I’ve no idea why I feel the need to say this to you a year late, but here you go. Virginia I’m sure we all know what you meant. But Hen is correct in giving you a mild rebuking. We serve a Sovereign who is indeed sovereign and I’m sure you know that. Changing our vocabulary is a part of sanctification. I’m sure Hen would be most gracious to accept your apology.

Yes it is, but it’s more painful to know what happens to unrepentant sinners who reject the crucified, risen, exulted son of God. Jesus Christ the righteous, and because of their unbelief will spend eternity in the abode of the dammed.

7. Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead; 8. And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again. 9. And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
To the late Pastor...your Title and preaching was: about "Herod Antipas" the Tetrarch...who was on a horrible "Guilt-Trip"...
...Because He had "John the Baptist" Be-headed! But more importantly: is the fact that Herod did NOT want to do that, at ALL! For it was "Herodias" (Herod's wife) that was the "root" criminal. Not to mention her seductive "rascal" daughter "Salome"! Where both women: hated John the Baptist, and further: have him killed; because of John's espousing the truth's! And Herod KNEW that John had broken NO Roman laws.
I said all the above to say this...The SAME thing happened later; when a "Mad-Mob" of Jews: forced Herod and Pilate to crucify Jesus. And neither one of them; wanted to do that. For they both saw NO Roman crimes in Jesus.
And why Adam (we don't know for sure; as) I believe he probably said "NO!" to Eve; to disobey God in his only one Commandment. But Eve's "seduction" was so powerful (driven by satan); Adam gave in.
Not to mention "Samson", King "David" and King "Solomon'; with the same problem in 3 women' "Delilah", "Bathsheba" and the "Queen of Sheba"; with their sensual and "seductional" power, promulgated by satan.
My point is: It was NOT Herod and ETC! Rather: the root cause of it all; was a woman's innate power to bring ANY man down. And why God punished her (and for every woman since); far worse than he punished Adam (and all men...to this day)
So the belated and kind Pastor: missed the chance to preach the "ROOT" cause of most crimes and/or sins. From Creation; until the END of the world. And why God's said this in...
Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Of course, the Pastor would NEVER preach that (nor would 99% other pastors); because they would be "tarred and feathered"; by most of the women in the church; and most of the men; would do the same; fearing their wives. Sad, but OH so true.

Pat Dee......Instead of going to Adam directly, Satan went to the greatest gift God had given to Adam. Satan appealed to Eve to use her senses.....instead of the Word of God. And Adam stood right by her side....doing nothing. Adam was supposed to guard the Garden. It was Adam's job to kick Satan out of the Garden. Adam failed. So, here you are commenting that all women have " an innate power to bring ANY man down." Pat, you are biblically illiterate. Your " Jesus" is not the Jesus of Scripture. Jesus is not three manifestations. All bibles are not filled with Satanic lies. Repent before you die.

John 3:16 KJV: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Heaven is not a place for “good” people. Heaven is for whosoever believes in Jesus.
This goes to show you that it doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done, the Power and Glory of God’s grace is sufficient to save anyone. And once you’re saved you’re always saved.
Ephesians 4:30
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Just believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and you’re saved. No attending church, no getting religious, no pretending to be holier than thou. The Bible is clear. Just believe to be saved.
Doing ANY kind of works to be saved is a slap in the face of God. You’re telling him that His free gift of salvation, Jesus dying on that cross, was not sufficient to save you.
Acts 16:31
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
John 6:47, KJV: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me hath everlasting life.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

No one can or will believe in Christ unless he or she is regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Where they receive the gift of faith to believe. Anyone can say they believe in Jesus but aren’t saved, the devils believed, muslims believe, Hindus believe. But they aren’t saved. The reason being they apart for the devils don’t believe Jesus is the son of God. They don’t believe in Christ deity. Just as the Jehovah witness also don’t believe.

See that? It says WHOSOEVER believes. Not what the Tulip says. The tulip is the most evil flower in the world.
You weren’t chosen to be saved, unfortunately for you. God gave every person a free will to choose Jesus as their savior or deny Him.
That’s why Jesus gave the commandment to go and spread the Gospel to all of the world. You think Jesus would say that if a small group of people were chosen to be saved while the majority aren’t.
You’re steeped in false teachings. Listen to a few of pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold’s sermons to get out of your false teachings.
You really shouldn't claim to definitively know the eternal state of another person's soul. That is not something we have access to.
