Great to hear this. I last used Abu Dhabi a few weeks before lock down. Always thought it was a bit small and crowded. DBX has always been fantastic, Hamad is good, but poor catering options.

I got the notification that my flight back from UK is going to be arriving on this terminal in about a fortnight. Looking forward to seeing it.

Looking forward to using the new terminal on my way back to Uk in a fortnight time. I understand that the new Etihad business class lounge will be massively bigger in space which is just as well as I was disappointed with the lounge experience of the original terminal. Really crowded and busy and in my opinion not worth the premium cost I paid for an “exclusive experience”.
Yes definitely they’ll upgrade it. The current one is big but at peak hours every seat might be taken. Enjoy your trip!

Last week the airport lounge staff informed me that terminals 1,2,3 would be completely closed by the end of November
I’ve just read in my email from Etihad, my connecting flight from Abu Dhabi to London is operating from the new terminal in about a weeks time. Can’t wait!
Weirdly my arriving flight from Bangkok flies into the old terminal and I have to get a bus to the new terminal.
Different airlines are transferring to the new terminal over a 2 week period

Does the Etihad cabin crew still use the old crew reporting center or is there new crew reporting center in new Terminal A? If its the old center drive from the center to the aircraft must be very long?
The terminal is very futuristic in the movie, to the extent that you wonder if it's real.

Hey Alex! I am from India I will be 21 in December and I want to be a cabin crew in Etihad Airline but I don’t have experience . But I saw on the airline website that you just need to be 21. So when should I apply as I will be graduating next year around may june. Hope you see this message and reply🙏🏻
There’s always a slim chance, but I agree. You need some kind of customer service job experience before applying..just to increase your chances. And those jobs are easy to get. Good luck

Unfortunately it is massive but very badly planned.
Probably some rich sheik just wanted to show off how much money they have, but did nt take into account the passengers they are meant for
It forces you to walk literally for miles for anything, especially those close connecting flights, which are a trademark for Etihad
Hope they’ll find some shortcuts around that, or put connection flights for closer distance gates

Why didn't the authorities just move all operations from the old terminal to the new terminal all at once as Bangkok did with the move from Don Muang to Suvarnabhumi in 2006? I would think that works be easier and much less confusing for passengers...and crew/ground staff, as well.

Immigration still at terminal 3, up until later in 2024
