Dennis explains everything in such a calm, down to earth manner that it makes me feel like knowing to ohm out a distributor should be a more frequent occurrence. As for color - any of the High Impact colors would be fine.
Oh Boy, This is going to be entertaining.... Team Taylor rocks the park and really knows how to entertain as well as race... I love it !!! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL !!!
Dennis, I'm 58, and I have learned so much from you. Even the stuff I know how to do, I still see another approach. I also feel bad for Mrs. Debbie, trying to keep up with you. You make me laugh so hard. I tell you what, If I had it, I would spend good money to spend a week in the shop learning from you, because it would be hands-on and the education would be priceless. Keep up the great work.
Dennis an old windshield replacement friend showed me how to remove a windshield using the exact tool that you have, BUT he would heat the cutting blade up with a propane torch first, so you don't have to pull that hard.
Dennis love the content/your new yt channel. Its all been so informative you have such a vast array of automotive information an you have an excellent ability to explain the information to all of us viewers. Also as trivial as you & others might find some of the information like the windshield removal/installation I and id guess many others have never replaced a windshield aswell as the chrome trim. Ive always wondered how the trim is held into place & how that tool was actually used to remove the trim ive seen others have that tool aswell as the actual windshield removal tool but they never really showed it being used &or explained anything about it aswell as you did.. I now know how Alex aquired her automotive skills she had such an excellent 24/7 teacher her entire life.. Keep up the amazing content Dennis camt wait to see more from you & your channel..
@hotrodsbydennistaylor Your very welcome Sir.. & Thank you an the whole family for everything yall do & for yall giving us all excellent automotive/racing content..
Chrysler rear ends are different if you’re unfamiliar with them. They have a floating spacer in the diff, you put driver side in first. Then you put in the passenger side which is adjustable. The axles but together against the spacer in the diff so you can adjust out the end play, I’ve never had to replace a wheel bearing on any Mopar I’ve owned.
Next time leave the tapered bearings, they are vastly superior to any ball bearings. The preload adjuster is located on the right hand axle. Adjusted correctly, there will be minimal to no end play in the tapered bearings.
If there was a Dennis Taylor University, he could take my money, watching him walk around and work as he talks through what he is doing is far superior to just about any sort of education you can find.
I sure hope you keep these videos going I watch every one I find. I just love watching that 55 go down the track, you have a great racing team going there. Hope you can keep her going.
I've done hundreds of windshields, but I still think it's great that ya show some basics like the trim removal and glass cut out, since there's bound to be at least a few viewers who haven't done it, or have been too scared to attempt it themselves.
Your whole family has an excellent relationship I love the back and forth banter and commeradery. Would have paid money to see you and Alex in Jump Suits
the brains behind the whole operation...........DENNIS TAYLOR.....keep it up sir.....i subbed right after you put the channel up...from san gabriel valley originally now a resident of newton kansas...i miss going to Huntington beach...
Dennis..I have been involved with your content for a long time..Today..oct. 24...is the firist time I struck Flint !!..sister golden hair backing music..well done, sir. I was stationed in England..East Anglia..with the Intel Service of the All Intel Service..I had a band..Country Generation..when America came out, I , and the band, was most impressed.a band of US highschool students..breaking out in London..My band was fully on board!!!!!
Guys as a lifelong F1 fan & Muscle car worshipper here in the UK it’s so great to see The USA embrace Formula one & all that goes with it! Nice project!😎❤️
Oh my god we got go fast and be pretty over here!!!!! We missed you kiddo!!!! But just know we love your mom and dad too so you better keep running around the shop smiling!!!!
wonderful video i have not seen one of those cuda s in years! grandpa liked only certain dodges -the rest were a pain in the butt-it also depended on what part of the car he had to work on. good job debbie!- david from arkansas
