    It is so nice to hear from new converts to remind us old converts of why we joined the church and to remind us of how blessed/lucky we are to have the church in our lives.

    As a Temple worker, I can tell you that the church is true! It's the pride that keeps people from the gospel, and truly knowing their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!
    A life without God is a life, without love 💜 hope and faith! 🙏🏻 It's really sad, that people live there lives without GOD! 🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🙏🏻Stay close to the Lord,these are the last days!

      @S Benjamin I have been to many churches all over Europe and other countries.
      If you have evidence of everything, then you don't need Faith! God wants us to have faith in him! Having faith in God, shows him we're obedient to him!
      It's all about perspective, and how we see things. For me the church has everything I need in a church, for it to be true.
      In the Bible it talks about prophet's and apostles, we have both❗In the Bible it talks about us needing to have faith ❗
      Adam and Eve are the parents of the world! Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer of the world ❗ Jesus Christ is Heavenly Father's first son , chosen to die on the cross for our sins that we can repent, and live with God again. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ ,at the beginning of every prayer and at the end of every prayer! We have baptism be emersion, fully under water 💧 as the Bible suggests too! We have the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, thanks to God choosing to have Joseph Smith translate to Book of Mormon, it's a book about ancient history and how Jesus Christ came to America and taught the gospel to the people here in America. And we have beautiful Temples, with God's sacred ordenances, and we wear garments, that have meaning , that there a reminder of the commitments we chose to make to God.
      We also have eternal marriage, so families can be together forever ♾️. And in the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus Christ is praying to his Heavenly Father! Prayer is the only way you, for you to know if it's true!

      Did you know that the temple endowment use to have “blood oath?” It still does in a way but a modified version of it to remove the motion of slitting your throat and your gut. “…it required the participant to swear never to reveal certain key symbols of the endowment ceremony, including the penalty itself, while symbolically enacting ways in which a person may be executed.” -Wikipedia
      Joseph got the ceremony from the Masons. They do the very similar stuff, Symbols and signs.

      @S Benjamin The creator of the world 🌍 and universe, has more knowledge than humans do! Because it says in the scriptures, not to lean unto you're own understanding!
      And that's what many people choose to do , because it fits where their at in life at the moment. Not many people want to be judged for the sins they have committed it's something people are uncomfortable with! So it's easy for them to discredit God, and say he doesn't exist! Even though they live on a planet in the middle of a Universe, that has given them everything to survive! In the end the entire world will know that God and Jesus Christ are real!

      @S Benjamin I understand that everyone is different, and we all learn in different ways ❗
      I grew up around my Grandmother ,and she would take me to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, every once in awhile.My Mom married outside the church, and ended up, divorced before I was 15 months old.
      But my Grandfather's family had a history in the church, from the very beginning of the church! I had family members in the Mormon battalion, and one of the first Bishops in Utah was from my family. The Mormon
      Battalion even came to San Bernardino, and helped settle that area.
      Having a curious nature at 5 year's old I was playing in the chapel up on the stand, and I stood in the sun shining 🌟 down on me, I felt like someone was giving me the best hug ever, I felt loved and that was it for me, the spirit of God let me know I was where I needed to be!
      But I had to continue to grow my testimony, I prayed and studied the gospel, I asked God if the gospel was true, and I got my answer, I could not deny what I felt❗🙏🏻💟I love God, I'm thankful for the way he loves each one of us! I work in the Temple and I have a Temple marriage, it's been my greatest happiness, in this life ❗ When the world 🌎 and all it's evil CHOAS becomes to much ,I feel God's love and peace there!
      Try walking Temple ground's, and say a prayer, if you're questioning thing's it's because you want to know ? I wish I could give everyone a Testimony of the gospel, for Christmas, but it doesn't work that way. Just like my family in the church long ago, they had a testimony, but I had to have my own! I thank God everyday for the gospel and his love, it has been an amazing journey, one I could never forget!

    I converted to the church last year, but did talk with missionaries years ago back in 2013 and how I first learned about the LDS church was the Jodi Arias case sadly who murdered Travis Alexander who was Mormon, raised. Y his grandmother whom was a member of the church, but when I was meeting with missionaries all those years ago I didn’t feel like it was where God was calling me at that time and then from 2020-2021 I met with missionaries again and converted last year.

I said " Lord, I don't want to deal with the the hypocrites in church along with them in everyday life." The Lord said "That is their problem, yours is you are not ln church". He didn't say which church. I came out of the Baptist church so I went back to the Baptist church. I fully believe if he wanted me some where else He would have said so at that time.

    Can you guys talk about the difference between the influence of the Holy Ghost and the gift of the Holy ghost? Due to certain circumstances I am not able to get baptized, but I really want to be more in tune with the spirit. Am I able to get promptings without receiving the gift? How can I discern between the spirit and my own thoughts? Thanks!! :)

    • @jennifereichelberger1448
      @jennifereichelberger1448 2 роки тому +3

      Hi Bryleigh, what a good question. You can absolutely receive promptings from the Holy Ghost, no matter what religion or not you are a part of. It's like what Quinn says, pay attention to those feelings of peace that come from God. Pray and ask God to impart those feelings to you. God only gives good gifts, so if you ask, you will receive. If you knock it will be opened to you.

