You are the best at explaining stuff. Thank you. Some people have the talent, but can’t teach so good. You have the talent and can also teach. Thank you.
Melanie, you are too kind. More so than teaching and having whatever skill I possess, my true goal is simply just to inspire people to pick up a brush and get painting ☺ Thanks again so much and I appreciate you.
I am an elderly beginner painter and of all the tutorials I have done, yours are the only ones that each have turned out nicely for me. You are very good at teaching and share exactly what to do and how to do it. I only have acrylic paints and I am not unhappy with the results I get from your oil tutorials.
Aw thank you so much, Sharon. I try to always be aware of not rushing but at the same time keeping these videos no more than an hour lol. That’s the tricky part. I appreciate you, your support and your kind words 😊
This guy is fantastic. He not only teaches us while he paints, He also is very entertaining. I love that about his show. Thank U for . being their Kenny. Great job.
There's a lot of variety in his show. I like the add-in clips. He's very intentive and focused with his interview. I like that he shows other artists their paintings.
Thank you for saying that, Marene. Not only do I love giving other artists a platform, but I feel like it is part of the responsibility to uplift each other as artists and I’m honored to do it in hopes to inspire others and every normal day people to conquer fear and reach their goals. So I appreciate you and your lovely comment. Thank you!
Greg, thanks again and if you ever have any more work to submit that you would like me to promote, just message me again. I’ll try to work and post the next episode as soon as I can. This is the way! 🍻
I really like Kenny’s videos. They are educational, entertaining and very well put together. People talk a lot about algorithm but I think it’s also the person behind it that makes a channel and community. He kindly takes time to comment and show people’s artwork on his channel and have a chat with his fans. Top quality videos as always and really like the editing and memes, very engaging. Even if I wasn’t into painting I’d still enjoy the content. Thanks again! 🍻
I appreciate you, Daz! And for anyone who might see this comment, we’re going to have Daz with us as our guest in two episodes from now so everyone sub and stay tuned. It’s going to be great! 🍻
Mountains made with a pallet knife are so awesome...that is how I make mine...that is my favorite way to paint...Barns, & Cabins, along landscapes, & love the texture....❤️😎
Thank you for saying that, Norman. Really appreciate it. By any chance are you related to Glenn Woodington who submits paintings for me to promote in my videos?
@@Kennysgreasypaint yes I am, actually it's me. Norman is my first name and glenn is my middle name. I go by glenn most times but sometimes Norman sneaks in.
Thank you, Fredrick! I appreciate you and the support for the channel. That’s actually a brush from a brand called ‘Merit pro’ which I bought online. I have to admit I was taking a chance with that one but it works out great in my experience. Unfortunately I am sorry to say I forgot the website which I ordered from. Let me know if you try it out and thanks again 🍻
Well when setting up and laying my paints down, I take my very sweet time with it. Trust me that helps lol. But during clean up I definitely get a spot or two on my hands and fingers but of course you don’t see that part because I already end the video lol. Best thing to do though is wipe the paint off your skin as soon as you notice it and it’ll prevent staining as well.
@@williammead238 Thanks pal, I appreciate you. Also, baby wipes are a very cost effective way of cleaning paint off your palette and work area by the way. Give it a try 👍
what brand of brushes are you using? I have such trouble with trees using a fan brush. It just kinda 'flares' out. I've paid great attention to the orientation of the brush to canvas, how much paint is on the brush, how thin it is in relation to how many layers I'm working on top of... I either suck ass, or my brushes are shit...
Hey, friend thanks so much for your question. The fact that your brushes flare out is most likely the reason why you’re unhappy with your trees and not your technique of actually moving the brush. I would recommend a number 6 fan brush from the brand Simply Simmons or Alexander Art. They’re great brushes that work because they have natural bristle hairs which are ideal for oil paints. Your fan brush most likely might be a synthetic haired brush that’s only meant for acrylic or water colors. Depending on the mediums you paint with, it will matter and one should always use the proper tools in accordance. Also be sure to always clean your brushes, especially a fan brush by wiping the paint off outwards in the direction of the hairs with shop towels. This will extend brush life and prevent the hairs from flaring outwards. I hope this helps and if you try either of the brands I recommended, please let me know and happy painting to you 👍
@@Kennysgreasypaint thanks for a reply, a prompt one at that! I appreciate. I have been using the fan brush that came with my 'Bob Ross master kit' I bought another set of three that said they were natural bristle (hog). @@kp-collectibles Ah well there you go. I could have told you that using anything from the BR brand doesn’t last long at all and that was your problem right there lol. But don’t just take it from my experience, that’s been the case with those products by most people who paint.
@@Kennysgreasypaint well then... I guess I'll buy new brushes. Will let you know how that turns out. I do have a set of other brushes so maybe while I wait, I'll try something other than the fan brush and see what happens. 🤷