Great video I like how you explain everything and show different things like the windshield and some people like you said don’t know about the Wilwood brakes. I bought a master cylinder kit and a brake pedal kit. Same thing look like the box have been open half the parts missing column oh yeah, we take care of it never took care of it, no more will break for me. Great video. Can’t wait till the next one.
Note on footwear should be using shoes without laces they take too long to get off and the laces trap hot bits ..also learned from bad experience DO NOT WEAR SYNTHETIC SOCKS COTTON OR WOOL are ok but any synthetic material melts into your flesh causing sever burns ..have scars to prove and that wound took a really long time to heal
I had just come home from work and was pouring a cup of tea at the edge of the counter. The boiling water splashed off the spoon, went over the edge of the counter, and landed right inside my workboot. I can attest to needing to get shoes off quickly. Fortunately, I only wound up with a dime size burn at my ankle. 😢 Not the same situation, but it shows the dangers.
Thanks Dennis for splurgin and paying a copywright for some good musics. And its not haand foot, parking ,what ever its AN EMERGENCY BRAKE ,dang it. thank you
I'm old school so I like the American racing wheels they look good on anything and if the car is sliver or charcoal gray they really look good my friend had a cornet RT that was gray with those wheels it looked great I had a turquoise 66 big block 4 speed chevelle with those wheels I kept the wheels when I sold the car and I put them on my 69 chevelle.
I have had a plasma cutter for 30 years. I have a fairly new Thermal Dynamics unit and I use them for what they are good for. Like cutting a floor out of a car. They are the next thing to a hatchet and a chain saw. My ceiling in my front shop is brown from those nasty things. My least favorite tool in my shop.
The Mopar guys will tell you to keep the taper bearing.. the ball bearings today suck and don't last. Birdsong got a few thousand miles out of last set.
Same issue in HVAC industry. Suppliers get returns but don't check the box. Dishonest people swap stuff out all the time. It was always bad in the middle of winter trying to get a families heat back on and you pull the "new" part out and it is damaged or swapped. Shops closed so they have to wait without heat. Then you take it in and they accuse you of trying to rip them off. PEOPLE.... be HONEST. Pebble in a pond ... what you do can affect others way down the line.
I guess you used the force technique to seat that axle in. The old 8 3/4 diffs had an end play adjuster on the other side for the axle bearings and axle end play. Probably that o ring on your sealed bearing was hanging up. You don’t even need it. It seals nothing. You have a grease seal 3/4” away. It would only work if the axle seal failed. To get that bearing, pressed on collar off drill a 1/4” hole through it down to the axle till you just”touch” the axle. Then cut down across the hole with a cold chiseled and that collar will split and slide right off. One good hit with a heavy hammer and the cold chisel that collar splits and no chance of damaging the axle sealing surface. Do the same with the tapered bearing. Remove the cage and rollers and drill the inner race and split it off to.
I'm confused by those numbers. If you've got 1.7 inches of room in the axle housing, and 1.9 inches of stuff on the axle to stuff in there, that sounds like it would bottom out to me.
classic cuda color loved by all, plum crazy purple, and alternately sassy grass green, i want a cuda bad, unfortunately they have blown the value scale
its nice to watch some one else work and run into problems i thought it was just me but you handled it different than i do lots of swear words can be heard untill i figure out thats a wast of time
Hey guys, I closed my shop and have some cool stuff to give to my friends. But Smiley Smullins gave me a Youngblood signed, limited edition poster of Wild Wiley. Would you like it for your shop? Nice picture.
You two together are so much fun to watch. And have taught us alot.
Dennis explains everything in such a calm, down to earth manner that it makes me feel like knowing to ohm out a distributor should be a more frequent occurrence. As for color - any of the High Impact colors would be fine.
Such an awesome channel. Yours too Alex lol.
What a great song choice. Love it.
I'm super excited about this channel! Love Alex and all her fun activities but Dennis is the man!!!
Excellent channel, very educational and very peaceful. Cheers Dennis.
Oh Boy, This is going to be entertaining.... Team Taylor rocks the park and really knows how to entertain as well as race... I love it !!! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL !!!

