Most of them are correct english like "Hexentia" It's just if you're gonna change something in english make sure it makes ense. Like "Matter Destruct" to "Form Destroyer" Makes sense. where as "Rebirth Crsader" to "Heavely Crusade" does not. If it's in japanese by all means translate it beut if something like "Expendable Pride" Shows you who Alivin is don't be stupid and change it to "Terminus Pride" Because it "sounds Cooler" which is doesn't. That last thing I have on the nit pick train is the change from "Corpse Shell" to "Chromatus" I mean what the hell guys
You deserve a medal of some kind, because out of all the Mystic Arte videos on UA-cam, this is probably the only one that doesn't show each one multiple times just because the person performing it is wearing a different outfit at the time. I saw only one repeat where nothing about the Arte actually changed (fractured Muzét's), though I might've missed something that was different.
Some people are picky about details. I kinda liked seeing all the variations of an MA, it's an exhibition, so we should just go all out, y'know. But that's just me.
Gotta love Mystic artes. And more Japanese purists here, I see. A lot of the fans actually say Xillia 2 has better voice work than the first. And they are right. I love Leia's MA quote and voice in this one than in the first.

Here's one thing I absolutely REALLY hate about ToX's MAs: you have to be linked to activate them. Yeah.... Overlimit is used when the gauge is full and when you use a link arte, and then when you hold an arte button, the Mystic Arte activates. However... if you're solo, you cannot be linked, thus cannot activate Overlimit, thus cannot use Mystic Artes... Should have been a skill to allow Mystic Artes to be used when you're NOT linked... because some battles, such as the coliseum, are tough, but would be more manageable with Mystic Artes. Another thing I kinda hate here in ToX2 is that they gave Ludger a Dual MA for everyone, gave back Jude's and Milla's Dual MA from ToX1... but didn't give a Dual MA for the others. Alvin & Leia could have gotten one, just like Rowen & Elize and Gaius & Muzét, especially the last two considering how they're often together. Also, I'm kinda disappointed that they reused many of the previous game's bosses. Even if you're dealing with alternate dimensions, it's kinda... sad. Then again, not complaining that the other bosses don't have Dual MAs as well... or worse... Wingul, Dao, Agria and Presa all teamimg up for a full-team MA... oh crap X_X (Hey, give me some credits, that would have been cool.) Finally (yeah, sorry about that), YEAH for Cless and Stahn! Yet... no Dual MA for Mint and Rutee? Aw... a shame really... On a sidenote, with all these mecanics about linking and such, I'm surprised that they didn't go for Emil and Marta from DotNW for cameos, which is also a game to use "similar" linking techniques. Hell, Emil and Marta even HAVE a Dual MA. That duo would have been perfect. Yuri and Flynn also had one in Vesperia PS3 too, as well as... every single party member in Rebirth, another game, but where linking was first introduced. I recently got the chance to play the game, I just finished Chapter 7 (don't worry, I got spoiled months ago)... and I like it. I liked the first game too, minus some flaws, but I'm really enjoying the sequel... when you get pass the fact that Ludger often feels like a spectator... since he doesn't TALK. Yeah... the other playable characters are more lively than Ludger. Namco should have taken a few ideas from western games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect, both in which the main characters talk nomrally in addiiton of choosing their answers.
As a fan of the original Xillia, and heard the Japanese versions of both games, I'm definitely all for English because I can actually understand them XD Having played Xillia 1 so much, these new ones will take some getting used to, but they're no means inherently bad. Plus having favorites between them is just expected lol
Props to those who got past that EXTREMELY ANNOYING Shadow Milla fight, especially if it was set on Hard Difficulty like I usually do (since Unknown difficulty is only unlocked post-story and I select that for my NG+ runs) as I love the challenges that the Tales of Xillia offers, was FAR more challenging than the shit-easy, kiddy challenges that "Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch" offered, seriously... -_- And @2:40 ... Damn right it doesn't get old, Al. Hell, I always laugh at that part in sheer delight due to how badass it ends in firework-fashion. ha ha ha ^-^ Also, I prefer Agria's original line for her Mystic Arte from the first Xillia SOOOO much more, seriously, just sounds a LOT better to me. :>

