That what me and my brother was saying. We both play ps5 but if we want to do certain things like combos you really need to slow your input timing down. Which is hard for me to do when I’m playing because I’m an aggressive player.

I never got an update. As soon as I saw on UA-cam, there was a patch already. i checked my game, and it said it was up to date. When I look at download history, I do not see any updates for the game in there, just the installation.
The AI is BS. I seriously think auto blocking auto dodging and z-countering your every move is BS on a normal difficulty. It feels like im playing on Nightmare mode in hell despite it being "normal" difficulty.
I dont want input read hell. I want AI that engages with me instead of just waiting for me to attack and handing my ass to me no matter what i do it firces a single play style that even then DOES NOT WORK
A brick wall is more engaging at that point

Really is a skill issue I felt that way for first 12 hours or summit but coz I was button mashing when you truly start to pick it up and not spammy it’s feels lot easier time ur teleports and mix in ur dashes don’t always z port behind and spam square or x mix ur combos
I agree, game is great but among the flaws is one of the biggest and that being the AI during story. They have no personality outside of charge, spam beam, and stand still waiting for you to attack just to counter n hit you wit a 14-20 piece combo smh. Hopefully they fix this, dont know how but someway somehow hope they do

Ive played all the Tenkaichi games. I know the combos and how to extend them aside from the differences in some of the extenders the vanish and especially Z-counter windows are massively better. Its loads easier to perform. The issue that i have is that im being forced too sweat on a lower difficulty because the game input reads my every move. That shit is expected on hard difficulties not normal or lower as people have been saying the AI is over tuned and i agree with it. Especially in the episode battles. Its ridiculous. I may as well have it on the hard modes cause frankly it does feel any different regardless of difficulty setting. So hearing the "skill issue" retort is pretty retarded in my opinion when newer players to the series arent even going to stand a hair balls chance in seeing the later content because of this brick wall called input reading.
@@jaysonsingleyon2157 frankly i find the windows for vanishing and z-counters are so mich easier in this game. I just find it ridiculous how the AI spams one move or sits there are blocks counters and vanishes everything you do. It forces you into a set playstyle. And despite there being "lower" difficulties it honestly does not feel any different between normal and hard.
I felt that frustration in the beginning, but I'm beating tf outta the AI now on the strongest difficulty.
I wanted cutscenes not cards. I also don't like that the ai seems to block and dodge everything. While you're hitting them it seems like they're not having any affect cuz they just brush it off and hit you back

Okay if I’m being honest…it feels like there should be another mode. If anyone played the originals you know the ultimate modes were legit some of the most fun. They also were secretive about all the playable modes only to have just the regular modes we knew about already.

I want to see more video animation footages when playing . Instead of PowerPoint slides. I want a saga story mode instead of playing each character. Like ifought cell with gohan after beating kid Buu with Goku. The game is a mess imo. I dont like how there is only 2 attacks and and the other two are "skills" .

definitely some glaring issues I love the game but there are some big problems , the what ifs suck and feel like there way to hard to actually do for some of them , some of the combat has little issues but annoying , the ai is episode mode isn't even difficult its just unfair at times
Another issue I noticed online was that sometimes my control scheme changes from custom to assisted and its annoying when trying to do super combos

A chunk of the game is unresponsive and the ENTIRE defense system needs some major polish or a complete rework.
Only things I wish they changed is the story mode slide show. Make it more like BT3. And make it harder to unlock characters. Like put some unluck challenges that hard a little hard to complete

It's disgustingly bad how this game is acceptable. Your combos are lackluster. Your roster is sloped skins that would be all attached to the original character. There are no customizations this is beyond the lack lustrous most Dragon Ball z game there is there is no animation in the campaign after the first saga. If you pay more than $100 for this this is absolutely stealing your money

Id only really respect extremely expensive prices if this was fully animated down to the littlest details, like 10 years of details. A fully customizable roster with your own custom characters slots, cosmetics and ability to get everything in the dbz universe. Not to mention ever version of dbz being added as bonuses content. Like all the original dbz games that are lost to time.

If the difficulty is lowered it doesn’t allow you to get alternate paths, and look at the path you took and whatever it said to get that path it’s normally like the opposite like when fighting frieza you use the spirit bomb but to trigger the alternate path you just need to kill him in any other way, most of the triggers are just defeating someone quickly or in a different order
I couldn't get into it. Combat felt so clunky, even went into practise\training thing to try get used to it but it just never clicked. I liked the complexity of the fighting, but it just doesn't feel right. Also these 3d environment db games never sat right with me, I can't keep track of where the opponent is sometimes with all the rocks blocking the view lol. Budokai 3 next to Fighter Z are my fav db games. Also the episode mode felt very tacked on and lazy, I get that it is a pvp focused game but come on it has been like 17 years and this is the best they could do? Fighter Z literally introduced a new character albeit not canon but still a good character that felt right in the db universe, and a whole story surrounding them as well. I expected more from Sparking Zero, being a successor to budokai.
I really wanted to like this one, but I just can't. Maybe I will try kakarot, and pray they do a tournament of power dlc lol. Good to hear some db fans are enjoying it at least, it is just not for me.

