Bullshit. To be a legend, you would first have to make music that would set you apart from the rest, like a genius. It's not just the skill of this kid that amazes me, it's his sheer confidence and energy. I know if I were there I would be standing in the middle of the hall and very awkwardly looking at my guitar, meanwhile he's jumping around like a madman. Ansolutely amazing
Wow. This came up in my feed and I honestly had low expectations, expecting it to be a cute attempt. I was a teenager when Van Halen hit the scene and was the reason I started playing. Phenomenal playing of Eddie’s live solo. I’ve seen Eddie live about 4 times. Your courage and dedication to play like him and give it as a free gift to the school at a talent show….wow. Nobody who heard you except maybe a few of the sports coaches who may have heard you will ever have a clue of what you just did or the work it took to play that, but I do. Keep playing, keep pursuing your dream. In fact, this is just what Eddie did. Don’t give up on your dream or leave playing bc you “have to go to college” or get a job. “Successful people find a way,” as they say. If you want it kid, you got it. Never give it up and Eddie will really be proud.
Wow, just wow. Anyone talking sh*t about this kid is just jealous. This is way just beyond shredding or playing fast or tapping. He captured EVH’s feel and groove while adding his own spin on one of the best guitar solos ever - without a single other musician to back him up - AND have the stage moves and control of the instrument to jump around while shredding his ass off. I’ve seen dozens of videos of people who have played all their lives trying to capture this, and this is easily one of the best. Bravo man, you should be proud!
The genus of EVH was first he understood musically exactly what and how he was doing what he was playing and he could execute it like no one prior because of that knowledge and ability. But his ability to inspire others is legendary and may never again be seen, at least not by my generation, the generation that saw him live in concert, I did it and this young man is destined for Rock Star status if he Perseus it with the same passion and determination that EVH did! ROCK ON BROTHER!!
❤ That's exactly what I was saying. You was reading my mind. He plays like a master. It took EVH years to get it just right. This kid is so unbelievable that if you didn't know the song and who is the guitar God that played it, you would think he wrote it himself. Just WOW, WOW, WOW WOW.This young man is the definition of prodigy. ❤❤❤ Perfection!
Talent is the God-given gift that makes certain things far easier to do than almost everyone else. A didactic memory, knowing how to play the piano from your first touch, the ability to speak multiple languages, and knowing how to shoot a basketball effortlessly without hardly any training are all gifts. One of my little girls could not understand checkers, but her baby 3-year-old sister explained it to her. It's a gift. Hard work hones it, and they become masters at it. It says in the Bible, God speaking to young Jeremiah, "I knew you before I formed you in the womb." He created him to be a prophet. There is nothing new under the sun.
Just to put this into perspective, this KID learned Eruption quite well I might add, his parts that were actually Eruption were clean and well played. He did that then interwove it into his own interpretation and added his own chops. Very well done young man!! 🤘🤘
Absolutely outstanding. Dive bombs are well done, pick scrape is tasteful. Picking clarity is absolutely outstanding. Really all around great display of technique and precision 🎉🎉👏👏👏👏

Freakin awesome. I’d bet if he played this at a talent show 40 years ago I’d say 90%+ would know what he was playing. Now? My guess is 90% of the kids in that school don’t know.
Well, yeah... lol. EVH was a lot more relevant 40 years ago when his band was on top of the world (pun intended). But playing anything that resembles EVH is still very impressive to most people (even if they don't recognize it), so I'm sure a lot of those kids were shocked at what was played. The funniest thing is it's always the tapping that blows people's mind, and tapping isn't even that hard compared to the rest of the stuff LMAO.
Most kids nowadays know that the music of their times sucks, and are listening to dad's LPs.
Facts evh
No shit, that’s kind of how that works
They don't know yet. But their eyes were opened. They'll ask questions and they'll find.out that this kid.played EVH . I remember that someone opened my eyes to this genre and guitar at a young age. Sometimes you do it for the appreciation sometimes u do it for the initiation. Education. He did inspire some and that's the most important.
None of these kids really understand what they probably just saw. This kid will be a legend one day.
Let's hope it's hard for people to find kids like us and know we can jam anytime of day
Nah . Not enough people are in to this anymore
@@michaelquintana1098 shredding specifically no but if he actually uses that capability of moving up and down the fret board for riffs or songs yes it could be something
These are young kids, they don't even know who EDDIE VAN HALEN is. R.I.P. EDDIE THE MOST EXPLOSIVE 🧨 GUITARIST IN HISTORY.............. But this young man another story. He has a bright future ahead of him.
Bullshit. To be a legend, you would first have to make music that would set you apart from the rest, like a genius. As a guitarist he would have to create something really new and not just show off techniques created by others and make extravagant noises, like he does. Maybe in a circus he would be successful.
