@@Sibor-sk6tj So, in the video the gentleman does it 3 times. But in the written instruction on the website, the new updated version does it 4 times. So first time do 38 and then 248. Then the second time do 56 and 249. And follow down the line of numbers I posted. If you're still confused try the written instructions on the website where you downloaded it.

How much do you charge to mod wiis ?
I’ve modded several Wii’s but I always enjoy watching new methods of doing it so that way for future reference it might be faster and easier to do and that goes for any console or handheld for me
Yup. It's always good to learn new techniques. It's so much easier now. Many thanks to those who did the initial hacks. As I recall, the Wii was hacked with a pair of tweezers.
I agree that the method in the video is faster and probably more efficient, but I honestly prefer the Letterbomb method. It's also the only method I've ever used since I've only done it once before

This is my first Wii, I used the same card I did for the Wii U and I can’t get Wiiflow to work now tho!
Is it still possible to do? I am wondering what the least risky method is at the moment, hopefully explained in layman's terms
I just did this to my Wii. Thank you for the excellent tutorial. Just FYI, they're up to version 11 Beta. I did everything else exactly the same and it worked great. 😁

Just acquired my first ever Wii and after checking out a few videos decided to use this one to jailbreak a console for the first time ever... and it worked! Amazing content man thank you so much!
The link for d2xios installer link will now be the updated V11 beta 1. It will have different instructions for what base and slots to use. As far as I can tell; the new version 11 has 4 base/slot steps, where as the V10 beta 52 had 3 steps in this video. I was initially quite confused when I couldn't find the option for Beta 52. I hope this helps someone who runs into the same thing. Thanks.

It took me a while because I wanted to make sure I didn't break my Wii but this was an AWESOME tutorial! The only thing I found was that the install codes for Beta v10 were incorrect as it seems there's been an update on the Wii guide site. I don't even remember what step that was but I just changed the info 4+ times with what the website referenced with the same directions and it worked! Thanks!!

FYI, you can use any size SD card. The reason Nintendo stated 32gb was the limit is because Windows or Mac OS won’t convert anything higher than 32gb to fat32 without separate software (Nintendo figured it was too much trouble to explain to “non tech” users) . I myself use a 512gb SDXC card (and a 1-2tb hard drive) when modding a Wii. From time to time I’ll also create a virtual nand on the SD card depending on the amount of Wii shop games and channels the customer wants me to install. Between Wii disc game saves, DLC, Wii shop games and channels, the measly 512mb of internal storage (in which all that data needs to be installed to in order for the Wii to run) will run out quickly.

Im stuck on the screen after the blue pony screen. It says scanning for sd card (not present) and it says attempting to load boot.elf. Am I supposted to have my sd card in my wii?

I've done all the steps up until trying to upload files to THE SD card, for some reason when I try to upload the files to the SD it says failed.
Blaine, thanks for your step by step guide. I've followed your steps and am stuck in the page where you say to press 1 on wii-remote. There is no activity after I press 1. What's the reason? My wii version is 3.2U
It looks like it should be fine but just to make sure, do you need to use a PC for this mod or can you use a Mac to set up your SD card?
Note: if you dont have gc ports, you cant restore nand backups with bootmii as it requires u to input the konami code with a gc controller, and if u cant u cant do it. u dont have to enter it if ur wii has bootmii boot2 though, which all non gc compatible wiis cant install.
Uhm I don't think that's how it works... You can navigate through BootMii without a GC pad...
the wii family edition came out in 2012, with no gamecube controller ports
boot1 was patched in near 2008, so no family edition wiis will be able to have bootmii as boot2

I cant get passed the BootMii step. I try to prepare an SD card (ive tried 3 different types) and it says that no SD card was read or could not install bootmii... what SD card specifically do I need?

