- This is my 3rd accommodation in Abu Dhabi, changed it as an upgrade offered in a company survey.
I loved my previous apartment, but it was just a bit small for me, so I decided to move. This one is located near the Grand Mosque, 12 minutes drive from Corniche beach.
It's indeed perfect for all my needs. Hope you find this video useful!

I worked in Japan and the company provided accommodation. It was similar, though a little older. Simple and no frills. Shared with two others and we kept it clean. The thing is, it was functional. It was a base to work from. It wasn't meant to be a permanent home. Just get on with exploring Japan. People who had to have this "attachment" problem, where they complained about their apartment being unhomely, usually didn't last long in Japan. You were there to work, made money, to explore Japan, to made friends. The company apartment was a convenient base to do this.

Thanks for your tour! I enjoyed learning about apartments overseas. Growing up in the USA 🇺🇸, I didn’t realize how having both a washing machine and dryer are not common around the world 🌎.

Thank you Alex for sharing! Love the layout and especially your genius idea of getting a desk of the same height and color and joining it with the other desk to give it the L shape. You can't tell that they are 2 different desks 😀 I also have a Rubik's cube and I too don't have the patience either to solve it lol 😆 Have a collection of perfumes as well, love Acqua Di Gio Profumo! Also curious to know if you ever cook your own food whenever you are back in Abu Dhabi 😋
Yeah tbh I had the desk beforehand and I didn’t know they’d fit together, so it was just by luck 😅 Acqua di Gio is amazing I had a bottle before, I should get back to it. All time best
I do cook, whenever I have off days and time to spare

Good evening Mr. George (or should I write “G’Day Mate!”) Hello from Australia. Just writing to you to allow you to know in English what the device in you kitchen is called. In a restaurant you would called this device an “Extruder” or “Extrusion Fan.” In an home or an apartment such as yours, you would call it an “Extractor Fan.” Or even more simply an “Exhaust Fan.” All of these are correct to use in English-first speaking Countries. 😊

Why did you change the accommodations?
Alex does pilot have same number of flights in roster as much as has Etihad cabin crew roster

Now that they’re expanding, they let us that are older in the company to bid, yes. But generally crew are assigned randomly

I have my own room and bathroom of course, and we just share the flat - livingroom and kitchen

I am a male; worked for American Airlines as a cabin crew/flight attendant for 34 years. We always had the same meals provided for you and your colleagues. We often bring more healthy foods from home. Also, we can purchase food from foreign cities and cook it on the plane. As you may know, the food prepared by the airlines often has too much salt and other ingredients we should eat less. Take care, and I wish you the very best as I enjoy retirement for the past 10 years,
