I just love watching these construction vids coming one after the other. Seeing the current Brightline route being evolved with two new stations, and an expanded route ahead to Orlando, its such a favorite to keep looking after updates like this. Its nearly 2023 where construction is about wrap up, and the future of this line seems bright.
Thanks for the update - always look forward to your posts. Will there be a way from the station to the platform that doesn't use the bridge - For those with a fear of heights? BTW - loved the drone shadow at 6:40
Would say I'm surprised they're using open box structures for the platforms, but then that's cheaper and easier to demolish than solid concrete platforms full of rebar.
Thank you for your videos. How high is the platform edge seen from the top of the rail? Here in Germany, the standard height is 55 and 76 cm. For S-Bahn systems such as in Berlin, different dimensions apply. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
Two questions. First, In Boca, will there be a pedestrian bridge to a platform on the opposite side of the tracks or will trains have to cross over to the station track? Second, I there a list of locations for stations further North? (I am thinking near Stuart) Nice job on all of your documentation of the project.
Yes, there will be a bridge to another platform in Boca, there just hasn't been any progress on it or the other platform yet. North of West Palm Beach, Brightline has only announced the Orlando Station. They are currently investigating opportunities for additional stations to add after service to Orlando begins.
The extra stops plus interconnections at the South end with TriRail (which can connect with MetroRail) are big steps forward, too. They'll hugely expand the number of people who can access Brightline without needing acres of additional parking.
Will there be a express service that stops at only “some” of the stations because with Aventura and Boca Raton it may be that too many stations may slow down journey times.
I think I’m still confused-why at Aventura is there a “high level” and “low level” platform needed? This isn’t a case where a railroad line is on an overpass over another rail line, and they cross at the station…?
@@RoamingRailfan Is this commuter service a brightline service or is it be run by Tri Rail? Given the different platform height I assume it would be completely different running stock and carriages?
Is there a clearance issue with FEC running on tracks with high level platforms? Will all stations have at least one bypass track, on the route shared with FEC?
Regular trains have no issues with the platforms as Brightline positions the tracks farther from the edge of the platform than other railroads since their cars have gap extenders to help bridge the gap. All stations on the FEC will have bypasses for true wide loads.

I take the Brightline everyday as a commuter and I’m looking forward to the additional stops!
This is a mega project that I hope will be well used
BEAUTIFUL!, BEAUTIFUL!!. Thank you Brightline, you are a blessing to South and Central Florida. Love you!!
They’re getting closer every week. Thanks for the update. 👍👍
I’ve lived 10 minutes from this station…. Looking foward to have an expansion on the railroad network around the state
Awesome 🚉
Thanks for the update!
Nice.

Only via the bridge but it will be a fully enclosed structure similar to what crosses over the tracks at their existing stations.

@@RoamingRailfan Thanks
The additional stops will make Brightline a viable commuting option

Brightline is one class act. What a showpiece for our State. Do you know when work on the Orlando-Tampa will begin? And,will Tampa connect to Miami?

The probably will but regardless adding 2 stations would only be a minimal increase in trip times

There are ongoing plans for a separate commuter rail service on the same route from Miami to Aventura.

For clarity, 'high level' and 'low level' refers to the platform heights, not one set of platforms being above the other.
It will be related to Brightline but beyond that details have not been announced.
Is Boca Raton the only station on the route to have a single side platform, one track serving the station?
It will have two platforms
In your last video Brightline received two new train’s. Did anyone say how many days it took them from California to Florida?
About 2 weeks
