HWFC are looking for away kit sponsors. If you know anybody who may be interested please get in touch. Thanks also to copa90 for showcasing us for a second time
You guys got a supporter from Canada. One of the things that drew me to the game as an outsider was the grassroots type stuff, and seeing a club being created by regular everyday people is awesome. So I'm gunna follow Hackney Wick! Good luck for the future lads!
Portsmouth are a great example of a fan ownership being successful. im sure you are all aware of what happened with us and our demise but since, us, the fans took over the club a couple of years ago we have managed to raise £250,000 to help our academy and build our own training pitches and various other things for the training ground. And we are also now debt free after clearing all of our debts left by previous owners a year ahead of schedule too and hopefully we are also now back on the up on the pitch too! #PUP
Copa90 and Spencer should try and get this on BT or Sky as I think this series is structured more like a TV series then a UA-cam series if you get what I mean
My local team, Oakham United has started there campaign in Step 6 of English Non-League football. A league called the UCL and we were promoted into Division 1 after winning our league last season. The club is only 5 years old, fan owned too, but already has a huge history, made even bigger now by being the first team from the county of Rutland to be in Step 6 since, 2006. We do not have state of the art facilities, and we keep our rural aesthetic with the look of our ground, The Sterling Meadow, with wooden stands and wooden dugouts. We barely around 100 supporters to come watch the games, those which do are usually associated with the club through a friend or family. Our players do not receive a wage, which other teams in our league do offer, so it shows we have a loyal and committed set up here. I am the club's cameraman and editor for OUFCtv, which was formed last season. It is something I too do for free and love doing, going home and away with the team and recording lower league games. This far down the leagues football is very old school football.
it's brilliant to see fans saving their club at any level, I'm a heart of Midlothian fan and our club has basically went through the same thing we even had our rival fans trying to scupper the take over process and considering how expensive Edinburgh is I feel we've done incredible so far with almost 9000 fans paying varying amounts by debit each month. I think the rail is a great little show and would love it if you could feature my club on it at some point, keep up the good work spenny boy 😉
You know the Hackney Wick FC founder said that there was no football team in Hackney, so he decided to set up the team... I just googled the team, and it turns out that on 25th July they played a friendly derby match against a team called Sporting Hackney FC. Apparently, they're celebrating their 30th anniversary this year...?
I live here in the states but I'll be supporting hackney wick fc. It's great to see clubs being formed by the fans. Makes watching football so much more enjoyable.
Just wanna say what a top guy. Using sport to have a positive impact on his and those around him, lives. Something i think we can all agree is an amazing thing. To look at him, a brother with a crime record and yet he's doing more for his community than ANY councillor in a suit.
Interesting and informative, as ever. Thanks for promoting football outside the PL unlike bloody FIFA and SKY. We're so lucky to have clubs in nearly every town and city in the UK, each with their own proud history.
Guys please come to Portsmouth! Our club is owned by the fans and I'd love for it to be on the show! We, the fans, are the heart and soul of the team and I'd love for my loved team to be on the show!
Pls come to hereford and find. Fans support this team so much especially the fact that a new club has been made as the old one was destroyed by a terrible owner
FC United is a the future of proper football, have to say though, I went to watch them against my local team in their old stadium, was half empty, was quite dissapointed lol got some good banter thought.
Can you do a video on the problems of football in ireland. Eg They have dropped massively in the uefa association rankings and world rankings in the last five to ten years and have done terrible in recent qualifying campaigns. There is also a massive problem in the fai as it costs around twenty thousand euro to compete in the league system, the winners of the premier division only recieve about 100,000 euro and the head of the fai, John delaney is paid over 300,000 euro a year.
I support Clyde in the Scottish 2nd division who are fan owned, and we are now one of the few clubs in Britain out of debt. I think it's great for the club and it attracts more higher league players to come and play for the Bully Wee.