The only issues that I'm experiencing with the game on Steam/PC is that I click play/run, it will say "run" but will instantly say "play" and won't bring up the game at all.
I'd tried picture-mode on Steam, it does bring up the game but will instantly crash or close the game immediately
So, that's what I'm experiencing right now and some others are either the same boat as me or experiencing something else entirely.

Yes, though the Tournament of power feels like plenty of opponents if you go solo. They’ve all got 3-stack teams.

The game honestly could have used another year in the oven.
I'm enjoying it but overall, the presentation from the story mode to many of the UIs and menus feel very slapdash and beta level; the World Tournament mode's in particular is atrocious; not an iota of soul. Then there's the ridiculous AI... the CPU shouldn't be dodging all my attacks at point blank range and casually blocking, parrying and negating most of my offense on even the lowest difficulty. Not to mention that when my attacks DO land it feels as if they barely grazed my opponent. The combat is sorely lacking in the impact department.
The game, for all it has to offer, feels incomplete and still requires much polish.
I wouldnt say a year but yeah maybe like 3 more months, one the other hand i really wanted to play the game so im happy that its out now.
Also on the 11th with the offical release we are getting a new patch with a offical built of the game, 10 gb, maybe some stuff gets improved there.

I only played this game for a hour yesterday, so I can’t fully speak, but I did notice deep mechanics in the training mode. Could it just be that you don’t know all the mechanics as of yet, and because of that, it’s harder to break their block, make them run out of ki, etc? I just think this game definitely has a big learning curve. I mean the amount of counters, blocks, etc I saw yesterday of playing it, made me wanna play it another day instead of late that night haha.

To anyone having issues on the ps5 overheating and hard shutting off: you’re gonna have to get it professionally cleaned or have your own tools to open up every piece of your ps5 to dust. I was having the same issue and it was only big ps5 games that would hard crash, after the cleaning the problem went away completely, but I have a feeling I’ll have to do it again in a few years
Just cleaned my whole system like 2 weeks ago down to the fan and motherboard and it's still Super overheating only on this game

What work for me was putting it sideways. I had mine standing since I bought it. Nba2k25 did it to me 2 (got messages saying is hot)once I put it sideway it work better. Less message from overheating and no autoshotdown....

It’s a good game but I agree with the criticism, everyone has the same control scheme, it gets repetitive very quickly, fighterz is the best dragon ball game hands down
this game is good but man i suggest people only buy this game at full price if you plan to do online if you only want cpu fights just wait for it to go on sale i was hyped af for this game but after playing it for a bit it didnt feel like bt3 at all and just a normal arena fighting game
I wish that there was a label that told you like, what type of character each one was. You kinda have to use your imagination. The reason being is that every character type has a certain set of rush attack options, and knowing the type helps with combo theory.

Game is extremely unbalanced only the super characters do massive damage and also seems to just be spamming ultimate moves to take out 2-3 health bars this game needs balancing

Sparking Zero is based of the previous Tenkaichi games, and this is just simply how the game works. You’ll get better as you play a character. I will admit that they block alot more in this game though.

Early access is just a marketing strategy, the game is done and released. It’s basically a late access for people who pay less

Sure, you have people that’ll complain about the bugs in the game, as you just said, but the other half is talking about the actual gameplay, story, animations, etc, that a day 1 patch can’t fix, and since it’s technically a “completed game”, more than likely, whatchu bought, is what you get. People are even talking about their PS5 overheating with this game, which probably isn’t a Sparking Zero problem. Anyway, I’m just the messenger.

to be 100% honest, I do like this game, but the story mode is unnecessarily hard due to enemies spamming like hell and lowering the difficulty only makes you not able to do certain stuff and nothing else, also some lag spikes mainly on main menu
Yea I thought I was the only one even with the learning curve it’s very tedious at a certain point depending on the character your playing sometimes all you can do is spam back when you’re pushed into a corner 😂😂 other than that I love the game

The only thing I want changed ids for the perfect smashes to not make you vanish behind your opponent….it changes our positioning when it’s not wanted when we’re on the offense and it comes out slow in this game it should be in your face and a little faster

SEE THIS IF YOUR ON STEAM USING A CONTROLLER AND HAVE DELAYED ISSUES:Just wire the controllers to the ps5/pc/ Xbox and it shouldn’t be delayed guys. Or just play close to your device but it’s quite annoying because you can’t use a damn controller 3 feet out your console/pc without a cord
The advance dbz sz players on ps5 should adjust the frame rate to quality mode. Smooths out the highend pace of the game. Allowing you to play with less heating up. Performance mode needs the developers update.

