Still one of my favorite jams on youtube..get stoned, blast this and just hang...it is so god damn good, and the talent it takes for two people to produce this level of intricacy and style is unmatched
You two are special... thank you for those magic moments. I really appreciate that you do your best to not over-do-it. It's clear that you both have serious skills on your instruments, but you know how to dose just right. Simple, effective, natural, and from the heart. Very inspiring. Powerful connection between you two there.. I can't say enough how appreciate this, reminds me all the people I connected and played with while traveling. Good job!!!
This is extremely exceptional work guys. This is what I expect from the next generation of musicians. The technology is there it's just a matter of integration of electronic and live
Quelle inspiration... Vraiment... La barre est très haute. Le génie de Gilmour et la rencontre du looper C'est vraiment très très bon. Je peux écouter pendant des heures. 😀😀😀
Evert, I think you are really Edward Norton, I think your acting is very good also, the illusionist is a brilliant film. Seriously, you chaps are really great to listen and watch put your stuff together the pair of you are very talented, I can imagine a lot of effort goes into each song they are put together beautifully.
Great stuff. I gave the people at Ableton this link & told them you were doing some amazing stuff with Ableton, the 12 step, etc. Hopefully they'll reach out to you. Any chance you can make a video showing how you programmed/mapped the 12 step to Ableton? Cheers!
+Brian Burney Thanks Brian, appreciate it! I've been planning to do some sort of instructional version of this video, but I'm not sure when I'll find the time to actually do it though.
Super interesting routing on that guitar. Would love to get more in debth of how this is done! FX-chain and even preamp. It doesnt sound to me like an amp is micced. The stereo delay is really good as well. Interesting
Hi! Thanks for the video, it's amazing what you two guys are doing together! It's been a long time you haven't done any guitar looping video on your own, hope you're not abandonning it. These vids are fabulous and in fact really instructive for effects beginners. By the way, I had a question about your Lehle P-Split. Why are you using it? Don't you have stereo output on your Nova Delay? I don't understand how you use the P-split. Thanks in advance for your answer!
+Tendwayi Bvumburah That's also the Prophet V. It's one of my own patches that features two triangle wave osc's slightly detuned and in unison mode. Also a bit of pitch modulation from the lfo.
+Tendwayi Bvumburah No that's sidechain compression. With the sidechain input being a quarter note kick drum. I've your not familiar with this, look it up; it's a common technique in dance productions.
+Dylan Drake Hi Dylan, it's a patch I made with Arturia's Prophet V synth. It's quite simple; just one square wave oscillator and a slow lfo to make the pitch drift a la Boards of Canada. I added quite lot of reverb and delay in my DAW.
This sounds amazing! :-) Do you use the Roland SPD-SX to record/loop the drums in the beginning, or does it Work as a midi-controller for looping in Ableton Live?
ohmyfuckingraptorjesus!!! what the fuck did I just saw!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I must say sir....you have a nice rack...I have a line 6 toneport UX2 from years ago and I can't even practice because my ol'lady and her daughter are watching lifetime...(the man hater channel)..but anyway... you guys kick ass...and take it from an old rocker....never give up your music.....it's a slow death bro
Still one of my favorite jams on youtube..get stoned, blast this and just hang...it is so god damn good, and the talent it takes for two people to produce this level of intricacy and style is unmatched
Would be interested to see how you set this up in an instructional video. Cool set up!
More of this duo, please!
Super great guys!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
that second half 'ethereal' or whatever part was incredible! literally had an experience
You two are special... thank you for those magic moments.

Good job!!!
Taking the art of looping to a higher level!
This is extremely exceptional work guys. This is what I expect from the next generation of musicians. The technology is there it's just a matter of integration of electronic and live

Flippin' epic!! You're inspiring me to piece together an Ableton Rig + mics, drums, keys and guitars and create some epicness with my drummer mates.

I love this. Can you guys explain how you're both doing loops with Ableton? I'd love you long time even more if you could do a tutorial video. Thanks!

