- Were the miracles of Jesus mere magic tricks and sleights of hand? In this sermon, R.C. Sproul continues his series in the gospel of Luke, helping us see through skeptics’ arguments and emphasizing the eternal significance of Christ’s feeding the five thousand.
This sermon was preached by R.C. Sproul at Saint Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Fla. Hear more from his series in the gospel of Luke: • The Gospel of Luke: Se...
I can’t believe that I used to not care about blasphemy. The slander against our lord is outrageous, but God bless people like R.C. who have the courage to preach the inerrancy of scripture and the sovereignty of God.
The day I came to Christ, even my worship was exceptionally flawed. It's embarrassing looking at it now in Him. I understand how you feel! May His grace always be with you!
Its great how this miracle is recorded in all four Gospels, and its consistent too.
It's the only miracle recorded in all four gospels.
@@carmensiekierke3579 indeed, asidr from the resurrection. It makes it all the more special.
Thanks for the message! Miss you RC but know I’ll see you again soon!!!
PRAISE GOD,…………AMEN
Amen!. 🙏.
That was brilliant RC
C.S, Lewis said Christ did in an instant what God normally does over time and through "naturaLprocesses" and work of men and women. He would say that God always causes the fish to multiply, its just usually in the sea and then men God caused to be born have to catch them. Making the bread requires many steps we dont even think about in this modern age of store boat bread, all of which are dependent on God' acting in and through his creation.
C.S. Lewis went from not believing in the existence of God.....to believing God exists. That is not the biblical definition of saving faith. If you look at what C.S. Lewis believed he was headed in the direction of the Roman Catholic Church. Jesus' feeding of the 5,000 is the ONLY miracle recorded in all four gospels. A miracle is NOT a variety of " natural process."
"The Feeding of the Five Thousand (Luke 9:10-17)"
Kind belated Sir...your title espouses that one of THE most heavenly miracle of miracles.. Because...
...Jesus was trying to tell His disciples and those multitude of 5,000: "NEVER beg for any thing. Rather come to me and NO one else. But give. NEVER EVER beg"!. For Jesus' power can make nothing into the world, etc. And He proved that in Creating our universe; and all that's in it. Praise His Holy Name!
End of Story and I rest me case...
...In any case belated kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!.
Pat......Jesus is not three manifestations. Your " Jesus" is not the Jesus of Scripture. Pat......Jesus' feeding of the 5,000 happened during the Passover feast. One greater than Moses had come. It had nothing to do with " never beg."
Pat, where in the Bible does it say we shouldn't beg? Also, what should we do instead?
I wanted to learn about the feeding of the five thousand, but then this guy started ranting against churches and modern belief. Not very educational at all, mostly biased.
