As a Venezuelan, I consider this people my brothers and sisters too, and love my chinese friends, even If others venezuelan don't. As a refugee, as they may consider themselves, I wish them all success and happiness. May we reunite in the future, in our beautiful country
@Ken Man Getting rid of a sanguinary regime is not as easy as you may think. China has live under the communist regime for over 50 years. People "run away" for a brighter future not with an individual desire but to provide their family the future they think they deserve. Would you fight and die knowing that after your death your family would starve and live with fear the rest of their life? Syria and Libya have been in a Civil War for almost 10 years now, they escape the country to literally survive and give their children the opportunity to live life. It's not easy to defeat factions or a whole regime which is financiated by China, USA or Russia and worst if the two parts are being financiated by them. These questions your made for others you may ask them for yourself, why do they "run away"? If you've got questions, what do you do when asking is not enough? you should go and investigate then.
@Ken Man Those you mentioned fell due to economical reasons, richness and power go together, you can't have power and influence without money. CCP is a well established dictatorship. They have the guns, the control, the money and of course the power.

I find it hard to believe many of them ''love'' Venezuela. I mean, I have no problems with immigrants so long as they don't commit crimes, but Chinese people are widely known here for barely interacting with Venezuelans. Never in my life have I seen a Chinese vote, for example. They're always isolated, they only mix with their own people. I get that the culture is very different, but if you live in your own bubble in the country you immigrate to, you aren't really adapting or becoming a citizen of that country.

