Wildb357 I always sort of interpreted him this way. A once proud warrior who wasn’t strong enough to save those he held dear (The Jackal Squad) he wanted to become stronger, he needed to become stronger so he could protect those he cared for. However, in his attempt to become stronger, he fell into madness and a desire to see the world burn for wronging him. Every time he lost and begins to succumb to paranoia, it isn’t because he’s an egomaniac, It’s because it makes him think back to when he couldn’t save his squad. He’s tried to separate himself from his identity that being exposed to the truth of his weakness that he breaks down. That’s my interpretation anyway.
The correlation between the illustrations & the music’s progression... this is more than just an orchestral theme, more than just a story, this is ART!
I can picture a scene where Infinite has a flashback of his past and sacrifices himself at the end (similar to Shadow in SA2) with this music playing. You know a song is that good when it can make you create images in your head :)
This god tier. I mean the first half is very calm and weak and then just a little over the halfway mark it gets so intense like Infinite himself is trying to cover up his weakness.

While listening to this and reading the comments made me think of this, it might be bad but i don’t really care. Infinite has been beaten by Sonic and The Avatar. He bounces back, pushing the mask up to his face. It is damaged, close to breaking. “Well, well. I didn’t think you could lose. Oh well, it doesn’t matter.” Eggman floats into view, his egg pod thing (dunno its name) protrude several tendrils that grab and tie around Infinite. He struggles as he’s brought face to face with Eggman. “I had great hope for you. But I guess you were just too weak. Always have been. No wonder your squad was so useless.” Eggman spat, another tendril wrapping itself around the phantom Ruby in his chest. Infinite growls with anger at the mention of his squad, reaching for Eggman, but being held back. The tendril pulls on the Phantom Ruby, ripping it out of his chest. Infinite screams in pain and falls down meekly. Eggman takes hold of the Phantom Ruby, tossing infinite to the ground. Infinite’s mask crashes against the hard floor, pieces of it breaking off. “Not so fast, Eggman!” Sonic yells as he and the custom hero both attempt to strike Eggman, only to be blasted back. Eggman laughs maniacally as his vehicle floats away to the top of a tower, he places the Phantom Ruby in a machine and it begins to glow with a mythical power, reality being pushed to its limits. Infinite is their clutching his mask, trying to keep it secure. To not let his so called ‘unsightly face’ to be seen again. The Avatar is unconscious, unable to be stirred. Sonic stares at the destruction around him, as the final bit of hope in him dies. “It’s over.....he won... Robotnik won...” Sonic admits, falling down in despair. Shadow stares at them all with his stone cold face as usual. His eyes land on Infinite. He walks over to him and glares at him in anger. “And what are you doing here?! Crumbling and drowning in your own self pity?! Pathetic! If you continue to wallow in sadness, you will become as weak as Eggman told you! You say you’re not weak, THEN PROVE IT! Or your friend’s deaths were for nothing!” Shadow yells at Infinite. Infinite growled in anger. “I am not weak....i am not weak...” he repeats. He turns to Shadow, glaring at him with his blue eye. “I. AM. NOT. WEAK!” He turns around, growling. He reaches to attack Shadow, before stopping. He turns to the glowing Spire. He searches deep within himself. Although he was cut off from the Phantom Ruby’s full power, some of its energy seeped inside of him. Channeling that energy he dashes to the spire, at extreme speeds. He reaches the top, Eggman is their in a super charged mech, the Phantom Ruby still emitting intense energy. “EGGMAN! IVE COME FOR YOURE HEAD!” Infinite yells. Eggman smirks, gesturing him to attack. Infinite concentrates the energy inside of him into the form of a weapon. A blade similar to the one he used in the past. He leaps at Eggman, slicing at the Mech while dashing around. Once the mech is heavily damaged, Infinite jumps at the cockpit and punches through it, clawing his way through. Eggman jumps back and attempts to push him back, only to be thrown out of his mech. It tumbles to the bottom of the spire, causing a massive tremor at impact. Infinite raises his blade to kill Eggman, but stops. He turns to the over charged Phantom Ruby. He begins to walk towards it with his sword raised. “You fool! The energy will kill you!” Eggman yelled, retreating. Infinite matched forward. Thinking back to his squad. He remembered finding their corpses and feeling so....useless in avenging them. His theme jumps back into earshot, louder and more fearsome then ever. The energy begins to burn Infinite, and began to melt his mask to his face, causing terrible, terrible, *terrible* pain. It didn’t matter to him though. This pain was what he deserved. As he raised his sword to destroy the Ruby, his theme grows soft as we hear the final words of the chorus *This pain persist, I can’t resist...* *...but that’s what It takes to be infinite.* Right as The final word is uttered, his blade makes contact with the Ruby. The top of the spire explodes in a intense amount of energy. It begins crashing down, the last of the Eggman empire, crumbling to pieces.

