This is probably what many thought mirage’s parkour should have been, still the same system given restraint, but return of some classic mechanics, shame it’s achieved by mod, but better this than not at all.
@@michaelm1221no, this was exactly the expectation for mirage, but nonetheless the vid is great I’m judging it as the best hands down. Hopefully they drop an update to make the game like this if they care to, or maybe we’ll have to wait for the next ac game for them to really care, and if the next ac game is not like this, then I won’t care anymore. (I’ll still play it)
Nice clip! Very smooth. The mods clearly show that Ubisoft could give the community what they need. A basic parkour as initially in the game for new and casual players and more advanced versions for skilled players. Would be great if we could choose in the game settings between different skill levels for parkour, stealth and combat.
That’d be optimal but I kinda doubt it, at least for now. The way the mod works, it’ll take quite a bit of change to allow for button and function customization, unless they do it differently. Given that the eject update wasn’t even a toggle option and that’s just one function, this will take considerably more effort to work in, the mod has nearly 30 functions now.
Console players are gonna have to be real loud for that to happen, just the other day someone reposted my demo for manual jump on Reddit and that post sunk like a stone. A fair bit of players probably don’t even know this was updated until I made the videos, heck even I didn’t know until I accidentally checked nexus. Last time the community really pushed the mod to the forefront and got Bordeaux’s attention, it’ll probably take the same again for a chance of it happening again.
@@esiokles7623see I don’t believe that. Just look at the gameplay differences between ejects and manual jump, while ejects are great, as it is in mirage be it the official update or mod, it’s definitely an “advanced” technique that requires some planning and roughly knowing if there are valid holds, which your average player during normal gameplay will not easily use. With manual jump, as you can see here and previous demo, you’re mostly looking at an object and initiating the jump because you see where you want to go, that’s easily readable and drastically changes the tempo of movement. There’s no way for players who cares about eject and not manual jump. I think many people just got caught up in the trend of asking for ejects, and then they got it, praised the heck out of it, and then the momentum is gone cuz it’s kinda like a closed chapter/mission success already
While it might feel fluid when playing... the parkour still looks... off. And I mean very off. It straight up looks weird. If people say Arno is on the moon and he gets sucked onto buildings, Basim is on a whole different level. 80% of the jumps it feels like Basim gets vacuumed and they are unrealistic AF, even worse than Unity. Yeah sure, Unity is unrealistic and vacuume-ish as well but at least it's easy on the eyes. Mirage straight up looks weird. They tried to make Valhalla's parkour good, and I still don't feel like they managed to do it. I mean just look at 5:10 WTF IS THAT
I'm having a great time with mirage, they need to give full budget on Bordeux for the next AC and polish the overall movement mechanics and that's pretty much all we need

sprint+parkour in game mapped to RT, swing up/down map how you’d do it in unity, eject height map to RT as well (though not optimal), eject down LB+RT, manual jump all three map to original parkour button, jump target height and down map to dpad up and down, jump down map to dpad left, jump down neo is RT+Y, bar turn map to left stick down (though the script has been malfunctioning more lately for some reason). That’s pretty much it, I also do slowmo on right stick down and speed up on left stick down.
The strides still look so odd to me, they seem too fast, its unnatural, and I wish there was a animation for long precision jumps ac3 had them, why not here too, but other than that it looks awesome
Oh that’s right, I should probably post something for that huh, although I think I’ll count this as it, takes quite a bit of effort for a long run like this 😂

Loving the diverse use of new tech thanks to the mod, I think including more classical ejects would be nice but they are quite clunky in such a long run, nonetheless, great stuff showcased here. 牛逼💪

At 1:17, The parkour was so good that someone phased through the roof to watch Basim 👀😂
Wil ubisoft add manual jump in like they did the other mod
Doubtful if you ask me, it’s more complicated to implement than eject mod and it’s also not catching much attention at the moment
Can’t imagine it’d be that difficult if a modder can do it and for some reason not an entire game development team.

The off feel of mirage is still there because of the beam pacing, ac1 through unity has correct beam pacing
unity most definitely does not, it’s way too easy to trigger awkward unrealistic beam hops, which syndicate had to fix.
