Carlos Andrés Gómez (HBO's "Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry" & Spike Lee's #1 movie "Inside Man" with Denzel Washington) performs "Gifted" - the poem for his little sister - in front of a sold out crowd in NYC.
Carlos is touring colleges/universities this semester.

Carlitos, I can watch this performance of this timeless poem forever. One of the teachers that works with our students in my class wants to use it for a professional development session with all of our teachers. The session is about students struggling with all of the same issues as Maya.