TriNic I can relate to this, I’m probably the most “edgiest” person in my school but I’m both literally and metaphorically a teddy bear but even softer.
I have been studying all of the picture's of this video for a long time now and now every time i play this on my computer or tablet……The story that my mind has created always seem to play. The 1st represents infinite after the many tests was conducted on him for the phantom ruby to work on his body and the look in his eye tells me that a bit of soul is gone. The 2nd one represents his childhood, one where he was a great shame to his family because of his blue eye and was always to "weak" to help with anything. The 3rd one represents his teen year's and he has gotten stronger and faster and found the love of his life, (because i believe that "infinite" didn't do everything in sonic forces just because he was weak) she would even protect him from his family and would join him in his squad of "Jackal squad" to find rich's and a new home. The 4th one represents him as a adult now and found his old friend's from school and collage, and convince them to join his squad and "Infinite" have gotten a rare sword from a job that nearly took a week to do. The 5th one represents them all as a legendary mercenary force dubbed as "jackal squad" for their actions and words. They soon assault eggman's base (the one in the comic in the desert) and failed. "Infinite" was the only not capture after getting hit by the phantom ruby...…after he opened his eyes, he saw that his squad was about be executed for the bold attack....Eggman laugh as his robot's are getting ready to finish the job. "Infinite" then Plea's to eggman to let his squad go.....Then a deal was struck, to protect his base in the jungle and NEVER cross him. (All of "infinite's" squad had a collar on their necks) The 6th one represents Eggman's test's on the phantom ruby on lifeforce. Only infinite got a reaction from the phantom ruby and it showed what would happen to the world in nearly 8 months and he was left scared because of this. The 7th one...….He lost it all.....his squad...…his sword.....and the love of his life..... after the "battle" with shadow...…the face represents he has given up on a happy life...all he ever knew has come and Go. The 8th one represents the last gift he ever got from the love of his life...…The mask, a final reminder that "Jackal squad" was a force to help those who are in need (like the many disaster's from the sonic game's and cannon comic's, Note sonic forces take's place on mobius not earth) The 9th one....IT represents the result of the many experiments that was done on his body......no longer he would enjoy food nor water again...….eggman did his best to remove ANYTHING that would be a weakness on his mortal body. Eggman says he's ready for a field test before they attack the city, and infinite had the perfect idea. The 10th one Represents (enter episode shadow) After so much PAIN and HATRED in his body he was able to release it all on shadow for everything he had done to him and his squad...…but shadow doesn't even remember him The 11th one Represents Infinite plunder shadow INTO the reality that infinite created to show him who he is....and what he did to his squad...Then sent him to the ruby reality of the ARK and made him suffer and left him to his own device's. The 12th one Represents the war (main game) he fight's in and show's them that there's no HOPE for their resistance…Here's a line from infinite to confirm this: "Seeing is believing". The 14th one represents his defeat after sonic and (custom hero). His last words to world was: "No...WAIT.....I CAN STILL FIGHT!". As he enters a healing pod, he was yanked out by eggman's robots and eggman saying "I should have known you're TRASH from the start...….get rid of him" and infinite was sent to a pod to a very faraway place never to be seen again. The Last one represents the phantom ruby giving infinite One last vision before it was ripped out of him....His squad is there, alive and his blue eye is a yellow one now.....and the love of his life, alive..... Infinite knows what this means now......IT will comeback for him.....and now infinite will await the call of the phantom ruby....and then "Finish this war". Let me know if i miss something and let me know what you think. Because in my eye's.....infinite was a victim of circumstance. (i fixed a few things and replace some as well)

When you fight the boss: Theme of Infinite When you unlock them as a playable character: Honestly if they remake this game to be longer with a better story, OR, make a sequel regarding a redemption arc for him, this should be the theme
This...this is really, really good. I like how the first half is all calm and peaceful and, dare I say it, weak, and then once it hits 2:44 it gets intense and out to kill, still weak in a sense, but trying to cover up that weakness at all costs. Combined with the visuals, there's no way this wasn't meant to portray his character and history, thirsting for strength and descending into insanity, before finally meeting his end(?) at the hands of Sonic and co. Great use of the original melodies all around, gives off a completely different feel than the original or your first cover. And I like that, how someone can take a song and flip its meaning all around. Great job, man. You've clearly got what it takes to be infinite.

I know he's technically dead, but Infinite absolutely needs to return, and after being stuck alone in the Phantom Ruby for a long time, he would actully be much more angressive and unpredictable, just like he always should have been.
Theme of Infinite if he realised (with the help of the irritating Sonic & Co.) that he has redeemable qualities, but that he has no choice but to fight them due to where he's brought himself in life. Like a bittersweet boss battle. Or Infinite hesitating before switching sides.
Though it's sick and all, I still prefer the first version, because it's more faithful to the original. Also, if you were to read/listen to suggestions, do ya think it's possible that you do an orchestral version of "Ruby Illusions" (VS. Final Boss / Sonic Mania)? Ruby Illusions is a mess of mechanic disorder for showing Eggman's insanity, I always wondered if that insanity could be reinterpreted throughout the pureness of instruments.