Standing ovation unbelievably unbelievable that was truly master class at its finest BRAVO I’ll be watching for more of you wow just plain WOW!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
This needs to go viral. Absolutely stunning!!! This kid is total badass!
It is viral 😂
As someone who has played guitar for nearly 30 years can tell you what he did is very hard. It takes months of practice when you are good to memorize that. There are a thousand plus notes in that piece. Well done.
This young man can give the greatest guitar players a run for their money. Excellent job
I'm so proud to be someone who showed Roger a little guitar lesson that got him to do this kinda playing!!!!!!!!! This young man is destined for greatness!!!!!! ROCK ON ROGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanna learn to play like this. Absolutely stunning. Incredible beyond words.
Yo, YOU got him started on thst path? Man, behind every Satriani, every Vai, every Gilbert and Carroll and Claypool is a guy like you, who inspired greatness to be great, and I'm glad you did, because that kid has chops.
absolutely mind boggling how this doesn’t have millions of views. More talent/skill in his pinky toe than 98% of “artists” today
What can his pinky toe do?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@AlltheworldisafamilyHis pinky toe alone can probably play thunderstruck on two guitars at the same time
anybody can be like this guy with years of practice my guy. do you even play guitar? 😂😂 still great none the less. but there are plenty of "talented" people on yt just as good as this guy, or even better. but better is subjectivez
Smoke and mirrors
Every boy in that room Wished they were him In that moment. That was amazing man Keep up the good work
I had to watch this kid twice. Unbelievable. Eddie's riffage will be around forever. This kids dad was a kid when this classic hit the air.
I like to think this kid’s dad put him on to Eddie and the gang, and many other great artists. Maybe not though.
I actually got chills. That doesn’t happen very often, but when I hear true talent, my body just reacts
🎸 Hat's off to you brother🤘 I been Head Banging since the 80s Nothing better then seeing the Youth of today Shredding Sick Riffs Keep on Rocking
Well done. Classic Eddie solo. You can shred
Young man you have made the dreams of all of us old man who wished we could have done this! Keep on rocking!
I have been a rock fan for 45 years and I believe that is the best guitar solo I've seen.
OMFG, this kid is in another galaxy. Eddie Van Halen would be proud as hell. Eruption is one of the hardest solos without words to play. This kid is slaying it. Damn it boy! You have something beyond a gift 🎁 wow, wow, wow
Ya know I am pretty sure even Eddie could take a few tips from this magician fingers don’t move like that !!
@Watching4 umm, no. Those are ALL Eddie's notes. "Watch Live Without a Net" The kid nailed it
I’m a big advocate for music, especially in the rock department and this kid is very talented. As soon as he started doing the eruption solo we all love and enjoy it sent chills down my spine. Flawless!
as a talent show bombshell multiple times if i ever did anything 1/16 as cool as this my youth would have been complete
That was tremendous young man! I’m sure your parents are really proud of you 😎👍🏻 don’t stop! Young Eddie Van Halen
I'm guessing his folks are just happy he's out of the house,, like they've only heard this 10,000 times
@@martyconroy3786þhe son of my is a guitar player tell me about it againagain and again
@martyconroy3786 as a parent, I never get tired of hearing my kid practice his instruments. He improves every day. I'd imagine some kids aren't fun to listen to. This dude is definitely not one of them, lol.
@@austin4x my parent's tolerance level was off the chain, listening to White Room 10,000 times...
I get it
Really I have no words as a guitarrist and kid that was completely awesome
This kid is wickedly talented!!! The audience didn’t realize just how good that performance was.
Bravo! Bravo!!! Restored my faith in this generation a little bit. That kid has mad respect for his elders.
As a old man guitar player I'm going to give you props and say I like the way that you did eruption but added your own style and chose the write notes to end on... Very well done sir I hope you have a long career enriched with music... Don't do drugs. LOL
Of course you do know who Joe satriani is right?
drugs will make u more artistic tho, just dont go overdosing
The fact that he broke out Eruption. That is confidence, and he nailed it too!!
There's no paint left on any walls of any rooms this kid plays in!! Absolutely amazing!!
I so love this...I've watched a few times and am more impressed each time I view. Does anyone else feel the urge to shake the kids nonchalantly walking past in the background and command them to give him their full attention? He so deserves it!
"We're not worthy" Outstanding.
That’s real talent…. Phenomenal young man
I hate be that guy but it ain’t talent, it’s years of dedication
@@bruhbruh3642i hate to be that guy but the kid sucks and nothing he did was difficult to anyone whos actually put in effort to the guitar
Hell yeah! I screamed hell yeah when he turned on the distortion and started playing with the whammy bar!
This kid has rock star written all over him!! Superb.
