I've been a hairstylist for 39 yrs. this year (2019). Just found your station & LOVE YOU! When you commented that all hairstylists are amazing, I feel head over heels. Although, I tend to believe we're all just a little touched in the head. lol Wonderful technique, great sense of humor, knowledgeable & useful information. I'm definitely a fan.

Adam doesn't just do terrific cutting but he explains everything and process in a way that even dummies like me can understand. It's also therapeutic just to watch these cuts, almost like having it done. I find it's real easy to relax and fall asleep after a few cuts.

That looks wonderful as usual. One thing I would like to see, only because I'm probably not the only middle-aged subscriber, is a model/client or two that represents my age range. Maybe show an example of how the right cut can take a few years off someone's face.

It made me happy as well. Being a hairdresser, you may see problem areas in someone's hair and do some correction work with your scissors and the next person will not understand what you were going after and start the mouth downgrading the cut you gave, even though the client was happy with their hair-and just couldn't fit your schedule. Stay classy!

I have hair with texture similar to Suzi's. I used to have a great stylist. When she cut my hair, it moved beautifully. Then I moved to another state and I haven't been able to find anyone who can do that. The last person I went to cut in a lot of obvious layers that made it look wispy.

  • @kelseagail_xo

Omg I need you to cut my hair! Amazing! I can not find a hair dresser for the life of me, or know what to even ask for to ensure they understand what I need. I feel like a lot of hair dressers yes know how to cut hair, but don’t have any knowledge about what is good for each person. I have hair just like hers, thin, and straight. I want a bob so badly, the length is at the most awkward stage ever right now... where I can’t wear it down because it’s a little past my shoulders and just doesn’t fall right, but wearing it up it’s a very small top bun. I just want to not be able to put it up at all, put a little product in, and go on about my day. Wish you were closer to me!

For the love of god, please tell me you have trained some people who work in the U.S., and how can I find them. I need someone in Maine or New Hampshire or Massachusetts. I can't find a salon where anyone takes this attention to detail and doesn't use a bucket of goo to force your hair into some shape. I think it's partly because I am not a young hottie ( I had my day, believe me) and they don't really want to be bothered with older people. (It's true, and sad.And mean. ) And partly because they don't really give a damn.

True technique in cutting has to be learned. The basics are really all that is taught in the cosmetology schools. A great hairstylist has apprenticed under a master stylist with good technique. And continues with continuing education like any other profession. This is not stressed in this country. In Europe apprenticing is part of the process to even become a stylist. Likely it takes too long for people now.

Adam, while almost finished with the cut, ask your client to shaker her head (a good side to side shake). You’ll me amazed at what happens and what you see. Finish the cut. Then when almost finished styling have client shake her head again. This really gives the stylist a good idea of what the hair is gonna do... how the hair is going to fall. That’s my tip of the day. You’re all welcome! 😘🤪🤷‍♀️❤️😬

I love the way you cut hair! I've been watching you for quite sometime. I have been cutting hair for 25 years on and off! I love the artistry of it all, and creating something beautiful to make someone feel beautiful!!!! But I've been having horrible nerve issues with my hands now and cant do hair that often. I'm a retired athlete and musician. I've really used my hands over the years and now I dont have much feeling in them after doing hair for a long period of time.
I know you are in Australia, but my dream would be for you to cut my hair. I've used alot of your techniques in the past!