my select cios revision number is one higher than yours. it is 21011 and yours is 21010 at the 12:12 section of the video. I don't have the same numbers as you, what should I do??
I’m not sure if it’s to late to ask, but I have bought a jailbroken nintendo wii which has the 4.2e version on it, the region is corect since it’s made in Europe. The guy I bought it from gave me the SD card on which the jailbreak was made, but something went wrong and the homebrew channel it’s upside down and it seems like the usb loader does work since it doesn’t open up with the corect UI, but with some lines of code I don’t understand and at the bottom the message “Loading in 5 seconds”. So anyway since I can’t find any way to fix this issue, I was wondering if it is there some way to unjailbreak my console without the bootmii NAND backup. Just to be clear, the console was jailbroken without Priiloader (I checked by pressing and holding RESET and powering up the console) and the SD card is an old 512mb and I can’t open it since I don’t have an adaptor (bootmii is not installed either). And if it is possible, how do I do it and is it safe to update through internet?

why doesn't it show priiloader on the homebrew channel when i open it?
Need some help from somebody please...USB Loader recognises my FAT32 USB drive, but when I try to install a disc it goes through the process, percentage loading bar and all, but upon completion (get the little jingle to say it’s done) it hasn’t transferred the game to the USB. The GB space showing at the bottom hasn’t changed etc. Weirdly it lets me get cover art for the game but the game isn’t there. When I click on the game I get a black screen where the game title should be above start etc. Any help would be massively appreciated.
I'm a little confused by the need to update to the latest ofw but then block updates. Is that simply incase Nintendo ever put out a new update or is there someway to update the Wii to a point where it can't be softmodded. Sorry if this is a dumb question I haven't touched a Wii in years.

I noticed that you did not updated the wii during the moding. Question 1 - What about if i decid to play a game on a cd will it work? Question 2 - What if i decid to play a game on a cd and it requires updating the wii, what is happenning to the wii mode and the wii itself?

So i have homebrew added and had cmios and priloader added and was in the middle of trying to add the homebrew browser (if still working) and usbloader and in my pc the sd card crashed!!! I couldnt get it to recognize anymore so i formatted a different one and added priloader again but nothing else added shows up on the homebrew channel...what do i need to do next? It cannot find bootmii and im not sure how to access it with homebrew still available on the wii. Any help would be appreciated!

If I have 2 jailbreoken Wii's can I put my SD card in the other Wii? Asking because I have 1 that has a 512gd card in it full of games and the other one in the other room only has an old 4gb card, and I would like to move card back and forth..
when i plug my sd card card back into my wii for d2x installer or whatever I don't get anything. Its just Priiloader installer. Did things change or am I messing it up? Could i still instal games onto the sd card without it?

Hi. I updated my Wii years ago. I have an ancient version of Preloader (yep, before the name changed to Priiloader) and it's on v4.1 system menu.
What's is the best way to update Preloader? Is it safe to simply install Priiloader - will this do the update?
Also, is there a way to update to v4.3 without reversing the previous hack?
I notice that some game need ios58 (mine is on iOS61). Can I just install 58 as in your video?

I do have a question that I hope you will provide me with an answer that I am unable to find. I did the bootmii nand backup with the intent to restore my Wii after I transferred it over to the Wii U. When I try to restore it shows " Checking Boot 2...BootMii not found, too dangerous to continue". Is this because I installed BootMii as iOS instead of Boot 2? I can get to Bootmii from preloader or Homebrew, but this error comes up, so I'm scared to continue with the restore.

I had an eero router that my Wii wasn’t seeing in automatic search, I manually added the connection in the manual option, on security I choose the WPS2 option and entered the SSID and password manually, hope this helps!

After manually entering the DNS settings and navigating to the “User Agreement” I am met with the OEM Wii user agreement and not the blue exploit screen. Any one else experience this and have a solution? I am on the latest Wii 4.3U version.
At 4:00 you are at installing Hackmii, but you don't mention from where. Is it on the SD card? It appears you skipped something.
