Probably the best episode to date. For Todd to bare his soul like he did takes an enormous amount of courage. I'm definitely old school and I know Dale Sr. would step up here and give Todd a shot. I hope this lands him a job. As sure as I was Larson would be back bigger and better I know Todd would! Let's get this man back on top a pit box! Thank you Todd for this heartfelt episode. Great interview from both Dale and Mike. God bless all
Amen! He is a gem and I can’t believe that he is at home watching races instead of having a hand in the outcome of the races. Come on you teams that are struggling, give this man a call and let him help you! Jordan and Hamlin are you paying attention? I know you have three more teams coming!

Real talk with Todd Parrott. It takes a solid and genuine person to own their mistakes and shortcomings! Best of luck to him and many thanks for helping make the sport better and more enjoyable for those of us who watch.
Ditto. He and DJ were amazing together. Everyone makes mistakes but no one should be judged by others. You can still see the hurt in him…forgive yourself Todd…you are a good person.
@@slabbusterrtr7690 Yes, one of my favorite non-Jeff Gordon paint schemes. Blue base, red and white stripes, that scheme was clean and such an iconic look, when he went to UPS things looked so different seeing DJ in brown and white.
It’s great to hear Todd’s story, we all fall short daily somewhere in our lives, but those that recognize their mistakes and correct them become winners, it may be on the track or in an office , but you’ll rise to the top if you never give up and never look back but remember the mistakes you made in the past made you who you are today. Todd seems to be a great guy with a lot of talent and knowledge, best of luck Mr Parrot .
As someone who's hit rock bottom, it was simultaneously one of the worst, but also one of the best things that ever happened to me. I'm sure Todd feels the same way.
One of the best interviews ever. Someone give this man a job and Dale I gotta say I was never a fan of you when you were racing but over these grown to really like you more and more with every podcast.
This sport has driven so many great men to do so many terrible things in life. Gods grace and mercy has no limits. Thank you Dale for having Todd on, and thank you Todd for having the courage to open up. The old school class will always be the best.
Wow! One of the most powerful interviews I’ve ever seen in my life. I’ve always been a big fan of Todd, but it just increased 100x! That’s really not an interview it’s a roadmap for life. Todd is a true hero 🌞
Great interview ! This man is appreciative of his treatment program and it obviously made him a new person. Sometimes a human being has to hit rock bottom to really wake up and smell the roses. I really admire his passion and honesty. ❤👍
This is such a cool thing to see Todd still got a little fire in his soul and wants to still be successful in racing. This is a cool interview, and I pray each day he keeps on that good path. Great job guys!!
After watching 8 hrs straight of these podcasts, I finally realize how important they are. These rich compilations of stories detailing the past 20 plus years of Nascar history have provided insight, healing and certainly plenty of laughs and cries. Thank you for providing such an additional element for us all to enjoy. Great job by all!!
Mike Davis, great job taking the lead on this part of the interview. I've been a fan of the Parrotts for years. They have always put 110% into their work. Looks like Todd has done the same with his life. Buddy's post-race victory interview after the 1990 Daytona win is my favorite Parrott moment. Great episode!!
Jr, your podcast is pretty much the only reason I stay interested in anything tied to Nascar, I grew up with it, we used to go watch at Nashville fairgrounds, your Dad would be Intimidating Proud.
This is just deep. Back in the day I use to know (not personally) so many drivers, crew members, owners and what teams they were on or where they came from...now after the mid- 2000 I practically just stopped followed nascar altogether. However, coming to these podcast broadcasts with these stories makes me reflect those times and reminese those memories of how fun nascar racing use to be. I'm loving these stories more and more and I really do appreciate Dale jr. Doing these special interviews. Keep doing it man, the sport owes it to you to keep these memories alive!
Great interview and a good example of someone who made a mistake and hit rock bottom to own up to it and put everything in to climb back out and on top. Way to go Todd your an inspiration to all in that situation.
With Jr having Xfinity teams, this dude is great with cars and getting to know how to make cars go fast and work with talent. Jr, hire this man and watch how successful you can be !!!
Hello Dale and Mike and Todd amazing interview I have been a long time fan of Todd Parrot this man has been to the top and fallen to the bottom and has come back I wish Todd and his family well Take Care Guys
This wasn't a interview or podcast for Todd. This was a personal healing moment. He walked out of Jr Motorsports feeling a lot better than he did walking in. That man has had some emotions and pain built up for along time he needed to get out. You could tell Todd needed this moment just as much the show did.
I had the pleasure of working with Todd Parrot last year at Rick Ware and was in Daytona for his 700th start as a crew chief. Great man, very knowledgeable and always willing to share stories.
