When you're having issues finding where the bullets go when you fire, drape a large curtain behind your targets to see where the bullets are going. You can occasionally replace the curtain when it becomes too holy for you to use.
I can imagine people will be confused at the range when you use this thing. Everyone ejects their shotgun shell while you eject it, shake it, and put it back in the gun, AND insert a "not shotgun shell". Nice video as always Matt!
Hey Matt.. you should push the .50 BMG into the watermelon like you did at the end of this video and shoot the primer on the .50 with a .22! BTW, absolutely love the videos, been watching them from way back in the day. Thanks for the great entertainment!
I got super into adapters for a while, I liked the idea of just having one gun that could load almost anything. You can get some 12 ga adapters up to 8 inches long, and I think even up to 20 inches long for certain calibers (there's a rarer 7.62x39 adapter that's long like that). The downside to the longer ones is that theyre usually centered in the barrel by rubber gaskets at the end of it, which isnt the best for achieving accuracy.
The 'survival furniture ' for the single shot 12g is nice. Fits all your adaptors within the handguard/stock. Plus ammo, knife, lighter, etc. The 6in .22 rifled is nice.
So much lol. This was a great one too, getting back near a classic premise, making me laugh at the batshit setups lol, and I know he takes at least basic gun safety precautions so he probably won't get seriously injured, so I can just enjoy the silly and potentially dangerous insanity lol
The point Matt brings up around 9:30 was my first thought. Watch too many CSI type shows and the adapters could def confuse tf out of police and I would assuming there would be no rifling either 🤷♂️
These adapters were all over the place in the former soviet-bloc countries. Most notably a .22LR adapter for 7.62mm pistol round for TT. The problem was, you either had to pave the entire shooting line or have a guy with a hat or something catching all the spent adapters.
The .50 AE to .50 BMG adapter kind of reminds me of the .22LR to .223/5.56 conversion kit for ARs that CMMG makes. Same diameter bullet but much less powder, so it's reasonably accurate.
It's pretty interesting that you're getting fireballs, when you think about it you've kind of got a 28" flash hider on there! Not that it's designed as one of course, but I'd have thought that the fireball would have burned out by the time it reached the end of the shotgun barrel. Wonder how precisely these are machined too; if the little snubby barrel in the insert isn't quite lined up with the bore axis of the main gun, then your point of aim would change depending on what angle the circular insert is placed into the circular chamber at, so even after zeroing your sights for the other calibre it might be hard getting _any_ kind of accuracy out of it. Also, that very last scene with jamming an unfired .50 BMG into a watermelon, that really makes me want to know what would happen if you set it off. Not sure how one could jury-rig something to hit it with a firing pin, but it should be fun to watch.
@@bami2 Shh, don't give them ideas! Seriously though I think not, I'm pretty sure that muzzle devices like silencers or brakes count as part of barrel length if they are permanently attached rather than threaded on. This would be the same, I think.

This is a pretty cool idea. It sounds like something 22plinkster would do.
That's how we get rid of small trees here. Drill hole, insert shotgun shell then plink the primer.
I came here to say this. That's honestly what I thought he was gonna do after he forced the 50 into the melon. I was sad he didn't shoot at it.
Now I feel dumb commenting this a couple hours ago thinking I was original haha - should have checked the comments first!
Exactly what I just commented! Like Matt come on this would be awesome
Mikey needs to be featured more....dude is a trip
never change matt been watching for years gotta love it
It’d be interesting to see a chrono test between those 2 shotguns. Find out if the 28” barrel actually helps acceleration or not.
It likely would help due to the pressure, as there is a fireball at the end, but it definitely doesn't stabilize it or give it the right pressure.
This one was super fun, love it when Matt goes Full Determination - regardless of sketch

