    The fact is Bret didn’t need to cut “promos” as a face because he was the excellence of execution, he backed it up in the ring. But as a heel, Bret hit the mark with his promos.

      You know Bret hart was a bad guy before when he was in tag teams the Jim night hart . Back in the 80,s in my opinion he will be a very great bad guy if he put his mind in to it even more. And stop worrying about the fan’s think . He’s making lots of money 💴 there not .

    This right here was the raw and primordial DNA that birthed the Attitude Era. This contorted chemistry between Hart and Austin - where the former became a jaded hero turned villain of the American masses while the latter became the reluctant anti-hero. It was no longer a vanilla layout of good versus bad but grey versus grey.

      @@laoch5658 no it was a slow justified heel turn which really started after the Royal Rumble where he got screwed. Brilliant storytelling he was turning heel way before mania but it was official in mania.

    Bret did amazing as a heel even though he hated the idea of being a heel and putting down Americans.

    People frame it as heel vs face but that dynamic often broken down when bret is involved, going back to the 80s. Bret vs. stone cold at WM13 was a badass vs a rage fueled maniac.

    I always think that Bret is someone who should have worked out his lines for his promos then rehearsed them like an actor. What he said and how he said it was usually believable but he always had a few stammers and stutters in his promos. A promo like this, if refined a little and delivered without any stammering would rival a Stone Cold promo.
