    Sorry but no. The show does not make me go "oh yeah I see why the jury thought he was not guilty" Already knew why they voted that way and it had absolutely nothing to do with evidence or substantial facts. Anyone who watches interviews with some of the jury you can tell they weren't all the most intelligent and some had a point to make. On the same hand you can also see why they wanted to make that point.

    • @jillmayer9501
      @jillmayer9501 3 роки тому +4

      If you watch the show it’s very apparent how he got off. Manipulation. Poor jury selection, mistakes on the prosecutions part and johnnie cochran was a genius. The jury didnt believe he wasn’t guilty. They believed the defense team proved reasonable doubt. Which they did - given the political climate at the time and the fact that the LAPD looked like complete racists following the rodney King riots.

    • @noeltaylor3594
      @noeltaylor3594 3 роки тому +2

      Jury's aren't really picked on "intelligence". I've been part of one and part of the voir dire 4 times and I've seen a lot of "smart" people dismissed. Because of your obvious preconceived notions, you wouldn't have made it.

      Coroner who didnt even do the exam reporting. Uncredible witnesses claiming they saw a white vehicle but then a more credible witness says definitely not. Character witness caught lying with video evidence. Rcaist cop caught lying with taped evidence. Cops on video mishandling evidence.
      There is just so much about the case that screams not guilty. The jury's decision was reasonable and the prosecution did a terrible job.

      @linkbelt111 5 років тому +10

      paola gongora actually, it was pretty easy. Mark Fuhrman all but admitted to being a racist, and the recordings of him buried the prosecutions credibility. The crime lab blew protocol a dozen times in evidence collection, thus , a lot of key evidence was not admissible in court. Reasonable doubt was cast early on during the trial!

    • @divyangvaidya9675
      @divyangvaidya9675 5 років тому +4

      The show is better for those who don't know anything about OJ like me i mean i didn't know anything then i watched the docuseries then i understood who OJ was and both sides and how they got that verdict. But that verdict was because of the way it was with the LAPD in LA at the time. Obviously, if we had the trial today the verdict would be different, possibly even a mistrial. Now, with that being said yes i do believe he was guilty but the reasonable doubt within the jury was created because of the tapes and that was enough to sway that jury of 12 into not guilty.

    • @brockcuryer8511
      @brockcuryer8511 5 років тому +5

      The show’s purpose was to depict the incompetence of the police involved as they mishandled the most valuable evidence they’d ever work, in conjunction with the sensitivity of African/American targeting at that particular time - as clearly shown in the scene of Johnny C getting pulled over with his kids in the car - as opposed to OJ being ‘innocent’. maybe the director exhibited the flaws of the justice system. it’s a sad culmination regardless, for ron and nicole who spent their final moments in horror.

    The black community supported oj yet oj did not care about the black community. He ran straight to a 20 year old blonde and a white golf course. Oj says himself he doesn't care about any race issues. Jury profiler said get black female women who didn't graduate high school and find oj attractive. The manipulation that goes on in trials is unbelievable. If you have money you can hire all kinds of people. Winning isn't the same thing as seeking truth and justice. Every single one of ojs lawyers knew he was guilty. They aren't stupid. Robert Kardashian even said they all thought he was guilty. He cut oj out of his life after the trial. Kardashian said scheck saw all the DNA evidence goes right to oj. He had to go to that edta presertive that no-one understood. Its usually always found in our bodies. The blood stuff was all complicated. They did studies about it. Biology students couldn't quite understand it. They changed how to present DNA evidence to a jury because of this trial.

    It's very ironic white people are implying that racial bias played a role in the criminal justice system 😂😂. The same people complaining about the verdict are the same ones who always say"it has nothing to do with race!"😂😂😂😂

      EXACTLY 💯%. The same system that was set up to benefit them. Just so happened benefited a black man this time. That's why so many people hate OJ Simpson, and his defense lawyers. Especially Johnnie Cochran.

      @@nikivory6891 Nooo... your second paragraph is speaking in absolutes. Some people who don't agree with the verdict DO believe that sometimes race has something to do with it. Your blanket statement is false.

      @@renorailfanning5465 I wrote two sentences so I'm not sure where you read a second paragraph. The only reason this verdict is talked about so much is because white people didn't like the outcome. The fact that you want to ASSUME that I mean ALL white people without me ever saying that doesn't make what I said incorrect so play dumb with someone else. The prosecution couldn't prove he was guilty so blaming the jury is ridiculous.

    Cuba is worst person to pick to play OJ. He looks NOTHING like him. Courtney B. Vance was great for Cochran, the others were okay. They shoulda picked Boris Kudjow, or however u spell his name. Much better look alike and he can act
