Depends on how coordinated and experienced your team is, what you team consists of, what upgrades you get.
I've beaten Nughtmare Mode about 7 or 8 times, and in each one of them we've failed multiple times and we've always had close calls with both the bomb and the tanks.

Jason Dinh Mann up is a fucking nightmare, Metro malice is 100 times worse than nightmare. Wanna try a rocket/ grenade reflecting, stickybomb destroying, 50k hp, infinite shooting, 300% more fire rate heavy? That is on empire escalade, which isnt even as hard as metro mailce...

I love the animation when the robots deploy the bomb.
They turn their backs around so that the bomb is infront of them, then they jump inside the hole as if it was a pool :D
I wanted their whole team to melee the tank so he could see how wrong he was about his perfect strategy.

Clearly this is early MvM, but for those of you curious the proper team and weapons for MvM are:
Scout: Milk, Fan of War
Engineer: Rescue Ranger
Demoman: stock stickies
Medic: Kritzkrieg
Heavy: Brass Beast
Soldier: Beggars Bazooka, Buff Banner or Air Strike, BASE Jumper
And for tanks only the soldier and demoman should focus on it using crit canteens while the rest of the team holds off the other robots
Can be sniper with damage upgraded machina.

i was playing MvM and i was a fully upgraded pyro, and i swear i could just stand where the robots came and absolutley mow them down

we just set up 5 beggars soldiers and one engie, I could say we breezed through it pretty easily

Protip: As an engineer, upgrade your pistol's firing speed and clip size to become a heavy :D
By the way, it's not the taunt that gives it a buff, it's how long one holds the bomb.
If anyone's heard of Team Fortress Arcade, it makes a little bit of sense why only red team is defending. Because in TFA, Blu team is fighting robots.
I think the dots that are being shown from the robots point of view are the glowing eyes.
A scout is also important for catching up to robots.

Protip: Phlostignator Pyros are best against tanks, and Heavies are probably the worst, since the tank has resistance to the minigun. Also, the Heavies should stay close to the Engineer So they can protect him and get healed by his dispenser.
Eh, I dunno about a Kritz-Medic being most important, considering everyone can buy their own crits and there's even an upgrade that lets the Medic share their canteen upgrade with their healing target, so yeah.
Those dots are the eyes of the robots. There's a glitch where after a wave they still float on the map. That's creepy. They make an uber sound.
You forgot about the pyro using the phlog and has an unique role of tank destroying.

so what? The phlog does the most damage against tanks because of the mmmph ability even though it takes a while.
Pyros and heavies are the best for fighting the tank. With crit canteens and increased ammo, you can just stand in front of the tank and let it push you as you burn and shoot it, so you're always where you can fight it.
being a spy with your eternal reward is a owning weapon

fraser you can hold the sentry in your hands untill, the buster starts beeping fast and then run, I use it alot to prevent my dispenser from getting detroyed too
the only time it gets hard on a commiunity soldier is when there's 30-50 soldiers

Actually having 6 phlog pyros is the most effective way of dealing with tanks, just have a good engi with a dispenser. Heavy does nothing because he does -75% damage towards tanks.

Soldier:rockets can damage large groups R:if the team is having trouble destroying big clans your good for it EXTRA: The maxed beggars bazooka with Crits can take down tanks and big robots easily and destroy sentry busters
Pyro: can take down hp and air blast robots from pit or air blast them away if there goin into the pit: no reason:
Demoman:can take down big enemies with pills and end or take down there hp and your teammates can take out the bot. R: if there’s a big enemy and your teammates don’t have good upgrades
Heavy:can take down big crowds of enemies and crits on tank is good, also Natasha is good for slowing down enemies and you help your team mates
Engineer:sentry can take down a lot of enemies :hint: when a sentry buster is about to explode click MOUSE2 and take it away from it
Your jarate is good for slowing down the enemies like the Natasha and explosion headshot is good for taking down crowds and headshots is good for taking down big enemies
Medic: your good for the team cause you can bring back teammates from the dead and you share your canteens with the person your healing
Spy: your maxed sapper is good for stopping big crowds
thats why using a rescue ranger is good for mvm

I have found that widowmaker engis are really good against tanks, u dont have clips if u land a hit u get metal back which is your ammo

Actually it can be useful to just spam crits against a giant robot that's been set on fire. It's not useless, I use it as much as I can in MvM.

In MvM, soldiers and scouts are probably the most annoying in groups. Because in soldier groups, rockets are flying everywhere. And in scout groups(whether they have bats or guns) you're bound to get gangbanged sooner or later.
Mann vs Machine it's so fucking awsome. Team Fortress 2 it's one of the funniest games... You can do many things and play the same character in different ways... It's the best also the hats and cosmetics gives the characters their own personality... It's awsome

There is a program called "Xpadder" for the pc or laptop and you can use pretty much use any form of console controller, you have to pay for it, but im sure if you look around you'll find a free copy.

That is complete bunk. The term has been around long before Microsoft and x86 were relevant. The C64 for example was called a personal computer too, right on the box. Yep just start meleeing the tank, although that might be kinda hard when there's 4 of them and you have super scouts and giant heavy/medics beating your skulls in :/

Six years from this and melee is not the best because you can upgrade your ammo capacity, clip size, and reload speed.
It's in almost every video on the farfromsubtle channel.
