- In this three part series, I am trouble shooting a P0420 DTC and started the project with replacing 02 sensors, spark plugs and wires on my 2015 Silverado . Here are the parts that were used:

I'm having difficulty with the electrical connections. I can't get the downstream to come loose. Is there a trick? I notice the white clip disengages twice, first once and then a little more; however, the plugs won't come apart! It's driving me crazy. 😓
Edit: I press down on the white clip, but it's very stiff and doesn't press in very much at all. There must be a trick...

Depending on the make and year, the connectors vary for some retarded reason🤣. The issue is with the connectors clip. I had the same issue and I used a small flat head screw driver to pry it loose. Be careful not to stretch out the connector. If you break the locking tab, you can secure it with a zip tie or order connector and splice and solder it on. I hope this helps! Why doenst it let me order 2 of each I have a 2014 Silverado like yours it only lets me order 1 up and 1 down o2 sensor
Any update on this? Has the code come back? I have a p0430 code on my '15, have had 2 different shops check for an exhaust leak cause there was a ticking sound coming from the drivers side portion of the engine bay, I had figured it was a bad gasket on the manifold downpipe (have heard that was an issue), shops didn't find anything. I guess o2 sensors are next on the list to replace. I did see there was a GM service bulletin (16-NA-111 for reference) regarding the possibility of the air filter not being fully sealed which could cause dirt and debris to stove up the o2 sensors and the cat. Hope the code has stayed off for you, hoping to not replace the cat!

I’m with you there I have the same code in an 18’ replaced both O2 sensors on the passenger side check engine came back on
What if the plug isn’t coming out?
You will need to apply heat to remove the plug... I have in the past used map gas torch to quickly heat bolts/O2 sensors to loosen them.
I have a question.... I'm looking to do this job to my bone stock 14.... is the exhaust system stock as far as the cat goes??
@sydneyglaser - when this video was recorded, the Y-pipe was stock with the stock catalytic converters connected to a straight pipe (no muffler). I’ve since then installed new Y-pipe and exhaust system (with a muffler🤣)…
What if it’s showing 2 sensors? I just got a 2014 chevy and that’s the only code that comes up . P0420 P0430 . Vitals are great just sensors come up faulty
Arelygarcia1737 you will need to do a live scan to see what your 02 sensors are doing… Having both sensors trip DTC’s may or may not be a serious issue. Your downstream O2 sensors should between 0.1 and 1.0 volts (usually idle at .45 volts). You can also visually check your catalytic converters using a borescope:

You can replace O2 sensors to see if that’s the issue or check your catalytic converters too see if they clogged or damaged. Or just take it to the dealer…
I have a p0157 code and it says oxygen sensor circuit low voltage bank 2 sensor 2 and idk which one of those 4 it would be

Open ended wrench...just need to make sure you don't over torque the new sensor.

@@richrichardson8603 you will need order this through crutchfield only because they have amazing technical support… Check to make sure the head unit is compatible to show engine information. Usually then head unit will need to be paired to an interface to display that info. It’s cost nothing to call them up and ask what head units can perform that function… I hope this helps.