Dirty Mo Therapy sessions with Dale jr. Gotta nice ring to it. Awesome stories and some of his guests look like they need to talk. Just love this show and haven't missed an episode in two years. Keep up the great work.🇦🇺🇺🇸👌
Another great interview. Dale and Mike are having great guests on the show. Always had the upmost respect for Todd, Buddy and Brad Parrott. Would love to see Todd back at the track soon. Always liked the interviews with Todd after Dale Jarrett won. He was emotional then as well.
He needs to be crew chief again. I bet he's got another few wins in him if not a championship. Glad to see McDowell mentioned as he's quietly helping FRM become more than a back filler too. I swear, if this gets even one thumbs down, that person who does it has no heart or compassion for anything or anyone.
Todd Parrott was a great crew chief I remember him and #88 DJ winning a lot hope to see him back on the box in cup soon seems like a really good person
This was the most honest interview of all the people you had on this show. Most of everyone else either didn't talk about certain things or didn't give all the information. Everyone that was around Nascar in the 80's and 90's knows how much cheating and crazy stuff was going on. There was plenty of drinking and drugs back then. A lot of guys were alcoholics including the big rig drivers. But you won't get most people to admit that.
I listened to the whole podcast. Would LOVE to see him on top of the wagon again!! I'll even buy ya some fancy hankies TP!! This guy has, and has always had, the right stuff. Heart. Brains. Knowledge.
My grand dad taught me early in life that integrity has nothing to do with not screwing up, it is all about what you do with your screw ups... Todds emotion just tells me that he is invested. If i was putting together a team he would for sure be on my short list.
This has been a great series with Todd. I really like theses videos better than the podcast; being able to see gestures and emotions on the faces of those in attendance. Besides, I like that the videos are shorter in length than the podcast. Thanks
Junior your podcasts on TBI and now Todd Parrott are the BEST I've heard anywhere. You get the good stuff to the people. Rudy Fugle at the 24 has a great back story. Maybe consider him in a few years.
I remember at some point in the 2001 season the 88 hauler was stopped on the I-95 exit in Kings Bay GA getting gas. DJ and Gordon had been battling for the points lead and as an Earnhardt fan I hated Gordon but liked DJ even though I was pulling for Jr. At that point I hadn't been to a Nascar race before so seeing the hauler was cool. I walked up and started chatting with the driver and told him I was pulling for DJ to whoop Gordon and he ended up letting me in the hauler and checking out the car and everything else. Later that season my first race was the 2001 Pepsi 400. Whoever the driver was of the hauler, I appreciate the day and I got to see your cars up close and personal, Todd Parrott.
I grew up an bill elliott fan and became a dale jarrett and just like you have not watched much since he retired. I've jumped back in with blanket a few years ago but watching the same 4 teams win most the stuff because they have 20x the budget gets old. Same thing in the nhra
@@parentsbasement7734 I tried watching a few years ago, but it's not the same. Most of the guys that win aren't from the South, they have the personalities of stock brokers. I watched some of the Daytona 500 this year and it was so boring. Nobody could pass.
Man same here, I became a diehard Dale Jarrett fan at the age of 12, watched every race until he retired then I became a diehard Jr fan. It was a blast to watch them both, now I'm a diehard Chase fan.
This entire interview was purely brilliant. I never had any idea that Todd Parrott was such a deep guy. I just kinda always thought of him as one of those standard crew chiefs who just had faded away. Maybe Jr should bring in Todd to be Noah's crew chief!
Shocking that he is currently working at Lowes. Humbling I'm sure for him. Is there more to the story after Todd got another chance after the 2013 suspension? It doesn't make sense that there is no job with any team after 37 years experience and championships. I'm pulling for you Todd!
I need to get to the dirty Mo Lowes before Todd gets snatched up bya race team!! I got projects to get done quickly and how often do you get to pick a good brain like that?
I totally agree! I've been trying to find the back story to no avail. What happened that he's totally out of racing and working at Lowes? At Lowes doing what and why? Was he blacklisted? So many questions unanswered...
Stumbled across this channel a few days ago, love the content. Just wish it was more Dale being involved in the convo and less of the other guy trying to dominate it.
Todd is a great crew chief and yes , Noah has to drive or "navigate" while driving with other drivers . Send him up to Canada , so he can take the morning commute , 6:00 am into Toronto

WHY is there so much hate for Mike Davis?? Without him, there would be no Dirty Mo Media (it was pretty much all his idea AND he pretty much runs it) and the Dale Jr Download would have never been a thing. He is Junior's right hand man in just about everything.
I can totally relate to Todd’s emotions. I have seen cases where the person’s anxiety has thought to have been caused by exposure to carbon monoxide over time. Maybe this could be Todd’s case?
