You put me on heavy on turning that gun when doing sealer and sealer on the blend parts. I really appreciate the time you take to put in the videos for us new guys. It truly makes me happy. love this trade
Hi Kandy Man, lovely job on the candy paint it always amazes me how you get such a good invisible blend when you are working with a ground coat then the candy on top, all the candy colours in my paint scheme is done with a tinted basecoat binder over the ground coat then cleared. I hope you all feared ok through the hurricane, it was on our news here and the floods and wind damage looked awful, stay safe🙏👍John UK
Hey Kandy Man. I spray booth looks amazing. The led lights are sooo bright. Mazda 46V is my favorite OEM color. House of Color selection is sick. The blazer paint looks awesome. Enjoy the weekend brother. Stay away from those hurricanes in sunny Florida.
Hi from the UK. I’ve focused on the comment about using the original scan than using the adjusted formula if over 90%. I use Baslac which is the economy version of glasurit 90 line which I imagine uses very similar software and camera. I’m gonna talk to my paint rep about that. I do use the spectral curve readings to analyse the matches 👍
New booth lights look good! Nice and bright. Nice I’ve been excited to see 46v on the 100 line. I wonder what the dui level is. Looks like no imperfections.
True candy dies can be mixed into the clear coat, but can also be mixed into a carrier base such as HOK SG100 or SG-00 Trans Nebulae, then cleared over. I'm sure you are aware of this and may be worth mentioning.
HOK was bought by sherwin williams iirc , I haven't used that stuff in yeeeears . Made me a bit sentimental seeing the old colour chart 😅 . Nice work as always candyman 👍👍
Thank you for a very informative video! Do you have any tips on how to spray sealer e.g. PPG DAS3021 and get a full wet coat and no runs or sags? I am having a very hard time with it using same gun and tip as you. Any thoughts would be most greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Looks great! Ever since my shop switched to 100Line, we have struggled to butt match 46v, we can get the face good but because of the non clear coat candy, the flop ends up being too light and we can never get the final color blue enough. We’ve thinned the candy, different number of coats, nothing seems to work! Any suggestions? Heavily considering ordering a clear coat candy from another line just to make it work.
hey kandy man monday i start working at a bodyshop i been painting cars out on the wild so i will have some help and traing ill be using sherwin williams system any tips for the system and well there so much to help here so ill be watching all your videos
how are you achieving such a fine clear coat? You moved the gun so fast, if I did this my clear would be full of orange peel and very dry looking, however if I then slow my application down it goes on heavy, wavy and it sags on me. Please help with this
What do you think is the best thing to do in order to prepare an after market panel for a Chevel it’s already in that black primer they put on them , would I just scuff with the red scuf pad or hit 320 and prime
@@kandyman5315 I seen that Sylvester does 80g and take all the e coat off those types of panels and he puts epoxy primer , would that be a better option
If only you had better camera gear to show your work of better, stop using 720p old resolution from when HD just first started, get with atleast 1080P..... but 4k would be much better.
More of a camera man than a Kandy man! I can’t help but notice you take the camera in and out of focus to make it look like there is no peal at all.. on a different note.. you definitely don’t have to seal the edge of your blend panels with 100 line.. I paint everything off like you and it’s not necessary to make it match. But that’s just my opinion
Crash champions is very lucky to have you as a painter 🎉

I spray Standox water and our candy reds use a dye in the clearcoat.

Very nice, question with your black hat/hair cover do you have that one for work as with this type of work there is a lot of dust.
Yes sir
Can u show what white candy looks like no orange peal 🙏

How long did this take if you weren’t filming
Same time
3m gun, finer head, you use 1.2, 1.3, or 1.4?
This one was the 1.4
Quick question, can you paint if it's raining outside?
Yes

320 then primer

@JuanjoseMiguel-z9f yes if your air lines are perfectly clean of moisture
@@kandyman5315 any good primer you can recommend for that process , I was thinking of putting an epoxy dtm
Mazda is pretty close with their red candy....As a non pro....I'm a little afraid to try to blend it.....