    • @phadrus
      @phadrus 2 роки тому +3

      That little voice in your head that you can control, for example imagine in your head answering a question to yourself or seeing an image-you can do that-it’s a sense. Now, when you pray to your Heavenly Father give the spirit permission to use that voice you’re used to-to take control of it and speak to you through it. Just like if he were to show you something with your eyes, or hear something, or have a dream. It’s a sense. When you ask Heavenly Father a question and hear that voice reply to you-don’t think, “oh that’s just my voice, the one I’m used to hearing” and dismiss it because you’ll be dismissing his response. He uses your voice your language things you personally understand-it’s a partnership. When starting out find a place to pray that feels peaceful or spiritual to you-an empty chapel, or the woods. And always address God as “Heavenly Father”. Then practice and test this and you’ll begin to get the hang of it and the spirit will move you. As you have conversations with your father he’ll give you advice and you’ll see blessings and miracles as you step in faith.

    • @stardustgirl2904
      @stardustgirl2904 2 роки тому

      Maybe it would be a good idea,to ask God, in prayer 🙏🏻 to help you recognize how he speaks to you!
      He's your Heavenly Father, and you are so precious to him, and he loves you,so very much! Continue to talk to him about your life , and what's going on in it. He will be listening to you, and he will always be there! Have faith in his timing to help you, he always knows when things are right,for us. Maybe keep a journal, about your thoughts on the Savior Jesus Christ and his influence in you're life.
      🌸🙏🏻🌸I will pray about something, for awhile. And when I least expect it, and I'm not thinking of anything at all, that's usually when the answer to my prayer will come, with a strong feeling of the spirit. But that's just how it happens for me. I think God knows best on how to let us know what he wants to tell us. Reading the book of Mormon a little everyday also helps, to have the spirit with you! 🌸🌷🌸🙏🏻💜💟💜🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸

    A pacifist Quaker farmer was milking his cow and it kept switching him in the face with her tail. Then it kicked over the pail. Then it stepped on his foot. Finally when he was almost finished she stepped right in the bucket of milk, infuriating the poor man, and he tells the cow, "I cannot strike thee and I cannot curse thee. Was wondering if there was any "hump" you had to get over when it comes to LDS theology teaching that ordinances are necessary for salvation/exaltation? Feelings are not an objective measure of truth. Feelings are objectively subjective. Feeling feelings in religion is extremely common, countless people experience feelings in their religion and think they’re religion is true because of it but they’re not all right. You have to investigate and do some digging before joining a religion, it’s unwise to join a church just because you had a feeling. The reason the Mormons emphasize feelings is because they know that there’s no real reason to believe in their religion. The LDS church crumbles faster than a house of cards upon the slightest bit of investigation.

    • @JesseBardsley

      Antagonists describe these types of testimony experiences as "feelings." What the young woman on this video described was a process -- it involved experiencing a difficult circumstance, praying to God for guidance, and then sincerely trying to follow that guidance (which involved some intuitions/feelings). Study can be a part of it, and to some extent, probably was. But the real gem, the real heart of the matter, is to have an experience with the divine. "And this is life eternal, that they might KNOW thee, the only true God..." Those who seek out this experience, in all humility, will find it -- and in all its serendipity, coincidence, mind-expanding realizations, and yes, feelings, it is much more than just an emotion. It is the entire point of religion. So rag on it if you want, but those who have found the gem no longer need to comb through dusty libraries of scrolls to look for a map leading to the treasure. Of course, though, the process of learning continues, and we have never truly "arrived," but in the end, it is the presence of God in our lives that we are after -- not an academic treatise.

      Jesus did say that the Holy Ghost will lead you into all truth. He never said a single solitary thing about "the Bible" as a book. He clearly believed in the old testament, as he quoted it frequently. But as for the Bible in it's current form with all the new testament letters, it's never mentioned as the ultimate arbiter of truth. He prophesied about many things that would come in the future, but for some reason he never seems to mention a book that would be the end-all.

      But you do realize that the Catholic Church burned and killed people at the stake for reading the Bible.
      You also have to take into consideration that people who tried to translate the Bible from Latin into English and other languages were hunted by the Catholic Church, we’re marked as heretics and we’re then burned at the stake.
      The King James Bible came forth in the 1600s under the rule of king James of England and most of its translation relied heavily by the translation of William tindel who the Catholic Church killed for making that translation.
      The Catholic Church is by far more corrupt and was proven corrupt by Martin Luther, William Tindel, John Calvin and many others that I can name.
      If the Catholic Church was the true church, then why did the Catholic Church burn and kill people for reading the Bible during the dark ages.?

    To say "You Asked GOD What Church To Join" leads me to believe you do not understand what a "Church" really is . . . You are confusing the "Building" with "The Church" they are two completely different things.

      I didn’t get that confusion at all myself. You are entitled to your opinion of course. In any case, sometimes when people say church they mean a building and sometimes they mean something more like a denomination.

      You know she didn’t join a “building” right? That’s just a silly thing to say. The church is Jesus’ organization on this earth. You don’t seem to understand that church can mean both a building and Jesus’ organization.

      @@jetcitysinatra7300 hey I’m assuming you’re missing a point a bit, And not just trolling. personally I agree by church we are not talking about a physical location however we are talking about a organization God works through organization. And God’s church is organized. It has structure. Everything God and of course Jesus, does has structure and is organized. It has order. In the context of this video that’s what we mean by “church“. Of course as Christians we belong to God‘s church, and we can be the embodiment of his church through our membership or belonging, or whatever you wanna call it, but his organization exists whether we like it or not. Hopefully, if you’re not just looking for an argument, this will help you understand what the video means. Have a great day!
