I love the way that you embrace simplicity to leverage the maximum power from Notion. After using Notion for many years you have instantly become my favourite ambassador for how to maximise productivity using Notion. Your skills and insights are incredible! Please keep up your super awesome work and excellent videos.
SORT OPTIONS. Circa 3:20. After you add the Type properties, you can go up to where it says "Sort ........... Manual >" and change it to "Alphabetical" or "Reverse Alphabetical". Then whenever you go to select a Type type, you can choose from an alphabetical list. Right?
CC, Thank you for another great tutorial, as others have said you have a gifted way of passing on knowledge in a straight forward way. I have learnt a lot from a lot of your work. This Notes template I have put to use in my ever growing Notion system and Notes now sits in 2nd place under my Journal page on my home page. I have now passed your channel on to my Sister who is keen to adopt Notion. Also with this Notes page, I can now give up using "Simple Notes" app as I can now take a note quicker than I used to in SN and not have to copy/paste it over to Notion
SAVE TO NOTION app users: Be sure to set up the Save To Notion form to write to the template made in this project. The option in the app's Template property.
OMG! Thank you for this tutorial! I recently set up your tasks list template as well and this works so well with it! I've also adapted this template for university and was able to filter what type of google docs file i was working on.
I may or may not have a use for this, but I like "building" stuff. I bought the very first Netscape book that was printed circa 1995, learned HTML from the bottom up, and only made web pages from scratch. Thinking is good fun. : )
I was born lazy, I guess...At circa 25:50, when creating the Life Zone templates, you can apparently just highlight all of the original Recent setup on the "home" page (both sets of titles, division lines, and lists), then paste them into the Zone pages. ... Worked for me. : )
Ok I cannot find the properties. When I added the two lists recent and recent web clips , it’s not showing properties when I try and add, I’ve been trying for days to figure out
When you added the list view block, did you select the notes database that we already created? You may have selected a new database instead of the existing one. Otherwise, if you did select the notes database then you should be able to find all the properties by clicking on the three dots within the database then 'properties' and you will find them there. You might need to unhide them.

Eating a bowl of Cheerios while watching your vid and creating the template. Multi-tasking at its best. : )
Longest I've ever taken to eat a bowl of cereal. : )
Wait. What? LOL. Around 5:00, WHERE did your emoji pop-up come from? Is that something you created with your fave emojis?
Ahhhh...OS shortcut? Windows Key + . ?????
I think it's a Mac feature. It's in my menu bar, Edit > Emojis & Symbols. Not sure where to find it on Windows :)
Another unbelievable video,
Thank you! :)
