    The crazy thing too is that I still never even found out what it was that was causing my right bud to have this charging issue, but in any case this trick did help it start to charge again thankfully! Whatever the gunk was in there, it wasn't visible, but I'm just glad I didn't have to throw out a Damm hundred dollar earbud lol. 😅

      I believe it’s a small layer of carbon that develops on the end of the pins which in effect blocks the charging circuit. By using the sandpaper you are scraping it off which gets you get back to clean metal again, which makes it work.

    If you don't have sand paper or the sand paper isnt able reach the connectors you can get a cotton swap with some hydrogen peroxide on a tip and scrub it with said cotton swab, dry it off and it works too

      @damonreynolds6775 2 роки тому +5

      @@isaachiz1395 Nothing will 'last'.
      They have to be actively _kept_ clean. That is why unless you have buds to burn like YT reviewers, you can't be rubbing away the tiny contact material, which _will_ destroy them.
      Just today one of my Earfun buds was too quiet. After a bunch of troubleshooting, on a hunch I peeled off the little mesh grill, washed it in soap and hot water, held it up to light and it looked cleaner. Put it back on, boom, loud and clear again.
      Earbuds require a lifestyle change from headphones because they are far more easily affected by natural body oils, sweat, wax, dirt etc on their tiny surfaces, electrical and otherwise.
      I have 3 and keep them in a rotation so hopefully they all last longer, esp batteries.I'm also more attentive to keeping my ears as clean and moisture free as I can without hurting them.

    Just be carful, people, not to push too hard on the buds' own connecting points (not the pins in the charger). I managed to dislodge them and push them down too far into the unit, and now they are not touching the pins anymore and won't charge at all. Cracking open the bud to reposition the metal connectors is not an option (nor is it a good idea).

    Please don't do this. I works for a bit, but it can quickly oxidize If u want to fix them, u can use tooth brush and some alkohol or u can go in to repair shop and they will do it cheap and quick.

      I used anti-static tissue isopropyl alcohol since that's what i use to clean stuff on my pc besides my anti-static brush, i hope it worked

    I did this but with a toothpick just to pick out the earwax buildup, I thought they broke on me because I hadn't used them in 3 months but turns out they only needed cleaning thank goodness