The only problem I have with some of the names is that they feel too long. I feel like MA names should be simple and snappy. Savage Wolf Fury, Lunar Requiem, Razing Phoenix. Bullet Crucifixion and Apocalyptic Sforzando have words that are too complicated and when they're said all rushed like they are, it sort of comes out all jumbled. I'm not saying "omg people are dumb need easy words", it's that Limit Breaks need to be snappy. Although Bullet Crucifixion is a direct translation, I feel they could have come up with something better. And as for the other, why not Last Sforzando? It holds pretty much the same meaning. Not that I'm not happy we got the game translated, and I haven't played too far into the game, these are just a few gripes I have. Not enough to ruin the overall experience for me.

I like the english dubbing of the Xillias so much more than the japanese. Honestly, the only japanese voice I prefer is Milla's - mostly because her voicing in Xillia 1's Hi-Ougi is my all-time favourite.

ok, first don't call names ok? second most of the files are .PKG ie yes the ps3 can read those but with the newer updates make it were it can not. however if you wish to downgrade it (very risky) because the main risk is you can literally brick your system. so my recomendation? don't do it.
Max out friendship with Elize and she will ask you if you want to change the name of the mystic arte or not. You can switch anytime when you talk to her
The artes themselves look pretty cool. However, the acting seems really weird, as if the actors just rushed through their lines. They did a much better job in the first Xillia.
Using the EX New game trick that allow you to have all your stats and stuff from the previous run and prevent the progression with the story. It´s the only way to use Fractured Milla MA^^

I think they did damn good job dubbing these. I think you need to go play some eternia before calling this "the worst". The names on some of the MA's could use some polishing but the other lines were good mostly (not as good as in Vesperia or some Abyss'). The lack of indignation is a disappointment too. (Dunno if it's in as a spell).
Derpalisti Apologies for overreacting. I have played Eternia, and yes I know how bad that one was. However, I seriously think that the dub here was not the best it could've been. But keep in mind that I'm only talking about the Mystic Artes. I currently own both English versions of the game and I do think the overall is done very well, but the Mystic Artes dubbing in the second game is waaaaay too literal. Maybe it's just me but it doesn't sound at all like what or how native English speakers would have said in such a situation. I have nothing against the voices themselves but the choice of words just aren't working for me.

You have to reach a certain freindship level with the character you wanted to perform the L-MA. You will recieve a linked mystic arte special skill. In the Overlimit you have to Hold R2 after a Link Artes and there you go^^

It is wondering why They go through the trouble to chnage it when it's in english. It's the same as Logi's Eater. Why change that to Pyro Storm? Or Expendable Pride? Why change expandable to Terminus when Expendable Pride embodies Alvin's Character. Or why change Reqiuem Beat to Requiem? Or change Bubble Stalker to Bubble Blast? Or Rock swing to crossfire along with THE END to Apocoliptica and Sort L'arde to Crushing Blow. The same with Pink Pinker Pinkest and changing LuLu's name to Rollo. and Heavenly Crusder also takes away from MIlla's character. ANd also "Have to change it proper english" not really. They kept Lightning Nova didn't they? If that changed that to something retarded like "Nova of Thunder" or "Fuck the Pope" it would've sounded stupid if not funnier. I can understand changing The Japanese like Basaizan Ayami or Basaizan Jyuuga but when it's in english don;t change it. it just creates more work

The End does not make sence as a move name, its generic and is not a name its a state ment "This is the end" but for the name of an attack in martial art standpoints literally dosent make sence, not saying apocaliptica is much better but, The japanese use english to sound cool, here in america we use it to actually convert emotion and understanding, not every english move can be moved in america for example "Saint Bubble" was translated to "Blessed Drops" what sounds better when put to word? and a Ask you again please stop being a japanese purist and look at it from there point of view.
I like the english dubbing of the Xillias so much more than the japanese. Honestly, the only japanese voice I prefer is Milla's - mostly because her voicing in Xillia 1's Hi-Ougi is my all-time favourite.

