I Enjoyed a Sci-Fi book series known as the Book of the New sun by Gene Wolfe. That was probably my favourite one last year besides the First Law series by Joe Abercrombie. Currently reading Janny Wurts series from the very beginning starting with book 2 of the cycle of Fire series. If you like fantasy I would recommend Raymond E Feist who was the one that got me truly into Fantasy and inspired me to become a writer. The co written series by him and Janny Wurts is one I thoroughly enjoyed.