Top notch.
Make it more pls

Wait, is 2 amps micced, which makes it stereo? Or am i crazy
the lehle p split, splits 1 signal into 2 amps, and makes it stereo ors omething. Lord, why didnt I know this before.
Great stuff man \m/
Super gaaf heren!!!
Damn, I'm looking for a VST/plug-in for that keyboard sound at 0:20. Anybody knows a good one I can use?
Morrison - Jake the Mdog It's the Prophet V by Arturia. See the description for more info!
Evert Zeevalkink Thanks! I was too enthusiastic I guess, didn't noticed.
cool
no words
Well done! Does anybody know which device he's using to play the guitar at around 1:30? Looks like a mixture of a stapler and shaver ;)
That's called a E-Bow
Evert, could you maybe do a video on gear and setups sometime? Like a tutorial. That would be great. Groetjes uit Nederland ;)
THIS!!

What is it you have in your hand at 1:30 Evert? Sounds amazing!
That's an EBow.
Hittin' the like button before even hear it xD

The both of you are Awesome ! Great to see two creative individuals ! Where are you guys from ?
Devin Beaman Thanks Devin, we're from the Netherlands!

Super! Daumen hoch und Abo!

How did the drummer manage to make live looping with the SPD SX ?
How were the drums looped?
at2020 on toms? i would love to do this, already have one and i love it! would you recommend them for toms?
Yeah probably 2020's in an ideal world get an Md421 ;) but you can use 57's or pretty much anything to be honest
i wish i had the money for some md's haha
just used 2 2020's and they sound supper full but they run supper hot
Hey can I ask what sounds and patches you used to get the dirty bass sounds on the keys.
+Tendwayi Bvumburah That's also the Prophet V. It's one of my own patches that features two triangle wave osc's slightly detuned and in unison mode. Also a bit of pitch modulation from the lfo.
+Evert Zeevalkink hey can I do this in logic
+Tendwayi Bvumburah The synth sound? Probably you can, if Logic provides you with a (preferably analog style) synth.
+Evert Zeevalkink is that pulsing sound from the triangle wave osc cool
+Tendwayi Bvumburah No that's sidechain compression. With the sidechain input being a quarter note kick drum. I've your not familiar with this, look it up; it's a common technique in dance productions.
I've been searching for the synth sound the drummer uses in the beginning for ages, can you share what it is?
+Dylan Drake Hi Dylan, it's a patch I made with Arturia's Prophet V synth. It's quite simple; just one square wave oscillator and a slow lfo to make the pitch drift a la Boards of Canada. I added quite lot of reverb and delay in my DAW.
Are you guys using in-ear monitors to hear yourselves ? If not how do you loop the live drum recordings without getting mic bleed?
+John Henry Dale We are indeed using in-ear monitors.
+Evert Zeevalkink : so is this set-up reproducible in a live concert setting or would you need some sort of drumset isolation ?
This could work in a live setting as long as we use in-ear monitors instead of wedges.
This sounds amazing! :-)
Do you use the Roland SPD-SX to record/loop the drums in the beginning, or does it Work as a midi-controller for looping in Ableton Live?
That's something I'd love to know as well. Could you please (!) tell us how you guys set this up?
Cool video guys! How did you monitor with out bleed? I don't see headphones on guitar player?
+sethlaelmusic I'm wearing in-ear monitors, even though you can't really see it maybe.
Minuto 2:25
Is the piano sound a preset on the Gaia or did you create it yourself?
Actually the Gaia is being used a midi controller; the sound is a patch I made on Arturia's Prophet V.
ohmyfuckingraptorjesus!!! what the fuck did I just saw!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Evert know how to express some feeling or emotion on tone. Still good song
Are you playing into an amp or straight into ableton DI?
+Ben Mitchell I'm playing into both a Bogner Duende and a Vox AC15 H1TV. The amps are recorded with two Koch Dummyboxes.
2020?
I must say sir....you have a nice rack...I have a line 6 toneport UX2 from years ago and I can't even practice because my ol'lady and her daughter are watching lifetime...(the man hater channel)..but anyway... you guys kick ass...and take it from an old rocker....never give up your music.....it's a slow death bro
great guys! and this solo..! you may like my looping sessions too! Go give a ear
ахуенно
In my opinion, this sounds terrible. I feel like it could've been much better
I hate the Drum Sound... can't hear the snare ... pls remix it properly...
