    Hi from Ottawa, Ontario Canada.
    Big fan of your videos. I find them very relevant since I own a 2016 NC.
    You sir are my goto source for my motorcycle maintenance and upgrades.
    Keep them videos coming. Cheers,

    I kept the oxygen line from when I came home from hospital after Covid. That's what I used to drain it. It came in pretty handy a couple times now.

    The first thing to check is to make sure you have either a single brake line (as shown in this video) or a dual brake line on your front caliper, aka DCBS (dual combined brake system). Do not use this method if you have the dual braking system!

    Hi there. Quick question. What would you do if you wanted to remove the whole thing to clean the pistons properly?
    How would you remove the fluid completly? Just continuing squizing until the whole circuit prety much empty?

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  26 днів тому

      There is very little fluid in the system. Topping up the reservoir a couple of times will flush the system.

    The first thing to do is not take the cover off the master cylinder. It would be to make sure the cover is parallel to the floor in all axis. I think you know why ;-)

    Hi. I have a question: your bike has ABS, right? If so, isn't some old brake fluid left in the ABS circuit?

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff

      rationalityfirst - correct. But if you change the fluid regularly this isn't a problem.

    Brilliant videos as usual. Got my NC750X a month ago, I'm 200 pounds, and noticing a lot of nose dive when i brake, shall i increase front suspension stiffness? And how? Thanks

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  7 років тому

      Jassima Nasima - the forks are not adjustable. But you can either buy stiffer springs or take the cheap option of buying these preload adjusters to stiffen of the springs a bit.

    I always struggle to know how much fluid to pump through, guess it's the downside of changing the fluid frequently, the old stuff is the same colour as the new! I did look at getting coloured fluid but it was noticeably more expensive than the regular stuff. What's the contraption on the throttle?
    Liked the rear reservoir tip, thanks for sharing.

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff

    Thanks for the video. I have a big question. When I want to bleed the front brake it keeps getting spongy. So I think about checking the line that goes from the lever to the caliper and I see that the line is not direct to the caliper but to a connector on the chassis. So do you know if it purges in a different way? Or does it bleed along with the rear brake? Or is it just that the line is dirty? Thank you very much and congratulations.

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  2 роки тому +1

      If it’s staying spongy you are letting air into the line when bleeding.
      Pay close attention to the procedure and try again.
      The line connection is not the problem.

    Hi again and thanks for another great vid. I need your help with the breaks: What is the lower front bleeder for? I cannot restore pressure to my brakes... I can see the lower one uses oil from the rear reservoir. Is there a correct sequence for bleeding all of them? Robert

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  6 років тому +1

      Robert Coman - are you talking about a HONDA NC750X? If so there is only one bleeder for the front and that is on the brake calliper.
      If you have lost pressure it sounds like air in the line. Just keep doing as instructed in the video making sure you never let to reservoir run low, till you pump the air out of the line.

    My question would be if you are saying that the brake fluid is literally only 12 months old... Why? That shouldn't need to be done for around 3 years even by most manufacturers advice, I certainly don't think I'd be doing that at one year, unless there are other circumstances which require it.