It's fine to interact with your own people, but you're in a foreign country, adapt, learn the language and culture or leave. Immigration should bring positive things, it's not a shelter for people so they can live in their own bubbles.
Well, they probably do speak Spanish, but this video is on the South China Morning Post's channel, so I'm assuming that's why they're speaking Chinese in the video. My parents have lived in Venezuela since 1991 and they do speak the language. They do vote. They have learned and are continuing to learn about the culture. I was born in Venezuela. I have a lot of relatives and family friends there too. My parents genuinely love Venezuela. It's where they met, where they married, and where they had their first child. Even in this political and economical climate, they have not left, unlike some of their friends who have returned to China.
Illyasviel von Einzbern It’s the same situation in countries such as Canada and Australia. That guy is middle aged so he grew up speaking Chinese. My point is, you don't lose your mother tongue easily. Unless you're completely alone and have no chance to interact with others using your mother tongue you're not going to lose it. In his case, I'm sure he hung out with the Chinese community when he was in Venezuela and have access to people back home. P.S. I'm trying to figuring out which type of Chinese he's speaking. Such a dumb comment, how is that any different from any other 1st generation immigrant to any country? Why do you think there is a Little Italy in New York? You think 1st generation Italian Americans who came to America on boats and couldn't speak a lick of English are going to be social butterflies and integrate with WASP Americans like they grew up together? 🤣What if you immigrate to Russia, are you going to make a ton of Russian friends when you can't even understand once sentence of Russian? Just use basic logic. The second generation completely integrates. Come to America and tell me second generation Asians don't integrate when they grew up in the suburbs, speak with an American accent, have friends of all races, literally live amongst every race in America in every type of neighborhood, attain the highest paying jobs which can only be done if you integrate and are well liked by the people in power. There is not even such thing as a "2nd generation Asian American" neighborhood ANYWHERE in the USA - that's how integrated they are, they don't even have their own neighborhoods like Black, White and Latino people do in America. They live amongst everyone and integrate the MOST out of any race.
It just so sad that I see this outstanding Chinese fleeing Venezuela. I wonder why the government did not do anything about it knowing that they're having serious problem with Chinese community. I'm quite sure Chinese community benefit the country economy in some way
What? Look at more videos about the situation in Venezuela, it is horrendous. There are Venezuelans getting boats and crossing the sea to get away to a better life in neighbouring countries. Unfortunately Coronavirus happened and they are now without jobs in countries that are still on lockdown. Sad situation for them because they were able to send money and supplies back home to family members who stayed, now they could barely feed themselves far less help those back in Venezuela.
Some if not most people are filled with hate. Yet because of pride they hold to themselves, they love the blame game, or simply play poor innocent victim. Why are people trying to prove themselves to people that hate? There is nothing you can do to prove yourself. The folks that hate will continue to hate.
The chinesse people here is very worker....but some chinesse citizens here in Venezuela are racists and don´t respect our Venezuelan citizens. But you can come to Venezuela when you want!
Remember a true friend it will help you even through thick or thin. But, a friend who only wants to benefit from you through friendship is a very dangerous one. So be careful who you trust and be careful to anyone you deal with.
Try being grateful you have somewhere to go. So many people struggle and die there w empty tummys. This video talks of the political and economic situation, not the humanitarian one.
don't lose hope please, this situation will change, we love your business here. I was really sad the chinese people that run the supermarket here in my neighborhood had to leave specially since their kids grew up in here I never speak to them more than necessary but they're were hardworking people who never miss a day of work. no hay mal que dure 100 años gente!
It is true that working and own business in latin american general is a lot easier than China or U.S. They are more relax and not as much as rat race but government are not staple and very corrupt.
I don't mind the Chinese folks living in my hometown>> I mean my favorite restaurant is in china town and also my favorite massage parlour is there too.
@ Truthfears Guilty Unfortunately, every item you wrote was totally wrong. According to the United Nation's report of Gender Inequality Index 2015 , China had a value of 0.164 which is better than the United States (0.203) and many other developed countries. Chinese baby girls also do not put their feet in iron shoes. now Mr. Shit Curry ! Seriously, please make sure that you kids are able to get enough education, or they will continue to be ignorant like you.
Truthfear Guilty, I have you know that Chinese food is better than the crap your culture produces. Also, what the fuck do you really have to be pride? The only thing I see is your ignorance. You insinuating that Chinese people can only be cooks? That is fucking joke, right. Chinese are working in R&D, build companies, and work as software developers etc. Point being, Chinese are doing many more things than your mom, and daddy.
It's because they have a language barrier, obviously they're not going to interact with the locals if they are first generation immigrants. If their kids are born and raised in Venezuela, the second generation will be fluent in Spanish and grow up with local friends. It's the same for immigrants everywhere in the world, has nothing to do with them being Chinese or Asian 🤣 You think if you immigrate to France and there is a Venezuelan community there you are going to make tons of local French friends when you can't even speak the language rather than hanging out with your fellow Venezuelans? Of course not - you'll behave the EXACT same way the Chinese behave in your country because you'll be too shy to learn the French language and integrate. Also, Asians are not antisocial, that's such an ignorant comment. Go to Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, even China, people will interact with you, joke with you and chat with you. They are always smiling and are the friendliest people in the world.
@@kennykross3306 🤣Stop pretending like if you went to Africa that you'd befriend all of the local Africans when you can't even speak their language either.
theklrdude oo. There is nothing wrong with socialism but a lot of things wrong with stability. If you have stability, everything thrive but with instability, you have chaos.
The East Asians in Latin American countries have privileges in many aspects that Mestizos, Whites, Sephardim, Ashkenazi, Middle Easterners, And North Africans have but that Amerindians And Blacks lack
That's because they can't speak the local language. The second generation would totally integrate. Has nothing to do with them being Chinese, literally every first generation immigrant behaves the same way in every country that allows immigration - because they come from a different culture, speak a different language and seek familiarity. All of that doesn't apply to the second generation because they are 100% locals at that point and integrate completely naturally. Why do you think Chinese are successful and live in every region of the world? Because they integrate well and people like them. Otherwise they wouldn't even survive.
How come they left when things got bad instead of helping? Plus I'm sure is more expensive to live in china? How have they contributed to make Venezuela better?
When it used to be 1USD to 8 VFD to 1:8000 anyone would decide to leave, and those who dont are too poor to leave. You would literally starve, just seeing those videos of Venezuelans fighting to steal chickens from a transport truck already makes me not want to live in a country like that.
Criminality, hyperinflation and rampant corruption. Even the non chinese Venezuelans want to leave, we have become a country of unwanted illegal immigrants in all neighbor countries. China does not want Venezuelans even if they were born from chinese couples while living here. Situation is dire and is only getting worse. If you are from a chinese family chances are high you will get kidnapped and ransomed, many have been killed and the police is often involved with the crimes as well, or they commit crimes on their own (demanding money to business owners or else). And what can they do, when venezuelans themselves are hostages of a criminal government, where people are thrown into a dungeon all the time without seeing a lawyer for years. You have no idea how dangerous this place has become, everyone wants to leave and some reports say 4 million (from a 30 million population) have left already. Many people sell everything they own, car, home and all belongings, to barely afford a bus ticket to a neighbor country, where they hope to work in "anything they find" to then buy another bus ticket to keep moving into the next country and so on. It is so easy to blame immigrants when you don't live in a shithole country that won't even give you the documents you are supposed to get to travel (ie. passports apostille, etc) unless you provide a small fortune in bribes and then you can't afford the bus ticket anymore...
Please, lad, I live in Venezuela. I'm still stuck in that shithole. Well, with any luck Venezuelans will learn their lesson and never elect another leader like Chávez or Maduro. But given humanity's track of short-term memory regarding blunders in history, I'm sure Venezuelans will be stupid enough to repeat the same mistake. The previous elections were the proof of that. Even though Maduro shamelessly committed fraud and pulled 6 millions out of his ass, the small minority of Chabestias that still remain, somehow still think that that vermin is a good president or that there's an ''economic war''. Needless to say, Venezuelans got themselves into this mess. No country will help us.
To be fair there are stories of Venezuelans eating dog and cat meat because they are too broke. Not a joke just google it. Poor people have no choice, no need to make fun of poor Chinese people who have to do the same, when your own people also do it.
End the US economic and domestic politic war on Venezuela and live will be fine again over there. China could do it. But it rather choses to cowtow to the USA.
Thorus Crusius China isn’t quite ready to do that yet, plus China doesn’t like to interfere with other nations, on top of that the US and China are way too tied together economically right now. They are mutually reliant on each other at the moment, although this is becoming less and less the case for China. If things continue in their current direction China will pretty much own the US or what’s left of it in the next 20 years.
Haha you must be dumb... Long story short, the goverment persecution of the private property, scaring off foreign investors, and control exchange is what is killing venezuela... Your "American economic war" is nothing but a conspiracy theory. The Chinese are profiting big time from venezuela's crisis... Lending the bankrupt venezuelan goverment billions of dollars in exchange of assets, resources... China already controls 30% of PSVSA, Wich is venezuela's largest oil company. At this rate venezuela will become a Chinese colony in no time.
vnzla was paradise for many chinese, make a lot of money and put it in US acount, i am sorry for the chinese that went back to china, not enough money to go to other country. well today there is other chinese thriving in vnzla, the red ones.
You should move to Russia, become a citizen and see how Russians will criticize you because you don't integrate because you're too dumb to learn 2 sentences in Russian and you'll realize how much of a hypocrite you are.

