I know this scene was meant to play up how dangerous the Demolisher is supposed to be, but all it really does is make Mumm-Ra look like a chump, losing to a guy with a crossbow and a rope.

Demolisher pretty much lucked his way to a victory in this scene. Otherwise, he cannot beat Mummra.

For those asking about mumm -ra's pathetic mirror weakness. After season 1 that weakness was removed. If you knew anything about liches though, usually they can't stand to look at their own reflection.

I only just finally watched the entire series recently, and I think it was either Thundercats Ho! or Mumm-Ra Lives! where they finally removed that weakness. Truth be told, I was glad they removed it. It was so easy for them to have reflective surfaces on hand to beat him.
Once they tried to use it again after his powers had been restored and he was more powerful than ever, it was pretty much, "Uh-oh, that doesn't work anymore. You better think of another way to beat me now."
I love it when the villains fight eachother and it's an even back and forth for most of the fight.

The Demolisher was rebel without a cause. He fought for the mere pleasure of fighting and winning. He defeated Mumm-Ra by unknowingly exploiting Mumm-Ra's only weakness. Mumm-Ra cannot stand the sight of the evil decayed mummy his reflexion shows.

Mumm-Ra was actually beating the crap out of Demolisher. We saw Mumm-Ra successfully defend himself from the first several attacks of Demolisher. And when we saw Mumm-Ra go on the offensive, it was painfully clear Demolisher had no defense against the attacks of Mumm-Ra. The only reason why Mumm-Ra lost this round was because Mumm-Ra spent too much time laughing at the weak opponent named Demolisher.
now I just want to watch the full episode !
No "good vs evil" at stake. Just Demolisher fighting to challenge himself and others. Mumm-Ra probably found being so openly challenged for a simple fight after millennia refreshing and entertaining (at least until the reflection thing)

Loius Henry at the end of the Thundercat series, the ancient spirits of evil turned on Mumm Ra for failing them by failing to defeat the Thundercats.

Demolished was a forgettable one-shot villain, but I could have seen potential for him. Maybe in a return appearance he could have done redemption arc, embraced the “might FOR right” philosophy.
No way! He literally set up one of the most important lessons Thundercats taught children... use your anger, utilise it for something, "if fighting is all you can do, then fight for a course"

Do you ever notice that Mumm ra the African black guy with the African ankh and everything, that resides in the Egyptian ruins...meanwhile the thundercats are mostly white except for the token black guy Pantera who also serves as the mechanic / janitor🤯,they come from a different country inn invade the land that Mumm-Ra already is on but does not sound familiar????? And then they have the audacity to give the sword to Lionel and he puts it over his third eye and says give me sight beyond sight ❤️🖤💚✊🏿

Why was it some kind of law that 80's cartoon badasses had to have some kind of really annoying or stupid sidekick? Did that really appeal to kids of that age? I was born too late in the 80's to see many of them. I mean even the Demolisher has that armadillo thing.

All that was left was a decreped man who's insanity had killed what ever humanity was left in him. Now devoid of all love the once General Mumrah Ibrahiem is now an eternal servant of evil who can not even look at his own reflection for it reminds him of his greatest failure.....Himself

@@shadowknight7750 Only on a minior weakness Mummra had at the time which was his own reflection, thou later in the show he was able to be rid of that weakness, still Mummra is one of the best cartoon villians of all time, completely evil and the fact he is immortal means he will just keep coming and coming, at least he kept the Thundercats on their toes, or should I say paws?

This was stupid by the writers of this show to put over a character that was only going make an appearance in just one episode to go over the main villain of the entire series like Mum-rha. Mumm-ra was being a bit cocky and when Demolisher got close and showed his reflection by accident, Mumm-ra lost the fight, but then Mumm-ra played into Demolisher's weakness and one of his strengths and put the Demolisher against the Thundercats.

Wow the animation was really sub-par in this episode. And yes know it was the 80's, but even so, this was not as good quality animation as most of the other episodes. I guess the studios were using the "B Team" animators for this one.
