I was the rogue at 8:14. I was trying to do the pvp challenge, but I didn't know I had to click the achievement to start it at level 1. So I've now played 13 hours pvp flagged for no reason. Got a paladin killed because they buffed me ;-;

@kyle Borchardt I didn't want to risk this guy being in comms with a level 60. I don't know how stealth radius works when you're much higher level so I didn't want to take any risks. Just took the most efficient route to log out

As a former warlock myself I can say that the perfect level strategy for HC is to send your void on your target (via hotkeys), apply your dots and then use your wand to "burn down" the mob. Always haven an eye on the threat meter and stop attacking when you are close to taking aggro from your void and wait till it got some more. This works perfectly on elite and mobs 5 lvl above you. A bit later the void is perfectly capable of tanking 3-4 mobs when smartly controlled and healed from time to time (always with an eye on the threat meter and controlling your mob).

@@amnesia998 Then you didn't understand the threat-mechanics at all. Only had threat problems on my lock when I nuked mindlessly. If you know what you're doing you have absolutely no downtimes and might also be a tad faster than with drain-tanking. But yes, drain-tanking is also possible, but do that with 4 mobs and you might die this way. My void was perfectly able to hold the attention of 2-3 mobs while the 4th mob had all dots on it and was perma-feared
@@ambridge6645 Actually searing pain is your aggro spell #1 shadow bolt usually only pulls aggro when you spam it and/or crit with it. Especially with high-end gear you often overnuke this way
Experienced tanks will never get feared on Onyxia, those deaths are 100% on the tank. I loled on that boar clip, damn did he smack. Nice channel!

I think no tank had proper aggro after she landed again because you can see she just kept targeting everyone. The dpses definitely fucked it if anything, I don't think it's reasonable to expect a tank to be able to slam huge threat immediately in HC.
GBOK spam threat from prot pal is the most consistent way to keep threat from phase 2 while she's in the air, I used to tank all the time in classic on my chad pally and had more threat than warr tanks until naxx came out

@drafman1 not even, you really should have seen my pally tank, I had crazy ass gear that you would not believe. During phase 2 warriors literally cannot hold threat at all, during which I would be spamming GBOK anyway to build threat on all the whelps in the room with no effort. By the time she landed I would build up an astronomical amount of threat, warrs couldnt keep up at that point with her hitting my holy shield every hit.

These Classic Hardcore breakdown videos are amazing
the rogue pvp clip: Not stealthing was actually brilliant. The other rogue was higher level, and could likely easily find him in stealth. However, just continuing to run ensures the other rogue can't catch up, unless he uses prep+double sprint. And it's unlikely he has prep at this level

And the mage could've saved them so easily. All he had to do was using frost nova the moment the last mobs in front of him were pulled where the entire group was. Just nova, run out, savety. No risk. 100% save for everyone.
Garbage mage doesn't even use mana shield under ice barrier. This mage proves if you really take your time in hc, you can make it to 60 even being this awful.

The BRD pull looked like a classic skip attempt and accidental pull to me and they got served how they should.
The boar didn't crit, they will charge you if they have to run to get to you and do 4x (I think?) damage. Don't run from boars.

It was also a crit. Look at the increased number size.
It can be both. You can see the boar get the sprint and hear it. Then when the player takes the next hit it's a big fat white crit.

Shaman can be pretty sketch with totems. Searing Totem is integral to Shaman sustain.
Paladin is mind-numbingly boring so you'll probably die from watching youtubes on the second monitor.

When there are 3 people there I don't mind waiting my turn but i'm not waiting a hour in line that's bs. However he'd most likely survived this if he didn't, sometimes its worth being a little nice.

@@chc2650 yeah I wish i wasnt this unhappy. Since HC commumity started I rooted for its growth and popularity, but damn I didnt think about how annoying the firsts 20lvl would become.. makes me miss hard layering(which would bring another big problem on its own) :(
@@woner6 Just skip the named mob quests sub level 15. Dont give good rewards anyway and you are faster off doing something else.
