Scum 0.7 Can you store your plane inside your base to keep it secure?

- Scum 0.7: A viewer commented on my last video "how about a video about how to store a plane once you find one so that you can keep it". Obviously, the most secure way to store a plane, would be locked inside your base. So we explore whether or not we can build a large enough walled in area in our base to take off and land a plane in.
Thanks Woody.
Thank you for the good suggestion :-)
i have a lad in my gang , he said "Hanzo build a runway" I thought he was mental and laughed it off.
If I show him this vid I'll never hear the end of it sooooooooo , i'm going to steal it off u. hahaha
bah i'll end up showing him ur channel . GJ
Lol, build it first and surprise him. Then afterwards, if you want, you can admit where you saw it :-)
Nice video! I have been wondering if that was possible. One way I think you could increase the landing and take off length is to build an elevated runway, so you don,t have to worry the wall when taking off or landing. Although the ability to place foundations where you want is gone, such a thing should still work using base blocks.
I did build this on a bit of an incline with the same thought in mind. I can still build ramps, which for takeoff work really well. However I am not going to do videos with unintended building glitches.
Solid video man! Knowing the climate of scum meta atm, I have only seen the largest of bases making the effort to grab a plane as they are just too much to handle for most single players! I will definitely use this for single player though
Yeah, the server I play on isn't a high pop server, so it isn't too difficult to get one. But I have crashed and lost more than I want to admit lol
@@WoodySurvives lol haven’t we all! Vehicles are a precious commodity in SCUM but they are all too fragile haha, best not to get to attached am I right? xD
@@HyperLethalNova Facts! lol
The only other thing I'd suggest is literally overlap 2 flag zones to make one huge rectangle area. As you showed us the first flag could be just like this with nothing but a walled in landing area with the second flag being your actual base for storage. Only downside would be the extra cost of repairs and having to check 2 flags once in a while
I agree, that would be ideal. I couldn't land this consistently enough to be comfortable if I weren't in single player
Nice straight forward info on point. You got a new sub, keep it up
Thank you, really appreciate it !
Yes woody!!!! Another fabulous video. 👌 would love to see the out takes 🤣 splat
What are you taking about? I never crash lol
@@WoodySurvives hmm 🤔
🤣🤣🤣🤣💃☠️
FYI, you can spam “F” to get out of the plane as soon as you land and it’ll stop the plane instantly.
I havent tried that. But it's mapped to G in my game, after accidently hitting F mid flight lol
Hey Woody
Great video
Thank you :-)
You are almost as old as my father, i wish he was that cool to play games with me. Lol
It's funny that now my kids are grown, and are too busy to play games with me lol
@@WoodySurvives one is never too busy to play video games XD
Hit F when wheels touch ground, plane stops immediatly
good landing
or just wall of the plane in a box when u log off next of your base
great vid
Thanks, I have been enjoying your content too @ ua-cam.com/channels/pSAH6ryaw7pDjwdOBD_XgQ.html
Nice :D
now do the base diagonally in one flag spot....30% more length
ummm, I would just build over the wall since you put your wall right against the build zone... it would need at least two flags or more to make safe.
Yeah, I feel 2 flags is definitely the best option
wouldnt it be more practical to build a hanger/ garage to store the plain in?
There aren't any doors or gates big enough for the plane to fit through, so you aren't able to lock it behind walls unless you land within those walls.
it would be very easy to build a watch tower at the corner and just jump over.
Yes, could move the walls in some, but to be honest, I would use two flag areas to have more room.
woody i wonder if shorter runway could be used if you had a ramp could be used
For taking off, yes, I have tried that before in single player, and the plane only started about 30 meters from the ramp.
nice vid but the base walls are too close to the flag border an enemy could build next to your wall and jump over it too easy
Good observation, I threw this together quickly, and you are right, the walls are too close to the border. To be honest, you would need two flags to have a large enough area to comfortably land in, and not compromise security
Update this and address it taking only one nade to destroy the plane.
Can you just put two flag zones next to each other?
Yes, that would be the best thing to do, to give yourself plenty of room. However, some servers don't allow a squad to have multiple flags in the same sector. So this was to show it can be done.
I think lock picking needs to be removed
Why is that? Do you feel it is too easy to lockpick, and therefore raid any base?
NOTHING IS SECURE
