My oven is used for storage also. Have not cooked in it for about 4 years. Thought it was just me. I had to laugh when you showed your oven, mine looks the same. Thanks Doug for all your different demos, keep up the good work!
Love your videos. Just an FYI. I just went to QVC to purchase this and this is a review left on this product: "Bought this item after MULTIPLE presenters, including VENABLE, clearly stated that this item could be used on ANY pot of appropriate width. HOWEVER, the manufacturer strongly/specifically stated to NEVER use it on other types of pots or pans. The manufacturer went so far as to capitalize the word "NEVER". I find this irresponsible on the part of QVC and staff!!!"
This looks like a really neat gadget to have :) Thanks for the review Doug! Being in your gadget group aka addiction group ;) I use my oven AND dishwasher for storage LOL
I was very curious about this when I saw it on QVC. I'll be back tomorrow to see your demonstration. Would love to see if it can do fried chicken. Thank you for the video
I really like the versatility this product provides especially for those who haven’t purchased an air fryer. I’ll consider buying this for when I travel especially to my timeshare. Your not alone, I no longer use my oven for cooking. I use my oven just for storage of pots and pans! Thanks for another great video.
Just ordered this. Never knew there was such a thing. I came across it while searching kitchen clearance items. It was on 5 flex pays so I thought I’d try it. I too am a gadget person & I’m always looking for the newest one!! I have Paula Deans 8 qt air fryer & also her pressure cooker, which I love but they are rather large. The fact that I can use it on my Instant Pot & other pots & pans sealed the deal. I noticed that Wolfgang Puck has one on HSN but nothing was mentioned about other size pans. I watched the QVC presentation & then I thought, I wonder if Cooking with Doug has one & sure enough you did. You are always so informative on all these appliances. Can’t wait to receive it.
I have a Ninja Foodi 8 Quart 9 in 1, I have a Breville Smart Oven that air fries and I have an Instant Pot Mini. Somehow I saw this CE Air Fry Lid on QVC - I hardly ever watch them but just happened on it. I figured, for $50, I’ll buy it. I have it on the 4 month payment plan too. What sold me is what you called the game changer - I can use my regular pans which are actually easier to clean than the units I mentioned above. It’s just me and my husband so I got it. I went to Sam’s and got a beef tenderloin and cut it up freezing most of it. I was thinking I wouldn’t have this in time to cook dinner tonight but low and behold, UPS dropped it off this afternoon. I was excited ! So, I made homemade mashed potatoes, corn and I made a couple of filet mignon steaks for us. I used some of what I finally realized after buying the seasoning from the Amish YEARS ago, is REALLY good steak seasoning ! My husband likes his steak well done and I like mine medium rare. Easy with this thing. I started getting ready to use it and JUST LIKE YOU, I thought I’d received a defective unit. Then I realized I hadn’t pushed it down enough over the safety button. So, not knowing how to use the preset options (I tried to push the buttons themselves. Laugh Out Loud) I thought I’d look it up on UA-cam. Low and behold, there you were with this video ! THANK YOU ! Because you see, by the time I found this video, the steaks were already in the pot with the CD Air Frying doing its thing. I wasn’t sure what temp to use so I put it down to 390 degrees. Then you started going through all the options. By the time I had to flip them, you had shown the “M” button so I used it to put it over to “Steak”. I wanted to cook it for only a couple more minutes at that point but the minimum it would let me go down to time wise was 10 minutes. The other neat thing is I used my really good Caphalon pot which I thought would be great because it absorbs so much heat ! I’ve had that set of cookware since I married my first husband (he passed in 2009. I’m now married to my second husband) in 1990. Ok, moral of the story is,that steak between the seasonings and the air fry lid turned out PERFECTLY ! It was SO GOOD I wanted to grab another steak out of the freezer. Laugh Out Loud ! The REALLY neat thing also was that after I finished the steaks, (I put them on a rack that fits in my Ninja Foodi to air fry them on) I took the steaks out and the rack, put it on the stove (the handles were hot by the way), poured in two cups of water and some beef paste similar to “Better Than Bouillon “ and made an Au jus gravy out of it for my homemade mashed potatoes. Dinner was delicious ! Sorry to go on SO long but this thing is a HIT in my book.. I LOVE IT ! I can use IT and not wear out my more expensive units when not necessary. Thanks for the informative UA-cam video. It was GREAT ! Have fun with yours ! I’m going to have fun with mine - especially after clicking on the link you provided for more recipes with it. Here in the south, it was 70 degrees today. I hope it’s warming up where you are ! Happy air frying !
Tfs, W/Flex pay can't go wrong if something goes with the product from the Q You can refund while on easy pays gives u a chance to try out the priducts
Good information on a new gadget. And the bacon on the mac and cheese looks great and bet it really was good. These lids are nice for those without an air fryer... Thanks. Claudia
This is so cool! I'm going to buy it an take it camping and use it with my iron skillets. I hope it fits because some iron skillets have a lip/curve for pouring things out. What do you think 🤔? Do you have an iron skillet laying around to test it please? 😁 Thanks Doug!
I have adopted your mission as my goal, not to use my oven. Now I will have more space for Ninja and air fryer accessories. Getting ready to order my Ninja XL Pro oven this week.
Doug, mine not an air fryer lid, but mine runs for a minute or so after the timer off as a cool down feature. Maybe your ld has a similar feature. Just a suggestion.

Had to swing back around because I just got one like this off Amazon .. I see you used an actual pan . What size is that pan ? And also I’ve read that this type thing doesn’t work with ceramic non stick pots . I bought it because I plan to use it with my Chef iq . Have u tried it with ceramic ? Question, question , QUESTION

Nice gadget demo! I'd use that with my cast iron skillet. I like your charcoal colored EVO Oil Sprayer too. TFS❣️
I use my oven the same way you do😂 I may have to get this lid for my 20 year old Cooks Essentials pressure cooker. It's still going strong👍

The instant pot group on FB is crazy about the pressure cooker lid!
A very interesting product, thank you for demonstrating it. I bet your mac n bacon was awesome.

Ohhh 😮 I think I may have to have one! Looks like fun! 🤩
What the what! This is a game changer. I know I am getting it now! 😊
Looks good
,M, stands for MANUAL setting options!
Would not recommend stop it like that, the fan keeps going to to cool the heating coils , a safety feature.
Thanks for the tip!!
🤓 wow you really know how to keep up with the latest items Thanks for the info
Can we use this on any kind of skillet or just the copper coloured ones?
Tks for sharing this unboxing with us
Doug, a video tomorrow of fried chicken would be nice.
LETS DO IT!!!💌
@@COOKINGWITHDOUG Yesss!
I recently saw that on QVC
The cord is on permanently? Not a removable cord? Gotta be careful washing then.