You should cover the story of KV Mechelen. Their fans saved the last Belgian Europa cup winner 12 years ago from bankruptcy with a fundraiser in which they asked every fan to give a 1000 euro's and it worked, but the club had to start in a lower division. They returned quickly and became a steady mid table team in the Belgian pro league. Now they are renewing their stadium financed largly by the fans. It really is something unique
Hey Spencer. Come to my local club Hereford FC. A team ran and supported by the fans. 6 months ago, Hereford United were wound up in the High Court over tax debt as Hereford United were thought to be in debts of £116,000. Since then, we have created a new team with along side ex Hereford united players such as Joel Edwards, Ben Miller, Rob Purdie and many more local lads coming from Hereford's youth system. We now play our football in the 10 divison i.e. Midlands Football League, and have sold over 1,130 season tickets. 9 years ago, our club went from division 3 to divison 10 because of bad owners taking money out of the club for their own terrible use. We Have Our Club Back, and I can't wait to see what this exciting and emotional season will offer me. Come On You Whites!
Omg my best friend is in the Grimsby Town section we love you Grimsby we do oh Grimsby we love you 😀thnx for including Grimsby Town#operationpromotionworked 😀
James Mathie from this video actually came down and helped make my local team banbury united become a supporter owned club fantastic guy helped us save our club
Should visit Dunfermline! We are a team who were on the brink of liquidation through poor management by the owners. However as a result of not just our fans but other teams fans and the local community we have managed to turn our misfortunes around and are on the path to reaching the place where we belong. We are producing a wealth of young talent and giving players opportunities they may find difficult to get elsewhere.
I have to say the lack of derbies are a huge miss. But the way the club is being run nowadays is a model more and more Scottish teams should be taking. Cardle is a fantastic signing like!
I'm all for the fan owned club thing, but it's not really the future of football, I mean if anything international millionaires ownership is the future of top football rather than fan ownership which usually resides in lower leagues
Fan owner clubs are the future. Just look at the Bundesliga, it's a rule that 51% of the club must be owned by fans and it's a healthy business model. The game over there isn't ruined by money because they have low ticket prices and it's still about the fans.
I love fan owned clubs, but the modern game without a clear budget is a tough with this new TV deals been thrown around. Wish them every success though. Would mean a lot to see them in the championship or the PL.
u guys should come up to Glasgow to see Rangers FC. Got liquidated and are going back up in the championship atm, and have been all games(8) unbeaten this season
Have a look at the pitch visit notts county we have had a new type of seed been put in that makes is faster for the ball as a surface at 26mm long green patterned and installed sprinklers.
Yes. You can go on the website and contact us direct or get in contact with bobby niaman.hackneywickfc@gmail.com. We are looking for away kit sponsor if anybody interested
Ffs this would have been an ideal video to feature Wycombe Wanderers who are fan owned and were seconds away from pulling off what has to be one of the biggest one season turnarounds ever!
Could of used my club, but whatever. Fan owned. From winning something at wembley, to fans saving the club at the last minute, to the harsh treatment from the FA, to, now battling up again from the leagues. Big story for a fan owned club, and they missed out on the story, ah well.
Grimsby were beaten by bristol rovers but played well on the day and only one poor kick ruined it for them and rovers won. I was happy as I an a BRFC fan but I still want Grimsby to do well in the future
you guys please come to India and see the madness of building next football super fans... visit Kerala Blaster, ChennaiyinFC, FC Goa, NorthEast United, Athletico de Kolkata and my favourite Bengaluru FC...
I am a fan of the greatest football team in Cumbria Workington AFC and the fans of fcum are the most unloyal football fans in the world I asked one "whose your striker," and he said don't know I am only hear for I am only hear because this week I can't afford to go to old Trafford. Also on the last game of the season when we were at my home ground when our right back gari rowntree scored they started tho gob at him and yell abuse at him calling him a pagan for he is a local Lad and every one from outside of Cumbria thinks we are all pagans

