Its okay but matt is doing a lot more acting on his channels. I dont think he bought that resort without full well knowing the condition of that building. The monte was probably planted and that slap round skit, he didnt accidently jam that gun its a skit all acted out.

As soon as I saw SLAP round in the title, I had to watch to the end to make sure you guys were ok. Scott's bit though was phenomenal and had me rolling.
Hilarious and even slightly terrifying episode! That is insane that there were serious issues again, with a different model even this time. Even crazier was this time the round was theoretically fine. Whatever the issue, y'all were very lucky that day! I agree with Scott, you don't have enough neck meat for all that 😂
in Scott's slap videos he mentioned the RN-50 he uses specifically has a Machine gun chamber, meaning it's looser than a standard one and that's probably why the round got stuck
@darylshriver8486 Scott's RN50 issue was powder charge related, not a "stuck bullet".
Mark Serbu sent off powder residue from the destroyed RN50 parts for chemical analysis. It's was a very fast burning pistol formulation loaded in the round instead of a slower burning rifle powder.
And it's was likely over charged....with the wrong powder too.
Matt's issue in this video is because very few 50bmg rifles have a properly shaped chamber to load and shoot the saboted lite armor penetrator.
The shoulder of the sabot extends past where the shoulder is of a normal ball round.
I'd have to look again at which few milspec rifles are chambered to fire the slap, but it's many, 3 at most.

We use to get 30cal accelerator bullets which is a saboted 22cal bullet and would use them reloading 30-30 ammo and those little things would demolish stuff for being a 22cal projectile

The AR-50 has been a thing for years. It's a single-shot AR platform chambered in .50 BMG.
The AK-50 already exists, it's the 6P62 in 12.7x108mm.

looked like the penetrator was extended out of the casing too far which lodged too far into the barrel when chambered. SLAP-T rounds Ive used never had penetrators sticking that far out of the casing. They may have pulled it out to cause the obstruction on purpose to allow for the skit, thats my assumption
Definitely the best video in a while matt invite your friends over more though when you can to make a collaboration but also just to have fun those videos are the best

I think the main reason none of these chamber correctly is only the M2HB and a special mod of the M107 are supposed to be able to fire it. At least that's what their wiki pages say.

Dear Demolition Ranch safety guy: Mark Serbu uses a special proprietary chamber reamer in his 50bmg rifles that has a slightly tighter "throat" which leads to slightly better accuracy when using surplus ball ammo and even better accuracy with something like hornaday A-max.... however it doesn't play well with specialty rounds. Anything with a sabot isnt safe because it can slip down into the case when chambering, causing a compacted powder charge which is extremely dangerous.
You're better off using one of those $1500 single shot 50bmg a.r.15 uppers because they use the standard M2 chamber reamer.

Matt! You should get some g-force meters, like the little stick-on ones to measure the impact velocity and the punch that a person would experience from a round. Stick them on the ballistic gel and see which ones trigger. Maybe an idea for another video :)

SERBU chambers are about halfway between military loose chambering and competition tight chambers. they will feed ball and all the normal "special" ammos but slap rounds are fat and require a loose loose chamber.
KB's serbu actually had a special chamber cut and a heavy barrel just to be able to shoot them. Id be pulling the round apart and re checking the powder measure and dimensions before i chamber any slap round.
Holy shit!!! I just realized something. When that slap round got stuck in the barrel, because the sabo is too big, and pulled the round out of the case, that is probably what caused the overpressure in Scott's gun. It may not have been overcharged. It may have been over diameter. Too much resistance going down the barrel and over-pressured, causing his injuries. I think you might have just avoided your gun blowing up.
