Hi Afzal, My understanding on structurers is that they create complex derivatives by combining vanilla and other liquid derivatives. The prices of these simple instruments are known as these components are liquid and are frequently traded and so structurers can themselves combine these vanilla products with known market prices and then combine to get the complex derivative price ; Then how quants help price these complex derivatives?
1:05 market division: a better idea about trading floor.
sales are the one to talk to the clients about markets.
traders are the one to come up ideas to execute trades and create markets.
2:10 S&T is on the technical aspects - how to execute the trades
2:30 execution trader: important to get the time and price. therefore, the commission would be the best for you and bank.
3:50 the last roles are structure and quants.
