dari semua sepatu handmade yang pernah ane liat pidionya di youtube, ini yang paling handmade, bener2 full make tangan ngerjainya, edun......skillnya udah level 99 semua itu
Nice to see the young fella getting in on the job. Keep a dying tradition alive. My self I am a third generation shoe maker who left but I'm making a comeback thanks to videos like this. All the best God bless 👍
WHO SAYS THE THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES CANNOT SHOES SAME AS ITALY. THIS SHOWS THAT YOU DON'T NEED ALL THE MODERN TOOLS FOR A HAND MADE SHOES. BRAVO TO BOTH OF YOU ALL .THANKS
just came from watching how they make louis vuitton mens shoes and while they do a lot of the work with just their hands, this shows true craftmanship...they don't have nice buffers or brushes or sanders and all that machinery. everything is truely "hand" made. lots of respect for these people :)
This is the most amazing thing I have ever seen, I really don't have words. I would love to spend two days with these guys (and an interpreter!) to learn...
An amazing shoe making the traditional way......! The video was very well done and the background music is just perfect to blend with the theme. It has got a very bright future and I hope the workers are being well taken care of by the boss. They are Perfect Skilled workers, hard to find.....
GOOD JOB .BEAUTIFUL .NICE AND ELEGANT.BEAUTIFUL HAND MADE SHOES AND TRAINING THE YOUNG MAN,YOUNG MAN KEEP IT UP AND FORGET ABOUT VIDEO GAMES AND CONSTRAINT ON LEARNING THE ART OF SHOE MAKING. THANKS
Almost every part of the process could have been done by punches and dies, but the fact that every hole was punched by hand, the welts hand skived, the soles trimmed by hand gives me goosebumps, and as peaceful as it looks, stitching by hand is tiring and often painful to pull the thread through by hand. Craftsmen of this level are like Gods to me.
We need to have as much work as possible return to the hands of craftsmen and women. Better products, safer practices, happier clients and workers. Automation has its place (my specialty) but nothing beats handcrafted longevity.
the average salary in Jakarta is very low compared to other countries. The 77$%dc If they did this in the US or Canada they would make a ton more money. Also people outside of Indonesia would be more likely to buy because they wouldn’t worry about long and expensive shipping and possible shipping problems. Two dollars is significantly more than two cents, but it doesn’t mean that it’s a lot.
A nice looking hand made shoe. THe goodyear welt was invented to use a machine to speed shoe construction. Mostly artificial materials in the good year process.
Seems like the most expensive pair on the site goes for around $125 USD unless I'm mistaken with my googling. Which makes them cheaper than a lot of other shoes and about half the cost of my work boots. hardly only for the rich.
You shouldn’t use a metal cobbling hammer on those metal hole punches. Look at 2:31 at the end of the punch, where it is being hit by the hammer. It is all flattened and mushroomed over. Metal on metal is a perfect way to ruin you expensive tools. Use a leather working maul, or a wood, rubber or hard plastic hammer/mallet. It needs some weight so you don’t have to hit hard all the time. Super nice work btw. Can’t wait to get my boots!
I'm half Dutch & half Indonesian. Indonesian shoe makers are hard workers. I appreciated them. The making of the shoe is an art in itself.
Every time I see fine leather shoes being hand made It amazes me. A tradition I hope never dies.......
Just music no talking ., and the best video I’ve seen

Yes beautiful shoermacher
Panjang umur & sehat selalu buat senior2 cobbler kita ini. Kami masi ingin terus melihat hasil2 dari tangan bapak & mbah sekalian
There's doing things 'by hand' and then there's this. Incredible!
There's something really enjoyable about seeing something built completely by hand. I can't put my finger on it.
Fantastic Workmanship......!!!
Unbelievable. Proof you don't need the latest tools and technologies to make something beautiful - just unbelievable skill.
Youre right, Have you noticed his Creaser? 5:50 to 5:56 cow bone. Love the way old way of making shoe👍

Anyone know how long does it take the shoes to get from Indonesia to the States?
Wow
Hand stitched welt. Enough said.
If you click "Show More" in the description, it is written there. Santalum is Indonesian brand.
I did not see any gemming attached to the insole fot the welt? Did the stitches go through the insole?
no nailed heels?
суппер
where can i buy those shoes in Asia ?
There is hand made method and there is the goodyear welted technology. They´re not the same.

Anyone know the quality of the leather?
