    Nice to see when Kershaw uses bearing action over assisted.

      NewCastleNinja totally agree. I hate assisted knives. This looks like a winner

      I wish I could thumb this comment up more than once. Kershaw has many assisted knives I'm interested in but I can't bring myself to buy one. I'd love to see some of the assisted models have a manual variant. Especially on knives like the Link and Dividend.

    My ZT 0460 and 0462 are expensive enough that they make me worry when I have them out. This knife fits the bill in looks and price, so I have no problem carrying it. It is a great little knife.

    Thanks Stassa.
    A lot to like, with this one. A very good looking knife.
    You're right. A bare spot, should have been left under that clip's pinch-point.
    One thing that strikes me, is how close that pivot pin is to the edge of the scales. Wow, when was the last time we saw one that close?

    • @Stassa23
      @Stassa23  4 роки тому +1

      Steve Kluver yeah it’s definitely as close as you can get it. You would think when they did the counterbore for it that it would crack the edge. The only reason it shouldn’t be a problem is that the actual threader part is probably half the size of the head

    I just did a mail call unboxing video where I got the Tumbler. My first impression is that the Tumbler is an amazing knife for the price. I just love how light weight it is.

    I have the Atmos so I am probably going to get this one too. My flipper on the Atmos was stiff at 1st but 3rd week in so far and I learned how to flip it with my index fingernail so it rockets out and also if you watch Blade HQ video where they are showing Kershaw selections and dude w/ the glasses pulls out the Atmos and also said what everyone else thinks, That Kershaw should ditch the A/O knives LOL! But he flips the Atmos weird and when I thought about it he pulled the flipper tab and not flicked it. I started doing it that way and wow! He finnesed the stiff tab alright but now the tab is smooths afyet 1000 flips LOL... Love the Review as usual Stassa23

    Nice review...I’m not a big Kershaw fan but I do like the looks of this one, and the price is right in there. Also like the smaller flipper tab as it will allow more of the blades belly to lay flat on the board. Good job buddy.

    I got this knife in like a week or 2 ago and I’m really liking it! I wish some of the edges were rounded off and it had a sharpening Choil. Like u said easy fixes but for $67.95 I feel like they could have done it. But overall I really like it. It’s my favorite model kershaw has put out this year.

    i always hear people talk about the steel, but it dont matter to me as you have to ask yourself,am i really going to use this knife in a way that it matters?? my answer is no on all cases. so i havent seen a steel not get sharp enough to cut so 8cr13mov is fine aus8 is fine d2 is great 440c is great. most people who complain the loudest never even use there knives in a manner whereit will matter. even if i have to hit my knives on a stone 2,3 times a week is no big deal. hell if i need a few swipes every night i still good

    I really like the Sinkevich designed knives but once again Kershaw cuts any corner available to make a few bones without regard to the consumer.
    Thanks for showing this model, the honest review and the design flaws.

    Like any Sinkiweicv design, d2 is good but cant understand why they wouldn't use 14cn28. I thought kershaw helped develop it. Thanks Harry

    • @Stassa23
      @Stassa23  4 роки тому

      Harry Wright id like to see that as well especially since they use it in a lot of the US produced knives

  • @AGC828
    @AGC828 Рік тому

    Had t they made this knife in the US they would have ...would be...selling more than they probably are. though , many "enthusiasts" are buying knives from China anyway...willing to pay WE pricing, Reate pricing...buying Civivi knives so....if you aren't biased....this isn't a bad deal...even for D2 steel knife. Which reallly IS fine for what "enthusiasts" use their knives for anyway...easier to sharpen then the "super steel" knives...

  • @mt_baldwin

    I already ordered one. It's got a lot of things I like about it, the clip is my favorite type, the blade size to weight, that it's a sinkevich and that it's in D2 instead of 8cr13 and not assisted. Yes I dislike 8cr13 so much that I'm willing to pay the extra money, probably wouldn't have got it in 8cr13 at $35-$40, I just do not have good luck with it.

    • @Stassa23
      @Stassa23  4 роки тому

      Mt. Baldwin i don’t mind paying more for it either rather than get 8cr 👌🏻

  • @ryansgr8
    @ryansgr8 4 роки тому +1

    Good for an overseas Kershaw. Those proud screws under the pocket clip and the low clearance are frustrating decisions and are why I would pass. Tired of pocket chewers. When are manufacturers going to start paying more attention to the clip area? Too many years of rough G10 and exposed screws...

    • @Stassa23

      West Coast Life788 I’m guessing your talking about the Bestech Texel in jade g10. It’s much more comfortable to grip compared to the Kershaw Tumbler because they don’t have any sharp edges. Hope that helps I wasn’t sure if that’s what you were asking
