using this with a belt? I think longer tops that cover the trouser belt loops are always going to have this problem and I feel the button mean it will last longer than velcro that will stop looping.
It'd be cool to have slits (zippered, maybe?) to allow pass-through of an inner belt to the loops on the pants underneath. Or the provision to attach an inner belt directly to the jacket, or perhaps velcro so the outer can be stuck directly on. You're right, it is a common problem with wearing tactical belts and jackets together- but this is an area where we'd really like to see a better solution than just forgoing the two-piece design. In the meantime, the HSGI Suregrip adapter is the most comfortable (and more importantly, stable) solution we've used.
Whole point of gorka and surplus chest rigs (like p84,chickoms,LBE or other "jungle belts")is its price gorka was always like 60-70 bucks for the whole demiseason suit same goes for p84 back then it made a lot of sense to buy these since it was a lot of music for very very low price. BUT today you pay premium for these original or replica, doesnt matter. Design is nothing special you could say not even mediocre, same goes for materials and build quality . You can get so much better stuff for the same price even something premium. absolute waste of time and money. either get it cheap or save the money for something better. But must say that defender + that gorka is the best s.t.a.l.k.e.r setup/cosplay I have ever seen and the most realistic one . Other than that use the money for something better that costs the same.
kommando store gorkas are way overpriced for what they are. not real gorkas nor are they high speed enough for today's market. you could get a real gorka from sso or bars for sub 200, ive seen em go as low as 115.

Why do you sell awful gooner patches :(
Id love to see a more water resistant variant appear on the market, Splav Gorkas are allegedly waterproof and I'd love to get one as a motorcycle suit
Gotta say, the clean shave and weight loss definitely are a wild combo

That's not a wild combo at all it's a pretty standard combo

i already have the p84 2.0 sitting in UK customs as we speak so this is a great insight video from you. Cheers :)
Holy shit, you weren't kidding, you lost a LOT of weight, looking great man 🤟🏻
Another gear video. Fantastic job guys. Watching your previous gear video helped diversify my kit

Killer vid bro, outstanding work! Stalker kit looks great!
Nothing confirmed from them yet but I can't wait for their ranger green battle jacket clone
That chest rig looks really good! Just the right combo of size and carrying ability, I’d say.
Seems pretty solid, might get one as I'm looking to expand to chest rigs, should hopefully hold AUG mags, but is there a way to mount canteen pouches though?
Just checked and two AUG mags will fit per cell. Canteen pouches will fit on the molle, but then you will have canteens in your armpits.
Every pound you lose, that's another GBBR mag you can carry.

Do paintball Magfed mags, such as the Planet Eclipse CF20 fit in the pouches?

what molle vest do you use for the loner/strelok outfit?

Nope, they're from Lighthammer Forge- check out their Etsy store.
Can you do a video on CYMA CGS?
What did you mean by HSGI suregrip adapter?
Tried researching but what I saw doesn’t match exactly what I see in the video

It is a different version of the defender 2 armor with molle webbing.

What flashes are those in the ug pouches?
have you considered some of similar Chinese brand chest rig, such as pewtac GT recce chest rig
Why, chinese only can copy with inferioir stiching and materials..
How does the rig do with long Saiga mags?
It'll only hold one per cell, but the flaps are long enough to close on them with plenty of velcro, so 3 long Saiga mags on the rig works great.

perhaps a dumb question but why do you carry blanks?