Great On-Screen energy and chatter. Keep it up guys!
Dennis an old windshield replacement friend showed me how to remove a windshield using the exact tool that you have, BUT he would heat the cutting blade up with a propane torch first, so you don't have to pull that hard.
Loved all the good music during the time lapse
Real music.

Didn't even knew this channel existed Dennis. Now i must watch the COE vids, its been years since ive first seen it

I'm 46 and seriously love the old school background music!!! Made my day!!
Absolutely love your videos! So in depth and good building tips that I’m glad you’re willing to share.
Excellent content and your experience really shows how much knowledge a person can gain if they pay attention!
Next time leave the tapered bearings, they are vastly superior to any ball bearings. The preload adjuster is located on the right hand axle. Adjusted correctly, there will be minimal to no end play in the tapered bearings.
How do you put disk brakes on with the factory tapered bearings? I've always been told you have to switch to ball bearings if you do the conversion.
I learn something every video , thank you Dennis

People need to be able to see where they're going, so a clear clean windshield is a must.
Thanks Dennis 👌
underneath the shelves of gearhead heroes....these are some of the fabricated rearend parts I used to make....wowzer!
Another great video and great collaboration with Alex’s channel
Thanks for everything you share with us
I love to see that your cuda with the trans Am package the fairings all the way around the low profile hood scoops and the wing in the back
The song is a great choice.
This has been a nice refresh/mod.
AS ALWAYS IT'S BEEN A PLEASURE 🎉 ALL THREE OF YOUR GUY & GAL's CHANNELS ROCK🎉
Dennis I say this every time please get the Nova out there and again congratulations on the show
The car has a great stance , good job Dennis
Be good to drill holes in the hood scoop insert to make them a little functional on a hot track
Your whole family has an excellent relationship I love the back and forth banter and commeradery. Would have paid money to see you and Alex in Jump Suits

Came over from Alex's channel. THANX ALEX!
Thanks for the great video.

Thanks for the new terminology Dennis.😂.😂😂
Great fun 🎉 Dennis fixing parts that show up messed with. While the rest of us would still be cussing and sending it back.

You got the "coolest"ole lady ever. You are a blessedman, treat her good.

I just heat the bearing rwetainer in one spot and hit it with the ball end of a hammer. It will deform enough to slide off.
That bearing press was Noteworthy.
best watch on youtube
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 as usual awesome video
yeah... I really like this show..... this show is fun to watch.
Maybe no fabrication , but still good , solid information. Really appreciated , thank you.
Sweet I love mopars

You will see Mopar fans come out of the woodwork! More subscribers too. Just watch and see.
Those are the best wheels for that car
Blacksmith 101.❤

Why would spending time to lace up boots matter? The time people spend on their phones is longer than it takes to lace up boots..
I had just come home from work and was pouring a cup of tea at the edge of the counter. Flip flops 😁
Welding 20+ years & YUP cotton only.
Thanks Dennis for splurgin and paying a copywright for some good musics. And its not haand foot, parking ,what ever its AN EMERGENCY BRAKE ,dang it. thank you

I would leave it factory color it looks good
I would have loved to have had a dad like yours.
Great content thanks for sharing
Love the music brings back good memories
I did changes to many things, and extra parts like your Axle gasket were included, ?? possibly it was for Axle spacing to the rotors??
Plasma cutter would probably be a good upgrade for the shop. I'm about the same age as you (68 model) and know it's hard to get away from old school.
My favourite colour on a Cuda is Plum Crazy Purple
The Mopar guys will tell you to keep the taper bearing.. the ball bearings today suck and don't last. Birdsong got a few thousand miles out of last set.
All the mopar people i know use Green bearings and never look back. I've got thousands of miles while pulling a trailer without issues.
Basecoat, metallic silver, green metallic topcoat.
lets see a video on the retro nova
Finally something up my alley. E body Content . Is that a 340 under the hood ?
I say straight black or a really gorgeous British green
Indefinitely wisdom!
Good luck to the everyone Good to see you too ❤uall ok buby💪🏼🇺🇲🏁🔥
do they make sealed bearings for older cars?
What size wheels and tires did you go with ? You said the originals were 15…did you go with 18s ? Guessing 275s in the rear ?

Did you use a Magum Force front K member, probably should watch before asking I might see for myself
QA1 kit.

Can’t go wrong with torque thrust wheels on 70’s muscle car

I think sub lime green would look great on it but I think they will pick panther pink.
classic cuda color loved by all, plum crazy purple, and alternately sassy grass green, i want a cuda bad, unfortunately they have blown the value scale
Dennis..^I knew that and I'm excited "..😂😂

Yessssss 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Is that a Hemi Orange Cuda?
My dream car 70 Cuda

Dennis I enjoy your Channel but my favorite fabrication is still FF1
