Back at it with another episode of Curb Appeal! Today we are recreating this beautiful Modern Coastal Cottage and we are building on the Domus Familiaris lot in Brindleton Bay. This house is perfect for a small and growing family of 5. The interior decor is in a transitional phase as the kids are growing up and the parents are slowly trying to upgrade their furniture since their kids aren't babies anymore! Plum bella said she was working on the kit while hsy was in development and that she wanted the hsy neon mirror in the kit but they told her that it was already in the pack so she came up with that puddle mirror.
So I think they had matching in mind
Loved this one!! Obsessed with the kids’ rooms! And totally agree, high school years is like the best haha but seems like pastel pop goes with it super well!
Love this, I always struggle with making family homes so watching yours are always such a massive inspiration! As for kits, I really like them cos they're cheaper and easy to pick and choose which ones you want. Also, I never thought about it before but makes sense that they could be stuff that didn't necessarily make it into expansion/game pack!

I love the build and I have used quite a few of your builds in the past. Your theory makes sense about kits being leftovers from the packs.
I do think it makes sense that some of the kits were items that were cut from packs👍🏻 Also, in reality it does make sense to spend more time on the kids rooms then the parents room. Because, I think generally the parents are working or doing chores and aren’t in their room a lot unless they’re going to bed. Where as, the kids would be in their rooms to sleep, do their homework, play, and relax. So, to me it makes sense to spend more time on the kids’ rooms👍🏻

You've absolutely nailed this build, it's gorgeous! I am also now 100% team trampoline! My cousins had a HUGE one, and one year we all camped out on it.
I had a trampoline growing up and camping on it was the best to stargaze before sleep. Would also help fill up the backyard space.

Love this build!!! Honestly, yes. I think that conspiracy is completely fathomable. Makes complete sense to me and definitely seems like something the sims team would do. Smart move in my opinion.
I have to agree that I have really liked the past few kits - still feel they should be a bit cheaper.

And i think about your theorie of the kits being items of expension packs, that this could be really possible. Maybe the everyday clutter Kid is a collection of items from a new generations pack? 🧐
Great build, as always. I 100% think that kits are leftover items. It makes sense. You pointed out country kitchen and cottage living, the same could be said for other kits as well. I like kits, they are okay. Blooming Rooms, for example, is my fave, but the clutter one could have been better. The items are great but there are so many other clutter items that would have worked as well... I do think kits are pricey for what you get but idk. I buy the build kits anyway but not the cas ones.

Great build 😊 as for children and toddlers there legs are morphed and glitched and they float in the air on my ps5. Until there fixed I don’t have them in my main household. High school years cas and build mode items have so much to choose from . As for the going to school it’s a let down , same as university also a let down .as for kits I like them cause I’m on ps5 we don’t have cc and mods and I wish we could get a urban gear in kits .

It seems more clay like, kinda more intense shadows-it’s something that look’s different from other simmers/what I remember mine looked like. Basically, what graphics settings are you using/are you using a filter to get it to look like that? 🤣
That theory does make sense 🤔 although I do know that the pastel pop kit was a collab with Plumbella and the idea and swatches was created by her but as for the rest of the kits it def makes sense

Really great recreation and beautiful house.
It is really weird to me that everyone always makes dining rooms with just the right amount of chairs for the family because everyone I knew growing up always had a table with at least six chairs or if they had six people they usually had one of those extendible tables and at least eight chairs. So everyone had enough space at the table for the family and a couple of guests.
Even when the living room was quite small.
I don't know, maybe people do try to just have the right amount of chairs at their tables now...? But it weirds me out in big houses especially if they have big or multiple living rooms.

For sure I buy into the conspiracy theory that they create packs with leftovers. Work smarter not harder 😏. Also, as a programmer I can tell you that reusing code makes thing exponentially easier.
