I'm only 13, but I've been doing track since I was little. And I've been dreaming about going since I was in 3rd grade. And now seeing all the gear I want to go even more. Like wow. Yall are probably so amazing. And hope yall stay safe during covid. :)
Great Job guys. Football 1978 & 1979. LB. I shared a team apartment with offense across the street track stadium. The deli called the Grinder was the back of our apartment block.
As an athlete that’s school is sponsored by Nike are you allowed to train in other shoes? For comparison I race in Nike Victory spikes but train in Mizunos.
@@tonydiaz2541 yea back then oregon was actually an “adidas school” but there were fewer restrictions since these brands were just forming. as nike developed into the 80s, Bowerman and Knight had a lot of the Oregon runners testing out their specialized shoes.
Do you know what the height requirement is to get a scholarship for women's pole vault? I am a pole vaulter in Alaska and my goal is to vault at University of oregon!
I'm not sure, cause we only have one female pole vaulter right now. You would need to reach out to the coaches because they recruit for more than just marks; such as what potential you have to improve.

Question for JKai. What is the standards for walkons and scholarships for men’s pole vault?
There are a lot of factors that go into recruitment and walk ons

No, we aren’t allowed to wear anything else.
@@TaylorChocek I remember seeing pics from the 70's of Rudy Chapa, wearing Adidas, and Alberto Salazar, wearing Tiger Spartan B's, during a XC race.