Hackney Wick FC Why don't you get Campo Retro? They'd make awesome kits for you :)
I can sponsor you, £10 a year

Exeter is the best example
1st guy seems like a great bloke
Copa90 and Spencer should try and get this on BT or Sky as I think this series is structured more like a TV series then a UA-cam series if you get what I mean
Why they are the people that make football all about the money
Josh Pyke The game is built around money, just the way it is
Josh Pyke I just think it will be a step up maybe even put it on ITV or BBC if they don't care about the money
thebeareatfood most things on this channel are TV WORTHY
Good on that Bobby guy for doing something positive in his community

Omg! I live in Oakham and play for Oakham united under 12s! Good to see my fellow Oakham people! Good to run into you mate!
it's brilliant to see fans saving their club at any level, I'm a heart of Midlothian fan and our club has basically went through the same thing we even had our rival fans trying to scupper the take over process and considering how expensive Edinburgh is I feel we've done incredible so far with almost 9000 fans paying varying amounts by debit each month.

Not visiting Pompey was a huge miss

I live here in the states but I'll be supporting hackney wick fc. It's great to see clubs being formed by the fans. Makes watching football so much more enjoyable.
Imagine if the big clubs were fan owned. Ticket prices would be down and they could decide transfers. We can only wish
We (Grimsby Town) raised £110,105 at the end! fantastic effort for a non league club! UTM!!
Lincoln City are still better than Grimsby
Kian Simpson yes but Lincoln have no money. Boston United is where it's at. Yes I know both Lincoln and Grimsby beat us pre season
Kian Simpson no there not
Grimsby are far better than Lincoln
kez has it spot on UTFM
Just wanna say what a top guy. Using sport to have a positive impact on his and those around him, lives. Something i think we can all agree is an amazing thing. To look at him, a brother with a crime record and yet he's doing more for his community than ANY councillor in a suit.
Great to see my home town club Grimsby being recognised by Copa90. Keep up the good work guys and up the Mariners!

I always ask this when fan ownership comes up, what if your club doesn't have enough fans? Or enough fans willing to put a lot of money in?
Hey Spencer. Come to my local club Hereford FC. In all seriousness hurry the hell back up to championship, miss the Fife derby, also Cardle is an amazing signing for you guys.

I have to say the lack of derbies are a huge miss. But the way the club is being run nowadays is a model more and more Scottish teams should be taking. Cardle is a fantastic signing like!

You should do a piece on the new fan owned Hereford FC
I'm all for the fan owned club thing, but it's not really the future of football, I mean if anything international millionaires ownership is the future of top football rather than fan ownership which usually resides in lower leagues

Great content lads, properly inspirational!
Hey guys! This Sunday, in Poland, you should go to the big match. LEGIA WARSAW will be competing with Wisła Kraków in stadium in Warsaw.

Good on Grimsby, My beloved Bristol Rovers boys were the ones who beat them at Wembley.
The Rail is fucking great!
This is actually sick, I'm a Hackney Wick fan!!
I love fan owned clubs, but the modern game without a clear budget is a tough with this new TV deals been thrown around. Wish them every success though. Would mean a lot to see them in the championship or the PL.

Liverpool is pure banter
LfcReviewKing i agree horrible joke .. it cant match joke called liverpool....
Even with loads of fans doesn't mean there fan owned or anything, you've got some wealthy owner who splashes cash for fun, which poisons football
You never win anything
Talk about the importance of history including the allams trying to change hull city's name and the colour change at Cardiff etc
Nothing better than being Fan Owned (Wycombe) how football should be
Have a look at the pitch visit notts county we have had a new type of seed been put in that makes is faster for the ball as a surface at 26mm long green patterned and installed sprinklers.
My club Newport County are now fan owned!!!

Fan owned. From winning something at wembley, to fans saving the club at the last minute, to the harsh treatment from the FA, to, now battling up again from the leagues.
Big story for a fan owned club, and they missed out on the story, ah well.
Portsmouth? We have owned our club for a couple of years, due to the supporters trust but it seems to always go under the radar.

Almost 1,000,000
I wish local clubs like this existed in the US
Honestly, if the US had a passion for football, they could have a league within each state and then a national Champions-league like event. There wouldn't be any lack of investment because it's the U.S. Sadly, the interest just isn't there.
Interestingly enough, it's not really just the lack of interest that makes football small in the US. American TV networks have purposefully suppressed football because it offers less chance to host commercials. Where american football or baseball have long pauses throughout the games (allowing for advertisement slots), the only real chance for advertisers in football is before the game, half-time and after the game, meaning football is so much less profitable.
Yes I'm on it 7:15
Is Hackney Wick rhyming slang?