That intro was funnier than I was prepared for.
*throws gun on table and then drops it* “K it’s hitting like a foot high.” 😂😂
The 'survival furniture ' for the single shot 12g is nice. Fits all your adaptors within the handguard/stock. Plus ammo, knife, lighter, etc. The 6in .22 rifled is nice.
I love his definition of 180° :P
Allways fun with Mat!
You should put 50 BMG rounds inside items like watermelon and then try to shoot the primer from a distance. That could be fun!
With a 22!
Exactly what I was thinking.
Dammit! I'm 5hrs too late. It has to be done though. 👍
The music caught me off gaurd, everybody in the room was staring💀
It would be interesting to see if the long barrel makes any difference over the short barrel with some ballistic gel.
0:08 WHAT 😂
I laughed my ass laugh when Matt says “okay, I figured her out.” And then proceeds to immediately miss! 😂😂😂 7:15
You must be trying to win the darwin award
You are well aware safety is the number 1 priority right?
I can definitely see you pranking someone into thinking there shooting a caliber they dont expect LOL
imagining a .50 going 'plink' is hilarious lol
Anyone you should be comfortable shooting with is going to check the gun before firing it, only an idiot just takes a gun and fires it willy nilly.
@@poppinlochnesshopster3249 I can see Crispy going with it for hte lulz
Or a guess the caliber game!
12:10 it's like trying to get a pick out of an acoustic guitar 🤣
Every time i watch one of your videos i catch myself just smiling throughout it, youre my therapist Matt lol
So much lol. This was a great one too, getting back near a classic premise, making me laugh at the batshit setups lol, and I know he takes at least basic gun safety precautions so he probably won't get seriously injured, so I can just enjoy the silly and potentially dangerous insanity lol
9:39 you're going to singlehandedly make those cartridge adapters illegal.....
The point Matt brings up around 9:30 was my first thought. Watch too many CSI type shows and the adapters could def confuse tf out of police and I would assuming there would be no rifling either 🤷♂️
Those adapters are rifled
Loved the 22 caliber primer Matt. 😂 Sketchy, but safely is your new middle name, also I'm glad you can still count to ten on your fingers.
Your getting alot more brave shopting these contraptions in your hands
Seems like a good idea and definitely not a poor choice

That intro is next level! I have never laughed so hard in my life 😂
i’m hard
@@sniffingyourbuttcheekswtf
Lmfao hf fr tho 🤣💀
@@sniffingyourbuttcheeksbro😭😭
I think I'd be really interesting to compare the speed of the 50 ae in the barret vs the deagle
The fact that you can turn a 12 gauge shotgun into what I can only call a fast load musket is funny to me idk why lol
Possibly the funniest intro yet 😭😂
As time goes on and Matt gets older, he looks more and more like his dad, Dr. Lee.
These adapters were all over the place in the former soviet-bloc countries. Most notably a .22LR adapter for 7.62mm pistol round for TT. The problem was, you either had to pave the entire shooting line or have a guy with a hat or something catching all the spent adapters.
Bout rolled out of my chair laughing at the intro. Those adapters are pretty wild, kind of cool really.
One of the best episodes.
It would be cool to expand on this if you have the slow mo guys at the range
Nah, Ballistic Highspeed!
More of a throwback to his old videos. Always awesome
Can we just take a second to appreciate the beautiful machining on these caliber adapters?
Crispyyy.
I love Americans. - You are the king of the Demolition!
10:07 Matt has so many guns he's not sure what he has any more lol
You're not a guntuber if you know how many guns you have
The .50 AE to .50 BMG adapter kind of reminds me of the .22LR to .223/5.56 conversion kit for ARs that CMMG makes. Same diameter bullet but much less powder, so it's reasonably accurate.
No offense but I have to say it...
🤓☝️
Jake Hill released that song like a week ago and it's already in a demo ranch video. Absolutely amazing
just wait dixon dallas is gonna be everywhere
20mm with a 12 gauge adapter with a 50AE and so on all the wat down to 22
I felt the tension in my stomach as you closed the shotgun for the last .22LR/.50BMG rigging :D
Its amazing how the intros still stay 10/10
Getting the .50ae casing out of the .50bmg was the exact motions and emotions of getting a guitar pick out of an acoustic guitar
ATF out here:
“Should we send someone to take his shit?”
“Nah, no need, he’s gonna blow himself up before we could.”
12:50 you just went from 25-30 year old to daddy material and back. Wow I see why ya'll wear hats 😆
Jam it in shoot the primer with a 22 🤷♂️ instant reactive target with only a bullseye hit lol
Doesn't this adapter make any rifle into a SBR since the actual barrel isn't a barrel anymore and basically just a heat shroud?
@@bami2 Shh, don't give them ideas!
Seriously though I think not, I'm pretty sure that muzzle devices like silencers or brakes count as part of barrel length if they are permanently attached rather than threaded on. This would be the same, I think.
Luckily Matt is not a mathematician because at 16:55 he said it was 180 degrees but it was 90 from the platform.
5:25
Matt casually "smokes" a pair of .454 Casull bullets while also shooting them seconds later 😂
That's some old-style content. Love it
