Very glad this video exists. I've had to explain to so many lower-level Anji players that the primary Fuujin mindgame has been delayed Nagiha vs empty Fuujin since Season 2, not Nagiha vs. Rin. Great production value as always :) Edit: Just walking back a bit after a spaced empty Fuujin to bait a punish is also a great option not mentioned here, especially in the corner where looping f.S/2S > Fuujin with variable timing creates some very oppressive spacing traps.
True, delaying and just waiting and seeing how the opponent plays is very strong. I was thinking of adding this but I thought it might complicate the RPS sequence for those who are just starting to learn. Also pressuring and waiting isn't Anji specific, alot of characters do the same, so new players will probably learn to do this overtime.
Thank you for making this video. As someone who struggles with some executive function, having everything described and neatly put into a cohesive way, is a godsend. May you receive the support you need! Keep up the awesome work.
Wow man, been struggling against Anji since S1, my sparring partner used to main Anji but didn't really work in his RPS so I had a hard time against Celestial Anji players, but now I see the options more clearly! Amazing work on the UI, the informations are cristal clear, you deserve way more views ❤ P. S.: I'd love a similar video about Anji's neutral, it's one of the match-up I'm the less comfortable with. Love, a filthy Johnny main
Honestly way too good of a video for the amount of view’s it’s gotten. I’ve sent this to my friends and I expect my life to become a living nightmare once I fight them later
Honestly I would really appreciate a video on anji thats narrated and with tips and tricks in it the combos are great but talking about what moves to use and when feels great.
The color edit at the end looked fantastic, very smooth and cool. My recommendation as a mixup with charged Fuujin is to use a regular spin now and then against jumping opponents. You get your option of anti-airs afterwards.
Some additional notes - Shin can be anti-aired either in reaction or with mashing with traditional moves that do so a lot of the time, such as some character’s 6P or even a massive c.S, depending on if Anji drifts or the relative pushback of the string up to that point. Additionally, despite drifting back, some reversals (like Sol VV or Bridget Starship) can hit Shin no matter what, usually in the late active frames. - Fuujin -> Rin can also be grabbed.
This is all true, which is why I want to emphasize that there are layers to the RPS and that you can't just go for these options. The opponent would have no reason not to DP or mash or throw on block. (Also HVV isn't frame 1 invuln reversal)
