    Still one of my favorite jams on youtube..get stoned, blast this and just hang...it is so god damn good, and the talent it takes for two people to produce this level of intricacy and style is unmatched

    You two are special... thank you for those magic moments.
    I really appreciate that you do your best to not over-do-it. It's clear that you both have serious skills on your instruments, but you know how to dose just right.
    Simple, effective, natural, and from the heart. Very inspiring.
    Powerful connection between you two there..
    I can't say enough how appreciate this, reminds me all the people I connected and played with while traveling.
    Good job!!!

    Super interesting routing on that guitar. Would love to get more in debth of how this is done! FX-chain and even preamp. It doesnt sound to me like an amp is micced. The stereo delay is really good as well. Interesting

    • @petter9078
      @petter9078 8 років тому

      Wait, is 2 amps micced, which makes it stereo? Or am i crazy

      the lehle p split, splits 1 signal into 2 amps, and makes it stereo ors omething. Lord, why didnt I know this before.

    Hi! Thanks for the video, it's amazing what you two guys are doing together! It's been a long time you haven't done any guitar looping video on your own, hope you're not abandonning it. These vids are fabulous and in fact really instructive for effects beginners. By the way, I had a question about your Lehle P-Split. Why are you using it? Don't you have stereo output on your Nova Delay? I don't understand how you use the P-split. Thanks in advance for your answer!

    Hey can I ask what sounds and patches you used to get the dirty bass sounds on the keys.

    • @Evertzeevalkink
      @Evertzeevalkink  9 років тому +1

      +Tendwayi Bvumburah That's also the Prophet V. It's one of my own patches that features two triangle wave osc's slightly detuned and in unison mode. Also a bit of pitch modulation from the lfo.

    • @tendwayibvumburah2184
      @tendwayibvumburah2184 9 років тому +1

      +Evert Zeevalkink hey can I do this in logic

    • @Evertzeevalkink
      @Evertzeevalkink  9 років тому

      +Tendwayi Bvumburah The synth sound? Probably you can, if Logic provides you with a (preferably analog style) synth.

    • @tendwayibvumburah2184
      @tendwayibvumburah2184 9 років тому

      +Evert Zeevalkink is that pulsing sound from the triangle wave osc cool

    • @Evertzeevalkink
      @Evertzeevalkink  9 років тому

      +Tendwayi Bvumburah No that's sidechain compression. With the sidechain input being a quarter note kick drum. I've your not familiar with this, look it up; it's a common technique in dance productions.

  • @dylandrake6089
    @dylandrake6089 9 років тому

    I've been searching for the synth sound the drummer uses in the beginning for ages, can you share what it is?

    • @Evertzeevalkink
      @Evertzeevalkink  9 років тому +4

      +Dylan Drake Hi Dylan, it's a patch I made with Arturia's Prophet V synth. It's quite simple; just one square wave oscillator and a slow lfo to make the pitch drift a la Boards of Canada. I added quite lot of reverb and delay in my DAW.

  • @JohnHenryDale

    Are you guys using in-ear monitors to hear yourselves ? If not how do you loop the live drum recordings without getting mic bleed?

    • @Evertzeevalkink
      @Evertzeevalkink  9 років тому

      +John Henry Dale We are indeed using in-ear monitors.

    • @JohnHenryDale
      @JohnHenryDale 9 років тому

      +Evert Zeevalkink : so is this set-up reproducible in a live concert setting or would you need some sort of drumset isolation ?

    • @Evertzeevalkink
      @Evertzeevalkink  9 років тому

      This could work in a live setting as long as we use in-ear monitors instead of wedges.

  • @jonasdam819

    Do you use the Roland SPD-SX to record/loop the drums in the beginning, or does it Work as a midi-controller for looping in Ableton Live?