The fandom did a better job with Infinite that Sega ever could. His backstory was lame and in Forces he was sorely underdeveloped. But the fandom has made up for that in so much ways, some like this

I have been studying all of the picture's of this video for a long time now and now every time i play this on my computer or tablet……The story that my mind has created always seem to play.
The 1st represents infinite after the many tests was conducted on him for the phantom ruby to work on his body and the look in his eye tells me that a bit of soul is gone.
The 2nd one represents his childhood, one where he was a great shame to his family because of his blue eye and was always to "weak" to help with anything.
The 3rd one represents his teen year's and he has gotten stronger and faster and found the love of his life, (because i believe that "infinite" didn't do everything in sonic forces just because he was weak) she would even protect him from his family and would join him in his squad of "Jackal squad" to find rich's and a new home.
The 4th one represents him as a adult now and found his old friend's from school and collage, and convince them to join his squad and "Infinite" have gotten a rare sword from a job that nearly took a week to do.
The 5th one represents them all as a legendary mercenary force dubbed as "jackal squad" for their actions and words. They soon assault eggman's base (the one in the comic in the desert) and failed.
"Infinite" was the only not capture after getting hit by the phantom ruby...…after he opened his eyes, he saw that his squad was about be executed for the bold attack....Eggman laugh as his robot's are getting ready to finish the job. "Infinite" then Plea's to eggman to let his squad go.....Then a deal was struck, to protect his base in the jungle and NEVER cross him. (All of "infinite's" squad had a collar on their necks)
The 6th one represents Eggman's test's on the phantom ruby on lifeforce. Only infinite got a reaction from the phantom ruby and it showed what would happen to the world in nearly 8 months and he was left scared because of this.
The 7th one...….He lost it all.....his squad...…his sword.....and the love of his life..... after the "battle" with shadow...…the face represents he has given up on a happy life...all he ever knew has come and Go.
The 8th one represents the last gift he ever got from the love of his life...…The mask, a final reminder that "Jackal squad" was a force to help those who are in need (like the many disaster's from the sonic game's and cannon comic's, Note sonic forces take's place on mobius not earth)
The 9th one....IT represents the result of the many experiments that was done on his body......no longer he would enjoy food nor water again...….eggman did his best to remove ANYTHING that would be a weakness on his mortal body. Eggman says he's ready for a field test before they attack the city, and infinite had the perfect idea.
The 10th one Represents (enter episode shadow) After so much PAIN and HATRED in his body he was able to release it all on shadow for everything he had done to him and his squad...…but shadow doesn't even remember him
The 11th one Represents Infinite plunder shadow INTO the reality that infinite created to show him who he is....and what he did to his squad...Then sent him to the ruby reality of the ARK and made him suffer and left him to his own device's.
The 12th one Represents the war (main game) he fight's in and show's them that there's no HOPE for their resistance…Here's a line from infinite to confirm this: "Seeing is believing".
The 14th one represents his defeat after sonic and (custom hero). His last words to world was: "No...WAIT.....I CAN STILL FIGHT!".
As he enters a healing pod, he was yanked out by eggman's robots and eggman saying "I should have known you're TRASH from the start...….get rid of him" and infinite was sent to a pod to a very faraway place never to be seen again.
The Last one represents the phantom ruby giving infinite One last vision before it was ripped out of him....His squad is there, alive and his blue eye is a yellow one now.....and the love of his life, alive.....
Infinite knows what this means now......IT will comeback for him.....and now infinite will await the call of the phantom ruby....and then "Finish this war".
Let me know if i miss something and let me know what you think.

Honestly if they remake this game to be longer with a better story, OR, make a sequel regarding a redemption arc for him, this should be the theme
This...this is really, really good. I like how the first half is all calm and peaceful and, dare I say it, weak, and then once it hits 2:44 it gets intense and out to kill, still weak in a sense, but trying to cover up that weakness at all costs. Combined with the visuals, there's no way this wasn't meant to portray his character and history, thirsting for strength and descending into insanity, before finally meeting his end(?) at the hands of Sonic and co. Great use of the original melodies all around, gives off a completely different feel than the original or your first cover. And I like that, how someone can take a song and flip its meaning all around. Great job, man. You've clearly got what it takes to be infinite.

I know he's technically dead, but Infinite absolutely needs to return, and after being stuck alone in the Phantom Ruby for a long time, he would actully be much more angressive and unpredictable, just like he always should have been.

Theme of Infinite if he realised (with the help of the irritating Sonic & Co.) that he has redeemable qualities, but that he has no choice but to fight them due to where he's brought himself in life. Like a bittersweet boss battle. Or Infinite hesitating before switching sides.
