Great info here. I have been struggling with the over run on the fall. New to Bait casters got some advice of brakes at 0 and just use the tension and thumb. I need to get to the no thumb level. I think this will help a lot.
Practice with 50% brakes and a little extra tension and move around from there is what I'm doing. One thing I see causing backlashes is me casting way too hard regardless of proper tension/brakes and just ruining the cast in general.

You can really use any baitcaster in saltwater as long as you wash off the reel and the internals inside the reel with freshwater afterwards that's what I do and I haven't had any problems at all.
KastKing, I do want to bring to your attention that the braided line yardage for this reel on your website and on Amazon are technically wrong. it says it holds 140 yd of 10 lb mono and 110 yd of 12 lb mono but then has totally different yardage capacities listed for 40 lb and 50 lb braid. Which would technically be their equivalent diameters just thought I should bring that to your attention you may want to fix that for customers that aren't aware of that.
@@mikermoyles yeah I got all the monofilament equivalent millimeters and their lb test numbers memorized for braided line so I can just look at what the website says and tell if it's wrong I recommend any fisherman do the same just so that they're aware of this issue.

Greece I use my sharky III in the sea ent is top quality I cacth my pb barracuda 4. 30kg with no problem.. I won't to ask because I leave in Ukraine half year ent half year in Greece ent the 2 markets are big in fishing du you need any field testers? I have a UA-cam channel ent I can geve feedback on the products ..... Thanks for the quality ent your work
By slow it means slow enough where the spool did not move forward any after the lure reached bottom . He's using a heavier lure so it's gonna drop faster than a lighter lure .

This is My 6th Kastking Reel. I just paid $33 on Amazon for this reel. A no brainer.

I found this out the hard way yesterday myself ..... I also had an issue to where the line spooled mainly on the right side
