That's amazing. It's really cool to see what you can find on all these random jeep trails, so much mining history out there! Sometime in the next couple years I plan on buying either a jeep or a 4x4 truck so I can ride along all those roads. They are truly special!
Acclimate to altitude first so you get altitude sickness. Plan at least a week gradually going higher. At the top of Imogene is 13,000 feet high plus! Most Colorado and are used to high elevation but we can get sick. So be careful enjoy
Thanks for sharing. A bunch of friend and myself did a trip from Duluth MN to Breckinridge and we hit a bunch. Of passes with a stock1994 Nissa Pathfinder. I was amazed what that thing was able to conquer. I have a Rivian R1S LE on order and I plan to replicate that trip as soon as I get it.
You'd probably still see some snow at the top of the pass, I myself would assume that the snow towards the bottom would be very limited if not all melted, although one time I went to CO in June and Silverton still had a bunch of snow.
Gonna be out that way the second week of August. You lower your tire pressure at all? I'm taking my F250 which will be a little stiffer ride wise lol. Luckily running Fox racing resis which helps, but will still be smoother running lower tire pressures than what I run on the street.
@@trailthrillsoffroad1355 Cool thanks. Not sure what I plan on running yet. My F250 is diesel and rather heavy lol. In the dunes I usually run 15 in the fronts and 12 in the rears. Rock crawling we usually run even lower, not with my F250 though of course.
Awesome. We have to have the jeep back by 5 so want to maximize our time with it, and those 2 passes being so close to each other I figured we should be able to enjoy both and still be back in time
Do you see many ATVs on the trails? I know the industry went to jeeps and side by sides, but we are planning a trip with two ATVs and never see many videos of other ATV riders exploring the trails.

been there, done that in a Toyota FJ Cruiser.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Definitely make me want to do a road trip from SC. Beautiful view!

Sounds like a blast!
Great video! Looks like a perfect day! We’re heading there in a couple weeks!
Thanks, the trails should be in great shape!
Heck yea! It’s been 8 years since I’ve wheeled there and I’m so pumped
I see you have Illinois plates on the lead Jeep. Where in Illinois are you from?
We just traveled imogene the other day! It was in great condition and it is aleays one of my favorite trails in the area! Anyways great video!
That's awesome!! For our first time expirienace it was breathtaking (literally, it is hard to breath lol!).
When did y'all do the trail - what month? We're going in late June. I would assume we could still see snow.

@@DRGWRailfan Haha! Last year, I believe, we had a June snowstorm here, which is unusual in the flatlands.
@@beepbeepneeeerrrrrm Wow lol. I actually was on vacation in CO last year and it started snowing in September! We got tons of snow!

Yes, we typically run about 15 psi on the trails.

Running this area tomorrow. Can both passes be done in 1 day? Planning on starting at 7am
Yes, if you are starting at 7am, you will for surely be able to finish both passes.

@@kieltompkins7825 Ya, they are both great trails.
Did you run it in 4HI or 4LO, heading there in 2wks?
4Lo the whole time.

We did see a couple of ATV riders, so you should be good.
Imogene is pronounced I- mo- gene not im o gene.
Wow thanks for letting is know!
It's pronounced "eye-mah-gene".
Scenery was beautiful - but the music ruined the video. Let’s hear the Jeeps !
