AND what hit me the hardest was that even though you kept hitting hurdle after hurdle you didn't give up and not only did you wait but you thanked God while you waited. Congratulations Masai, I remember in tour final collegiate year in the NCAAs when you were unable to secure an individual national title, and it the following years you made team USA twice, and now you are an Olympian. Truly delayed but NEVER denied. Your growth from being a freshman at Kentucky to now being a professional athlete is a testament to faith, patience, hard work, and never giving up!! Something that stood out to me the most was after you started to mention you were having some mental hardships this season, following that statement, you said "it's only been looking up from here" -or something along those words.. that to me speaks so much resilience and humbleness, because despite all the things you were experiencing at those times this season, you still came through with a positive and growth mindset, and didn't let the things you were going through, take you away from the prize.