Sad situation for them because they were able to send money and supplies back home to family members who stayed, now they could barely feed themselves far less help those back in Venezuela.
the culture remains different
it's not a mixing culture
isolation always
Some if not most people are filled with hate. Yet because of pride they hold to themselves, they love the blame game, or simply play poor innocent victim. Why are people trying to prove themselves to people that hate? There is nothing you can do to prove yourself. The folks that hate will continue to hate.
This video should and must mention The Taiwameae-Venezuelans also?
Chinese went back to china from venezuela due to hyperinflation.
In 2012 1 USD was 8 VEF. Today 1 USD is 2000000 VEF, most people earn that in a month...
I think I now understand why people think I’m Asian, even though I am Venezuelan
Aboriginal genes.
I am Indian I love chinese ppl
Try being grateful you have somewhere to go. So many people struggle and die there w empty tummys. This video talks of the political and economic situation, not the humanitarian one.
I am chinese but not from china, i love venezuelan chicks, they are so hottttt
Wow what an interesting point of view on the Venezuelan situation
don't lose hope please, this situation will change, we love your business here. I was really sad the chinese people that run the supermarket here in my neighborhood had to leave specially since their kids grew up in here I never speak to them more than necessary but they're were hardworking people who never miss a day of work. no hay mal que dure 100 años gente!
Great video. Really interesting.
@ Truthfears Guilty
Unfortunately, every item you wrote was totally wrong. According to the United Nation's report of Gender Inequality Index 2015 , China had a value of 0.164 which is better than the United States (0.203) and many other developed countries.
Chinese baby girls also do not put their feet in iron shoes.

Truthfear Guilty,
I have you know that Chinese food is better than the crap your culture produces.
I'm a Filipino I love the Venezuelans but I don't want to hegemonize the Chinese

Go to México next time. The point is to get Chinese culture and influence to rival the USA.
they saw it coming as soon as that country became socialist they bailed .
they had experience , in china they had socialism when they were kids .!
theklrdude oo. There is nothing wrong with socialism but a lot of things wrong with stability. If you have stability, everything thrive but with instability, you have chaos.
if there is nothing wrong with it why does it always fail .?
Um. You have socialist countries in Europe (UK, France, Sweden, Germany), East Asia (China, South Korea, Japan), even in Canada they are socialist.
Sadly this a year old report now situation is even worse in venu . china should help their comrades
Even with all the oil money, socialism failed again.

No money no honey :/ sad that you only like the country when you have money and abandon it asap when there is none. Don’t country hop like this.
they are not the only ones getting out
The East Asians in Latin American countries have privileges in many aspects that Mestizos, Whites, Sephardim, Ashkenazi, Middle Easterners, And North Africans have but that Amerindians And Blacks lack
try IQ test all of them and you will wonder why.
try IQ test all of them and you will wonder why.
They dont interact with the people or the society. It's just about money
In the country of the blind the one eye man is king.
Has vivdo en mi pais durante 24 anos y todavia no hablas espanol? Por que no?
Indonesian Chinese Is Sad Too
How come they left when things got bad instead of helping?
No country will help us.
cantonese are cantonese, you HONG KONG MORNING POST should emphasie that since they speak cantonese not mandarin.

Chinese minorities around the world need love and protection from the locals. We support you. Love from Canada.

French-Canadians don't assimilate either. They are a massive pain in the butt to Canadians.
Why would we need to assimilate ? We are already Canadian.

Back or dead!
Dogs are tastier in Venezuela it seems PMSL!
To be fair there are stories of Venezuelans eating dog and cat meat because they are too broke. Not a joke just google it. Poor people have no choice, no need to make fun of poor Chinese people who have to do the same, when your own people also do it.
Should have come to America fools
They Chinese went to money !!!
commies or commies? very difficult choice
Please dont come to malaysia..please..
