Something I notice in this games mystic artes as opposed to other tales games I've played...they all look so vibrant and bright, it really adds to the splendour, makes them feel powerful.
It's just a detail that Namco loves using, because the VERY first thing Tales showed us, ever, was Phantasia starting with him getting raped by that spell. In Eternia you can fuck up Sekundes with it, who looks like Dhaos, and this game well, you saw.
It's my favorite tales of. These are true mystic arts. They are leagues above Graces, Xillia, Zestiria and Berseria. It makes me sad when i see what Namco has done to their franchise.
The second Mystic Artes for each of the original characters are awesome. Rita with Indignation, and Raven's second were my favorites. Patty has, by far, one of the most interesting Mystic Artes, though. (6:26) Oh mah gawd, it's QUICKIE!!

No, the memory battles were in the original as well. It's a part of the EX dungeon where you fight Kratos at the end. There was a dungeon added for the ps3 version, but it's not one where you refight old bosses.
Barbatos, Kratos, Dhaos, are all Cameo bosses you can fight in the 200-man-melee in the arena. Barbatos' MA is called "No Items Ever!", which triggers the first time an item is used when he is alive and in the arena. It targets the player who used the item.
@AuraGuardianML actually interesting fact..they plan on releasing an english version of the PS3 vesperia but because of a few debt problems they are still in discussion
I just realized that the fire, wind, and water things in Estelles 2nd mystic art are in Tales of Graces, too. They're part of Pascal's Blast Calibars (although she's not a summoner o.o)
@Onevsamillion 9999999, probably the damage limit cap as well, if it was higher I'd almost guarantee it would be more. That and her stats were probably really high, as far as I have seen, the second mystic artes are attached to certain weapons. Not sure though, haven't played it myself, only observed a battle against the Sword Dancer

But I think that what people are saying is that ever since Indignation became a MA, it seems to be a MA tier spell than an advance spell, which has then became overused and extremely cliched. Indignation is now in about 4 games as MAs (Eternia, Abyss, Dawn, and Vesperia) and the Dhaos Easter egg is in two games. While Demon Fang, Sword Rain, etc is overused, it is not "broken" compared to Indignation (being the spell that killed Dhaos and first one cast in ToP).
@Absolution171990 The attack doesn't do that much damage, although it's still absurdly powerful. Using Indignation on Dhaos when he's at critical HP will one shot him with the unique dialogue preceding it. It's a reference to Tales of Phantasia, where he was killed at the beginning of the game with Indignation.
@Onlymaybe7 no you can play with games from other countries on your ps3 there is no protections so you can import it moreover a lot of people that did that with this game he is so good on ps3 and flynn and patty are very powerful if you have other question don't hesitate to ask me about vesperia ps3
Only for that particular boss, Dhaos. It's a reference to Tales of Phantasia. If used on any other enemy, it's normal damage (for a mystic arte/hi-oug anywayi)

Tales of Graces f has been confirmed to be released in North America this year! And the release of Vesperia PS3 has been hinted, although it isn't certain. If they are both localized, that would be just GREAT!!
@DevilSlayer58 she has many of her artes that refers to the poker with cards and money , she has 4 battle style normal, advance , brainel and critical many of her artes change with each style , she is very quick in critical and she can cast a spell that with chance can put all of your characters in ovl lv 4 she is funny and mature , she like make fun of rita and karol and like flynn , she join an leave the group several times until the desert and is useful in the story ,
@214CIceCar Eh, sort of. Clint doesnt have a LOT of HP and, by the time the boss fight comes, you can out-level him. With that you should be able to kill/stun him before the OLs. That said, if he does OL, you need to either stay away or have someone bait him away from the group, because the mystic arte doesnt have unlimited range. If you dont take that first hit, where he pounds the ground, you wont get fatal striked.
Weren't all party members standing? The same thing applies to Patty too, who was near the middle and also got healed (not resurrected, which would be impossible anyway since she's the one doing the MA). Also, the fact that there are those differences are still enough for me to call it "two versions"
@KIWIMAN47 Namco added another PS3-exclusive feature to that casino island. If you pay the cow boy 300 Chips, you can re-fight any boss you've defeated with your current party. In other words, Estelle Vs. Estelle and Flynn Vs. Flynn fights :)

Hm so there are two versions of Patty's "Angel Judgment" hi ougi. The one in this exhibition is the one with less light beams, but includes healing circles (the other one has a lot of beams but no healing).
seeing as it was against Dhaos, and taking in consideration his special reaction to it (the camera zoomed in on him) and how indignation was used against him in ToP (and the fact that it damaged a number with a lot of 9's in it) I would guess it's a special case against him only o; but it's just a guess

@Calpernicous Why do a lot of people assume that Patty is a Chat-equivalent character? Honestly where did that idea stem from? The fact she has a pirate hat? the fact that she's looking for Aifread? I'm not at all convinced that's it. Seriously Patty is own character with her own abilities that is nothing like Chat. They are two entirely different characters. Chat relies on her pow hammers to fight her battles, Patty relies on gamble techniques. Chat was looking for Aifread, Patty IS Aifread

Specifically, you only get that damage when using Indignation against Dhaos. It does that every time you use Indignation against him.

It's one of Patty's gambling mystic artes. Her whole mystic arte seems to have a random effect, one of which is Barbatos doing damage to everyone.

Someone mentioned that Asbel's 3rd Blast Calibur looks similar to Repede's Second Mystic Arte. I guess it does look somewhat similar.
