Yup! Just let them be! If you want to do anything prune any longer branches halfway up to encourage more branching growth but otherwise just keep them happy!
I planted comfrey and blackberries together too. Had to cut my blackberries back to the ground because something got on them. Now they are coming back. Can they be moved?
I watch his videos also beside yours, I’ve seen his thornless vines. I’m interested in his raspberries he said would grow in north Texas when I asked him. I’m going to also try thornless blackberry’s. I’ve heard the thornless black berry’s are not as sweet as the throned ones?
That is correct, they are not as sweet until the very most ripe. I compare them to my native very thorny dewberries. The dewberries are sweeter even when not as ripe but in peak season the thornless are still very very tasty and sweet. I want to try my hand at raspberries at well but literally no one near me has been successful so I'm focusing on blueberries for now as my new fruit venture
Such a great and informative video! The berries were so huge!
Thank you for this video!
If my plants were too young to fruit this year, do I just let them be? They’ve put on a lot of growth.