It's not just the skill of this kid that amazes me, it's his sheer confidence and energy. I know if I were there I would be standing in the middle of the hall and very awkwardly looking at my guitar, meanwhile he's jumping around like a madman. Ansolutely amazing
The 80's are coming back around!! BEAUTIFUL!!!
Eddie was a guitar god.. he insipred so many musicians and still is immesnley inspiring new generation.
Well that was one hell of an improv! Pentatonic along with EVH scale! Amazing job kid! Keep it up!
Not just EVH, but also hints of Dimebag!!! Bringing the dead back to life means they're never truely dead, nor forgotten.
🤘🤘🤘
This kid has shred far beyond his years. This was sick sick
I am in awe, for being a high school talent show, you have no competition. This was phenomenal and you rock.
1. Please tell me he won. 2. Can we hang up a banner for him amongst all those championship banners. The young man is AMAZING!
Well done!!!! A beautiful homage to EVH and Eruption!
Those dive bombs and sound effects at 3:44 - 3:53 were astoundingly amazing!
Good job young man. I have been playing since 1992 and you just made me throw my guitar in the bon fire
Pure genius, musical prodigy! You can choose any record label, any band..best of luck on your musical journey 🎉🎶 🎸
Hot damn that was incredible! Never stop shredding, dude!
Dude major props holy cow. You have some insane skill here
Stay on point young man, this journey will take you far. Make it your own.
I don't know any band that wouldn't snatch him up in a heartbeat. Great performance and very talented young man. Great job 👍
Incredible guitar work and performance! I wish you all the best
A lot of emotional and perfect playing in my opinion, I haven't seen anything like this for a long time and really proud to found this video 👍🏻
This kid has more skill and potential than most people I know who have been playing for longer than he’s been alive.
Well I just somehow accidentally stumbled across this video and I am absolutely Blown Away. Dude that was effing incredible I assume you are in a band? I would definitely like to know what band that is.
Not gonna lie.. that went WWWWAAAAYYY BETTER than I expected. In fact that was just fn AWESOME
Unbelievable. Don't ever stop doing exactly what your doing. Those kids listening have no idea what it takes to get that good at playing an instrument, and it ain't video games folks. Great job!!!
Best talent show rendition of Eruption I’ve seen yet! Great work!!!
Dang kid!! Good for you! You’re playing at the level I’ve been trying to get to for 28 years. Keep rocking man!
I literally just heard the 70s 80s and the 90s of Metal Rock solo ALL IN ONE. Let me know if I missed a decade. OMG Yes
The girl ready to play riptide on her ukulele she bought just for this moment and is not going to ever going to play it again is quaking in her boots rn watching this magnificent wonderful performance equivalent to eddie van halen’s work played by this high schooler who is about ready to start a metal band.
Hey Kid, that was absolutely Phenomenal!!!
I know a lot of Adult Seasoned Guitar Players who couldn’t perform that to even close to the way you just did it. Lots of people can play it exactly the way it sounds on the Album, but you played it the way it was meant to be played without a net, and you killed it.
Eddie never played it live the same way twice. I know because I saw them Live around a dozen times.
Your Parents have raised you right, and I’m sure they are very Proud of you. Be Proud of yourself Young Man, because you are gonna go places with Talent that immense at such a young age. I highly doubt that any of your Class Mates have any idea of what they were lucky enough to just witness in person. That made the hair on my arms stand up. Makes me very happy to see Kids of your generation carrying on Classic Rock N Roll for generations to come. Keep up the Great Work & don’t ever lay that Guitar down!
I wouldn’t be surprised to see some star band recruit him! Absolutely stunning! Yes EVHalen would be proud for sure😎
Always be in tune. I started playing when I was 12 or so. I'm 48 now and play every day. It heals the soul. Keep it up. You rocked that!
This kid's an absolute wizard on the guitar!
AMAZING! I grabbed my first guitar to dream to sound like this in the 90's. I agree that so many people don't know how great this is. What dedication and practice to pull this off. His eyes are closed and knows exactly where he needs to go. You know what you know, and and he nailed it!
It’s simply a person who has DELVED into the BASICS of the Rock Music Genre (the Eruption 🌋 Solo to be exact) & PRACTICED RELENTLESSLY!!!
I truly wonder if he’s gone further with his obvious passion! And if he has, it’ll be great to hear if he’s STILL PLAYING & is SUCCESSFUL!!! Rock On 🤘🏽 My Young Bro!!! Salute 🫡
This.
I love this.
Music this good finds a new generation.
Absolutely outstanding.
After watching this I realized there is hope for our kids ,the parents of this young man have done an excellent job in raising him
Eddie's up there smiling about that tribute, you can be sure! Pretty faithful to a live EVH solo sesh 🤘❤️🤘
Eddie would be proud! Keep on rocking kid! I loved it! I hope Wolfgang Van Halen sees this!
