Very good tutorial. What's throwing me off is that you only have two columns for related notes, suggesting each note can only have one note related to it, when we all know that's not a likely scenario. Also, while it's easy to decide what note is related to another when you only have 5 notes, but when you have 2000 notes, how are we supposed to know what is related? What am I not understanding about this aspect?
You can select as many notes as you like in the columns, not just one so it's possible to relate as many notes as you like. I'd generally suggest when adding a new note, to relate it to any notes that make sense. Over time, you can build it up and add more relations.
I have a note taking system within the second brain that shares a lot of the same features but you can't relate notes together currently within that system. 😊
Really great videos. Helping me out a lot in designing my own Notion workspace. Is there a benefit to having the tags as a relation property instead of a multi select? The end result is the same, right? Within each tag category, a linked view of the notes filtering by either the relation or the multi select. Or am I missing something? Thanks!
You could do it either way but the main benefit of doing it using the relation property is, because you have a separate database for the tags, you can create dedicated pages for each tag as I did in the video which just bring up those notes. :)
This is really one of the best videos out there about Zettelkasten in Notion. Keep doing this good work and you will blow up!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it 😊
I’d love to get that template!!!
Great tutorial. I've watched many Zettelkasten for Notion tutorials and this has been the best by far. Nice work!
Glad it was helpful!
Bravo. That was time well spent. You did a great job, thank you.

@@creative_cove Thanks for the reply 👍🏽
Hi!Do you have this Zettelkasten method incorporated into your 2nd brain template?? Thanks!
I have a note taking system within the second brain that shares a lot of the same features but you can't relate notes together currently within that system. 😊

@@creative_cove thanks for the reply! yes, being able to create those pages is easier with a relation property, absolutely right. Thanks!
