  • Here we make the wheel hubs and add them to painted balsa tires. Once installed, they look great on the Vimy! She's on her own two feet now.

    As always great job 💪
For make easy and clean holes, I recommend you a biopsy punch. They are few different sizes. Many modellers they use them in Poland.

Hi Kamil, Great idea! I never thought of those. Relatively inexpensive too. Please keep sending Polish hints our way. I have a long way to go to compete with you and your countrymen! -Dan

Maybe they are a little bit expensive, but they help a lots of. I bought few of them long time ago and I'm very happy with them.

Thanks, Edward...I may try an Me-410. WWII twin engine heavy fighter so a complete 180 from the Vimy. It's an old kit that is hand drawn so should be a challenge. But there are so many other WWI subjects too. Maybe we should have a vote! Thanks for looking and commenting. -Dan

It's a beauty but expensive. You can get some on Amazon for $15-20USD but I can't say how good those are. Mine...with bits...was closer to $100 USD but it's amazing!
