Look for her performance of Elvis Costello's I Want You. It's so so so incredible. He's there, too, playing guitar (he covered one of her songs the same night).
I am a Fiona Apple superfan... I've been looking for vocal coaches to react to her! Thank you for explaining some of the possible techniques she is using! Hope you do more
Fiona has changed her vocal approach quite a bit over the years. She used to sing in a rather deep, “jazzy” voice. She’s since moved on from that and depend more on a higher tone, sing-talking and growling. She’s never been a great vocalist from a technical standpoint and has talked about how her voice is more of an instrument to get across the feeling and mood. I’d check out “I Want you” performance with Elvis Costello. It’s one of her best, most affecting live performances. Fiona’s one of the most influential and acclaimed artists of her generation. She was fairly mainstream when she debuted in the 90s but pulled back due to how she was treated by the press, her anxiety and her desire to make the music she wants to make and put it out when she wanted to. I’d check out her albums Fetch the Bolt Cutters, The Idler Wheel and When the Pawn. They’re all excellent.
The First Taste, Sullen Girl, Sleep to Dream, Criminal, Never is a Promise and I Know are phenomenal! Haven’t been able to find many reaction videos to her music. So glad I listened in today! ❤
Fiona Apple is simply one of the most necessary vocalists, songwriters and artists to explore. Her first album written when she was just 17 years old, and SO much stunningly complex and compelling work since. A true artist.
Great video! Fiona Apple is my favorite artist and it was brilliant to hear you explain the vocal techniques she uses. Your lovely accent was a wonderful treat too. I really hope you react to more of her live performances- especially from her newer albums. ❤️
As I gigantic Fiona fan I feel like there a far superior live vocals from Fiona. Check out "I Know' preformed at Largo (I think),, VH1 performance with Elvis Costello has 3 songs she does Elvis's " I want you" (so incredible) they duet on his Shabby Doll and she preforms Tymps. Also her cover of The Whole of the Moon for The Affair soundtrack was recorded in 1 take. Don't get me wrong I love Werewolf but it's where I'd start and doesn't showcase her unique style.
I know you did a Powerwolf reaction before, but if you get the chance, check out some of their songs from their new album "Call of the Wild" :D Especially "Alive or Undead", would love to see a reaction to that. :) Cheers mate!
I would love you to do something on Susanne Sundfoer - there is a lot of brilliant music by her and it is hard to pic a favorite, but Silicone Veil ua-cam.com/video/MCklozgfgq8/v-deo.html is up there -and also "The Brothel" - and probably 50 more good songs - with her unike vocals
Can u do a video where u compare BTS same song but then and now Like spring day , No more dream,.... But how they sang it when it was released and now Please 😊😊

This wasn't a performance ... it was an exorcism ... one of the top 5 live performances of all time for me

Fast as you can, universe, criminal, sailor... So many good songs! My favorite artist for sure! And bjork as well! 👍😎

I looove Fiona. You might know her from her song Criminal :). Which was quite something in the late 90's.
Yep - she’s been knocking around for time! Tidal still blows me away.
And the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ignored her when she became eligible.

thoroughly recommend her live performance of "I know (live @Largo)" super dynamic, engaging and emotional.

I remember her being all over MTV in the 90s
I feel like she's gotten better and better the further she's slipped into obscurity. Her newer material is jawdropping.
loved this reaction!!! please do more fiona 🙏🙏

Her only big hit was when she was younger; which is absurd because her later work was far better and never got air play