I believe it's a reward from paying off so much debt on your loan. I don't remember the exact amount. You get a "no jacket" version of everybody at some point if you keep paying.

She's actually pretty good in-game... and pretty much the same as the first one. The MA lines are a little weird though, I'll give you that.

How you get the Maxwell mystic with Jude?
Beat extra chapter to get Maxwell arcane arte and use the skill that lets you use Hi Ougis when holding X/O during arcane arte during overlimit.

It is possible to do it. The only thing that happend when you convert it is that the dlc name and description stay blank

ok, first don't call names ok? second most of the files are .PKG ie yes the ps3 can read those but with the newer updates make it were it can not. however if you wish to downgrade it (very risky) because the main risk is you can literally brick your system. so my recomendation? don't do it.

Max out friendship with Elize and she will ask you if you want to change the name of the mystic arte or not. You can switch anytime when you talk to her
aaah, okay. I'm already maxed on friendship with her, so i'll have to talk to her next time
I forgot that you may have to finish all her Character Episode first. I am not so sure since I change it pretty late after I am done with everything
The artes themselves look pretty cool.
However, the acting seems really weird, as if the actors just rushed through their lines. They did a much better job in the first Xillia.

Using the EX New game trick that allow you to have all your stats and stuff from the previous run and prevent the progression with the story. It´s the only way to use Fractured Milla MA^^
KHRGaming I've started a new game about four time since it released and i used inherit skills and artes, but every time specials were locked till prime milla came back, and had her little affinity chat with ludg3r

As I mention it´s a Ex new game trick. A glitches trick which all your skill remain even the special for the Fractured Milla for her MA. You can´t get it through normal New game plus^^'

No. In the arena you will fight Cless, Stahn, Mint and Rutee. There´s also a Kongman cameo skin. But that´s pretty much all in game cameo
The fanservice is real in this game. Tons of cameo costumes, weapons, accessories etc.

How would you know if the Japanese dub was bad as well? Of course you wouldn't know because you don't understand Japanese. In anime, we think Japanese dub is better because we don't understand the language.

I think they did damn good job dubbing these. I think you need to go play some eternia before calling this "the worst". The names on some of the MA's could use some polishing but the other lines were good mostly (not as good as in Vesperia or some Abyss'). The lack of indignation is a disappointment too. (Dunno if it's in as a spell).
Derpalisti Apologies for overreacting. I have played Eternia, and yes I know how bad that one was. However, I seriously think that the dub here was not the best it could've been. But keep in mind that I'm only talking about the Mystic Artes. I currently own both English versions of the game and I do think the overall is done very well, but the Mystic Artes dubbing in the second game is waaaaay too literal. Maybe it's just me but it doesn't sound at all like what or how native English speakers would have said in such a situation. I have nothing against the voices themselves but the choice of words just aren't working for me.
Derpalisti Sorry, I forgot to mention that it's also the constant pausing between words are making everything sound really unnatural. Even if they're supposed to be saying an incantation or something it just doesn't feel right.
Rin Natsuki The pause in jude's MA bothered me too. And i can't really comment on the "not sounding native" as i'm not native speaker myself. Maybe that' why the dubbing didn't bother me that much.

How do you do those linked mystic artes
You have to reach a certain freindship level with the character you wanted to perform the L-MA. You will recieve a linked mystic arte special skill. In the Overlimit you have to Hold R2 after a Link Artes and there you go^^
Oh ok how high the friendship level have to be to get the skill