I play it on the PS5, and I noticed something with the gameplay on story mode. I get my player looking like static or like they are about to disappear, but its not a move but more like a glitch. Along with this, my player will sometimes freeze while in the middle of a combo. I think my controller died, but then it starts acting normal. I think it might be the game forcing me to lose, or its only made to fight till their helth is low, not for me to beat them. I would be hitting buttons but nothing happens yet i can still move around.

Another problem is when you transform sometimes the animation doesn’t go away they will keep the aura around them like there charging but there not an ssj 2 goku transformation animation needs alittle work button registration is alittle wonky but 10/10 game
I ran this game hard on my PS5 and it had no issues except a minor studder going to the customize/Shop screen. I can’t wait to see it on the PS5 Pro.
The only issue I have is that every characters feels the same. The combat system itself feels good tho.

It's okay at best. Doesn't hold a candle to Budokai 3, Tenkaichi 2,3 and even the Raging Blast games.
There's definitely some minor problems and a couple things I think that they need to add through quality of life updates like Transformations for certain characters like the other Saiyans with tails little goku and I'm not sure why garlic Juniors first form was left out but it definitely needs to be added but outside of that I'm really happy

The stuttering is a fact for sure. But the gameplay also has issues, specifically a input delay, is not that much but its definitely there. Hopefully Bandai Namco listens to the feedback and pushes either a hot fix or an update soon.
Its more time limit for Selecting teams and buttons to be fix
Overheating issue: check the dust catchers in yall ps5 I was having that issue on AstroBot at one point till I had vacuum it out
The only problem is the lack of cutscenes the slide shows are annoying
I want to be able to edit my items on my character during the episode battle instead of going all the way back the customization menu.
Does the game randomly crash for anyone? I have a very beefy laptop and it seems to just quit the game every now and then (avg 30 mins)
Some of the inputs don’t work with certain characters, and sometimes I can’t switch characters

Highly disagree it’s not suppose to be just fan service it’s suppose to be a good game no matter if it’s an anime game or not. You are critiquing a game. Regardless it’s a good game and has depth.

regarding the stuttering does it like switch back and forth when you want to be on one section but it went back to the previous section. that stuttering.
I couldn't leave the tournament menu so it gets stuck on the menu and I am pressing "x" so am unable to leave sometimes
Fan service? XD if you don’t like dragon ball of course you’d see it as fan service because the game is built around the idea of the dragon ball universe. Still great in-depth combat!
The camera glitching button delay is my only problems
Ok so here are a few if my Nitpicks and a few if my genuine criticisms.
Nitpick: World tournament doesn't address the characters specifically and sometimes the announcer says things that don't make sense or repeat too much.
Genuine Criticism: Why call it an "Encyclopedia" if there is no Bio, No Information, nothing about the characters other than whats said in Girl Talk? It's more of a character viewer. doesn't even list the voice actors for each.
GC: Not enough time to pick characters in Online Mode. 30 or 40 seconds to pick 5 characters with how you have the select screen? C'mon
GC: Some of the UI and stuff isn't very intuitive or is sometimes inconvenient. For example in order to go from the shop to the customize screen you have to go all the way back to the main menu. This type of thing is also in Training Mode, Where instead of automatically going to the next lesson after you're done, you have to exit to go back to the training list.
Nitpick: Some character transformations i feel should have better animations. Like Kale to Berserk should definitely have something special.
Nitpick: Zeni reward reducing significantly after first win in world tournament mode. honestly it hurts the replayability of that mode. so maybe not a nitpick?
Nitpick: Shenron Wishes are kinda Vague and sometimes feel like wastes. "Raise My player level"... by 1 or...? (it gives you XP)
I have a 2080ti and the game runs my PC fairly loud and hot. I even had the game crash once but not sure if it was random or my PC getting too hot.
After hearing about some having similar issues with PS5 version I am thinking the game isn't very well optimized, maybe?
Also, I HATE when games have these overly elaborate/ambitious menu screens as it always just bogs down the quickness and efficiency that menus should be striving for.
I mean this with utmost respect my friend: but you have the most powerful card from two and a half generations ago. It may be time to update considering the vram of that card is falling behind just a little.

@@BorninFlames237 I am fully aware of the power of my gpu. I am upgrading soon, nevertheless, my 2080ti still handles the majority of stuff very well, and this game's rec card is slightly worse than mine
I got a 700pc I put my settings on medium. It plays preferably fine. It’s not strong as the PlayStation five but it plays pretty good.
